NON-EXISTENCE OF LOCAL INTEGRALS OF MOTION IN THE MULTI-DEFORMED ISING MODEL

PEDRO D. FONSECA

Abstract

We confirm the non-integrability of the multi-deformed Ising model — an already expected result. After deforming with the energy operator ϕ1,3, we use the Majorana free fermionic representation for the massive theory to show that, besides the trivial one, no local integrals of motion can be built in the theory arising from perturbing with both energy and spin operators.

INTEGRALS OF MOTION AND S-MATRIX OF THE (SCALED) T = T c ISING MODEL WITH MAGNETIC FIELD

Al.B. Zamolodchikov

It is shown that the field theory describing the scaling limit of T = T c Ising model with nonzero magnetic field possesses a number of nontrivial local integrals of motion. The exact mass spectrum and S-matrix of this field theory is conjectured.

On the integrable structure of the Ising model

Alessandro Nigro

Starting from the lattice A 3 realization of the Ising model defined on a strip with integrable boundary conditions, the exact spectrum (including excited states) of all the local integrals of motion is derived in the continuum limit by means of thermodynamic Bethe ansatz techniques. It is also possible to follow the massive flow of this spectrum between the UV c = 1/2 conformal fixed point and the massive IR theory. The UV expression of the eigenstates of such integrals of motion in terms of Virasoro modes is found to have only rational coefficients and their fermionic representation turns out to be simply related to the quantum numbers describing the spectrum.

On The S-Matrix of Ising Field Theory in Two Dimensions

Barak Gabai, Xi Yin

We explore the analytic structure of the non-perturbative S-matrix in arguably the simplest family of massive non-integrable quantum field theories: the Ising field theory (IFT) in two dimensions, which may be viewed as the Ising CFT deformed by its two relevant operators, or equivalently, the scaling limit of the Ising model in a magnetic field. Our strategy is that of collider physics: we employ Hamiltonian truncation method (TFFSA) to extract the scattering phase of the lightest particles in the elastic regime, and combine it with S-matrix bootstrap methods based on unitarity and analyticity assumptions to determine the analytic continuation of the 2 to 2 S-matrix element to the complex s-plane. Focusing primarily on the "high temperature" regime in which the IFT interpolates between that of a weakly coupled massive fermion and the E8 affine Toda theory, we will numerically determine 3-particle amplitudes, follow the evolution of poles and certain resonances of the S-matrix, and exclude the possibility of unknown wide resonances up to reasonably high energies.

Free Fermions and Two-Dimensional Ising Model

V. N. Plechko

The two-dimensional Ising model is representable as a lattice free-fermion field theory in terms of the integral over anticommuting Grassmann variables. The exact solution in a zero magnetic field then follows by evaluating Gaussian fermionic integral for partition function. It is argued that by switching on of a non-zero magnetic field the non-local and non-Gaussian fermionic terms appear in the action, which rather imply approximating methods of the analysis.
