Deformed two-photon squeezed states in noncommutative space

Abstract

Recent studies on nonperturbation aspects of noncommutative quantum mechanics explored a new type of boson commutation relations at the deformed level, described by deformed annihilation–creation operators in noncommutative space. This correlated boson commutator correlates different degrees of freedom, and shows an essential influence on dynamics. This Letter devotes to the development of formalism of deformed two-photon squeezed states in noncommutative space. General representations of deformed annihilation–creation operators and the consistency condition for the electromagnetic wave with a single mode of frequency in noncommunicative space are obtained. Two-photon squeezed states are studied. One finds that variances of the dimensionless Hermitian quadratures of the annihilation operator in one degree of freedom include variances in the other degree of freedom. Such correlations show the new feature of spatial noncommutativity and allow a deeper understanding of the correlated boson commutator.

Coherent quantum squeezing due to the phase space noncommutativity

Alex E. Bernardini, Salomon Sylvain Mizrahi

The effects of general noncommutativity of operators on producing deformed coherent squeezed states is examined in phase space. A two-dimensional noncommutative (NC) quantum system supported by a deformed mathematical structure, similar to that of Hadamard billiard, is obtained and the components behaviour is monitored in time. It is assumed that the independent degrees of freedom are two free 1D harmonic oscillators (HOs), so the system Hamiltonian does not contain interaction terms. Through the NC deformation parameterized by a Seiberg–Witten transform on the original canonical variables, one gets the standard commutation relations for the new ones, such that the obtained, new, Hamiltonian represents two interacting 1D HOs. By admitting that one HO is inverted relatively to the other, we show that their effective interaction induces a squeezing dynamics for initial coherent states imaged in the phase space. A suitable pattern of logarithmic spirals is obtained and some relevant properties are discussed in terms of Wigner functions, which are essential to put in evidence the effects of the noncommutativity.

Fractional angular momentum in non-commutative spaces

Jian-zu Zhang A B

In noncommutative spaces to maintain Bose–Einstein statistics for identical particles at the non-perturbation level described by deformed annihilation-creation operators when the state vector space of identical bosons is constructed by generalizing one-particle quantum mechanics it is explored that the consistent ansatz of commutation relations of phase space variables should simultaneously include space–space non-commutativity and momentum–momentum non-commutativity, and a new type of boson commutation relations at the deformed level is obtained. Consistent perturbation expansions of deformed annihilation-creation operators are obtained. The influence of the new boson commutation relations on dynamics is discussed. The non-perturbation and perturbation property of the orbital angular momentum of two-dimensional system are investigated. Its spectrum possesses fractional eigen values and fractional intervals.

A new class off-deformed charge coherent states and their nonclassical properties

M Mortazavi, M K Tavassoly

Two-mode charge (pair) coherent states have been introduced previously by using the 〈η| representation. In this paper, we reobtain these states by a rather different method. Then, using the nonlinear coherent state approach and based on a simple manner by which the representation of two-mode charge coherent states is introduced, we generalize the bosonic creation and annihilation operators to the f -deformed ladder operators and construct a new class of f -deformed charge coherent states. Unlike the (linear) pair coherent states, our presented structure has the potential to generate a large class of pair coherent states with various nonclassicality signs and physical properties which are of interest. For this purpose, we use a few well-known nonlinearity functions associated with particular quantum systems as some physical appearances of our presented formalism. After introducing the explicit form of the above correlated states in the two-mode Fock space, several nonclassicality features of the corresponding states (as well as the two-mode linear charge coherent states) are numerically investigated by calculating quadrature squeezing, the Mandel parameter, the second-order correlation function, the second-order correlation function between the two modes and the Cauchy–Schwartz inequality. Also, the oscillatory behaviour of the photon count and the quasi-probability (Husimi) function of the associated states will be discussed. q -deformed noncommutative cat states and their nonclassical properties

Sanjib Dey

We study several classical-like properties of $q$-deformed nonlinear coherent states as well as nonclassical behaviors of $q$-deformed version of the Schr\"odinger cat states in noncommutative space. Coherent states in $q$-deformed space are found to be minimum uncertainty states together with the squeezed photon distributions unlike the ordinary systems, where the photon distributions are always Poissonian. Several advantages of utilizing cat states in noncommutative space over the standard quantum mechanical spaces have been reported here. For instance, the $q$-deformed parameter has been utilized to improve the squeezing of the quadrature beyond the ordinary case. Most importantly, the parameter provides an extra degree of freedom by which we achieve both quadrature squeezed and number squeezed cat states at the same time in a single system, which is impossible to achieve from ordinary cat states.

Representations of Coherent and Squeezed States in an Extended Two-parameters Fock Space

Mohammad Kazem Tavassoly, M.H. Lake

Recently a $f$-deformed Fock space which is spanned by $|n>_λ$ has been introduced. These bases are indeed the eigen-states of a deformed non-Hermitian Hamiltonian. In this contribution, we will use a rather new non-orthogonal basis vectors for the construction of coherent and squeezed states, which in special case lead to the earlier known states. For this purpose, we first generalize the previously introduced Fock space spanned by $|n>_λ$ bases, to a new one, spanned by an extended two-parameters bases $|n>_{λ_{1},λ_{2}}$. These bases are now the eigen-states of a non-Hermitian Hamiltonian $H_{λ_{1},λ_{2}}=a^{\dagger}_{λ_{1},λ_{2}}a+1/2$, where $a^{\dagger}_{λ_{1},λ_{2}}=a^{\dagger}+λ_{1}a + λ_{2}$ and $a$ are respectively, the deformed creation and ordinary bosonic annihilation operators. The bases $|n>_{λ_{1},λ_{2}}$ are non-orthogonal (squeezed states), but normalizable. Then, we deduce the new representations of coherent and squeezed states, in our two-parameters Fock space. Finally, we discuss the quantum statistical properties, as well as the non-classical properties of the obtained states, numerically.

Linear dependence of deformed two-photon quadrature operators on spatial noncommutative parameter

Ying Wu

By deriving useful formulas on the variances of the deformed two-photon quadrature operators in noncommutative space, we show that the variances in general have a linear dependence on the spatial noncommutative parameter θ, significantly different from the previous θ2-dependence results. The θ-dependence instead of θ2-dependence results make the scheme of testing the space noncommutativity via measuring such variances much easier to realize experimentally, well within the reach of nowadays technology.
