Aspects of the inverse problem for the Toda chain

Karol Kajetan Kozlowski

We generalize Babelon's approach to equations in dual variables so as to be able to treat new types of operators which we build out of the sub-constituents of the model's monodromy matrix. Further, we also apply Sklyanin's recent monodromy matrix identities so as to obtain equations in dual variables for yet other operators. The schemes discussed in this paper appear to be universal and thus, in principle, applicable to many models solvable through the quantum separation of variables.

THE CN TODA CHAIN

Vincent Pasquier

We obtain the exact equation for the spectrum of the CN Toda chain and for a spin chain which gives the Toda chain back in the infinite spin limit. The method we use is a variant of the Bethe Ansatz technique discovered by Sklyanin based on M. Gutzwiller's solution of the AN case.

On BaxterQ-operators for the Toda chain

G. P. Pronko

We suggest a procedure for the construction of Baxter Q -operators for the Toda chain. Apart from the one-parametric family of Q -operators, considered in our recent paper (Pronko 2000 Commun. Math. Phys. to appear) we also give the method of construction of two basic Q -operators and the derivation of the functional relations for these operators. Also we have found the relation of the basic Q -operators with Bloch solutions of the quantum linear problem.

Separation of Variables for Quantum Integrable Models Related to $${U_q}({\widehat {sl}_N})$$

Feodor Smirnov

In this paper we construct separated variables for quantum integrable models related to the algebra \({U_q}({\widehat {sl}_N})\). This generalizes the results by Sklyanin for N = 2, 3.
