Generation of three-dimensional graph state with Josephson charge qubits

Abstract

On the basis of generations of 1-dimensional and 2-dimensional graph states, we generate a 3-dimensional N3-qubit graph state based on the Josephson charge qubits. Since any two charge qubits can be selectively and effectively coupled by a common inductance, the controlled phase transform between any two-qubit can be performed. Accordingly, we can generate arbitrary multi-qubit graph states corresponding to arbitrary shape graph, which meet the expectations of various quantum information processing schemes. All the devices in the scheme are well within the current technology. It is a simple, scalable and feasible scheme for the generation of various graph states based on the Josephson charge qubits.

The generation of a regular dodecahedron graph state with a superconducting qubit network

Zheng Xiao-Hu, Bing Shi, Zhuo‐Liang Cao

We propose an improved architecture for the physical implementation of two-qubit operations between arbitrary pairs of qubits by current biasing of coupled Josephson junctions. This improvement is necessary for the realization of a functional and scalable quantum computer. The proposed architecture is within the reach of current experimental technology. Secondly, we investigate a simple scheme for generating the graph states via the improved architecture. Since the controlled-phase gate between arbitrary pairs of qubits can be implemented easily, we can generate any multi-qubit graph states corresponding to various shape graphs, which meet the expectations of various quantum information processing schemes. It is a simple, scalable and feasible scheme for the generation of various graph states based on the current-controlled superconducting charge qubit network.

Scalable Quantum Computing with Josephson Charge Qubits

J. Q. You, Jaw-Shen Tsai, Franco Nori

A goal of quantum information technology is to control the quantum state of a system, including its preparation, manipulation, and measurement. However, scalability to many qubits and controlled con-nectivity between any selected qubits are two of the major stumbling blocks to achieve quantum com-puting (QC). Here we propose an experimental method, using Josephson charge qubits, to efficiently solve these two central problems. The proposed QC architecture is scalable since any two charge qubits can be effectively coupled by an experimentally accessible inductance. More importantly, we formulate an efficient and realizable QC scheme that requires only one (instead of two or more) two-bit operation to implement conditional gates.

Fluxon-Based Generation of Graph States in Josephson Qubits

Toshiyuki Fujii, Masaru Fukunaga, Noriyuki Hatakenaka

Graph states are a special kind of multiparticle entangled state with great potential for applications in quantum information technologies, especially in measurement-based quantum computers. These states cause significant reductions of the number of qubits needed for a given computation, leading to shorter execution time. Here we propose a simple scheme for generating such graph states by using special gate operations, i.e., control-phase and swap gate operations, inherent in superconducting quantum nanocircuits.

Quantum information processing and multi-qubit entanglement with Josephson-junction charge qubits in a thermal cavity

Xu‐Bo Zou

We propose a scheme to implement the two-qubit quantum phase gate with Josephson-junction charge qubits in a thermal cavity. In this scheme, the photon-number-dependent parts in the time evolution operator are canceled at the special time. Thus the scheme is insensitive to the thermal field. We also demonstrate that the scheme can be used to generate maximally entangled state of many Josephson-junction charge qubits

Scalable quantum computer using superconducting charge qubits

Wen Yi Huo, Gui‐Lu Long

We present a scalable scheme for superconducting charge qubits with the assistance of one-dimensional superconducting transmission line resonator (STLR) playing the role of data bus. The coupling between qubit and data bus may be turned on and off by just controlling the gate voltage and externally applied flux of superconducting charge qubit. In our proposal, the entanglement between arbitrary two qubits and $W$ states of three qubits can be generated quickly and easily.
