New integrable extension of the Hubbard chain with variable range hopping

Abstract

A new integrable variant of the one-dimensional Hubbard model with variable-range correlated hopping is studied. The Hamiltonian is constructed by applying the quantum inverse scattering method on the infinite interval at zero density to the one-parameter deformation of the L -matrix of the Hubbard model. By construction, this model has symmetry in the infinite chain limit. Multiparticle eigenstates of the model are investigated by using this method.

Integrable variant of the one-dimensional Hubbard model

X.-W. Guan, Angela Foerster, Jon Links +3 more

A new integrable model which is a variant of the one-dimensional Hubbard model is proposed. The integrability of the model is verified by presenting the associated quantum R-matrix which satisfies the Yang–Baxter equation. We argue that the new model possesses the SO(4) algebra symmetry, which contains a representation of the η-pairing SU(2) algebra and a spin SU(2) algebra. Additionally, the algebraic Bethe ansatz is studied by means of the quantum inverse scattering method. The spectrum of the Hamiltonian, eigenvectors, as well as the Bethe ansatz equations, are discussed.

Yangian Symmetry and Quantum Inverse Scattering Method for the One-Dimensional Hubbard Model

Murakami, S, Gohmann, F, 村上修一 +1 more

We develop the quantum inverse scattering method for the one-dimensional Hubbard model on the infinite interval at zero density. R-matrix and monodromy matrix are obtained as limits from their known counterparts on the finite interval. The R-matrix greatly simplifies in the considered limit. The new R-matrix contains a submatrix which turns into the rational R-matrix of the XXX-chain by an appropriate reparametrization. The corresponding submatrix of the monodromy matrix thus provides a representation of the Y(su(2)) Yangian. From its quantum determinant we obtain an infinite series of mutually commuting Yangian invariant operators which includes the Hamiltonian. Temperley - Lieb algebra and a new integrable electronic model

Jon Links

A new correlated electron model is presented which is derived using the quantum inverse scattering method and is thus integrable in one dimension on a periodic lattice. The R-matrix is constructed from a representation of the Temperley - Lieb algebra. The associated Hamiltonian describes correlated hopping, electron pair hopping and a generalized spin interaction.

Optimized Wannier Functions for Hubbard Chain

J. Kurzyk, W. Wójcik, Józef Spałek

One-dimensional atomic chain with a variable-range hopping is described within the extended Hubbard model. The Gutzwiller-ansatz approximation is used to determine the optimized single-particle (Wannier) wave functions in the correlated state.Hopping integral up to the third neighbors is taken into account and the results are compared with those for the infinite hopping range.Ground state energy of the system is compared with that making use of the rigorous Lieb-Wu solution with the optimized wave functions. The evolution of the properties as a function of interatomic distance is discussed.
