Functional relations in the eight - vertex model

Vladimir V. Bazhanov

We observe that the exactly solved eight-vertex solid-on-solid model contains an hitherto unnoticed arbitrary field parameter, similar to the horizontal field in the six-vertex model. The parameter is required to describe a continuous spectrum of the unrestricted solid-on-solid model, which has an infinite-dimensional space of states even for a finite lattice. The introduction of the continuous field parameter allows us to completely review the theory of functional relations in the eight-vertex/SOS-model from a uniform analytic point of view.

PARAMETRIZED EIGHT-VERTEX MODEL AND KNOT INVARIANT

T.K. Kassenova

The article discusses and expands the known elements of the eight-vertex model, paying special attention to the parameterization of the matrix. The matrix values are interconnected with the knot through the braids and this model is valid on finite square lattices in two-dimensional space. A new solution of the parametrized eight-vertex model of free fermions with a complex version of elliptic functions, which is valid on a finite lattice, will be constructed. The range of applicability of the eight-vertex model with elements of the Jacobi elliptic function and the construction of a knot invariant on its basis is discussed by comparing the results obtained analytically for the model. The construction of the knot invariant using the Clebsch-Gordan coefficients and the main tool of statistical mechanics of the Yang-Baxter equation will be studied in detail

EQUATIONS FOR CORRELATION FUNCTIONS OF EIGHT-VERTEX MODEL: FERROMAGNETIC AND DISORDERED PHASES

Michael Lashkevich

The Kyoto group (Jimbo, Miwa, Nakayashiki et al.) has developed methods for calculating correlation functions of the eight-vertex model in antiferromagnetic phases. We extend these methods to ferromagnetic and disordered phases. We use Baxter’s symmetries to substantiate the validity of the analytical approach for these phases.
