Abstract

We discuss a proposal for the efficient generation of the maximally entangled atomic N-GHZ state in a spinor-1 condensate by driving internal state atomic Raman transitions using (classical) laser fields. We illustrate the dynamics in terms of a quantum Zeno subspace and identify the resultant atomic elastic collision in facilitating the deterministic entanglement creation. Our proposal can be readily implemented in several laboratories where ferromagnetic spinor condensates (of 87Rb atoms) are investigated.

Scheme for generating maximally two-mode entangled state in an S=1 antiferromagnetic Bose-Einstein condensation

We propose a scheme to generate maximally two-mode entangled state in a spinor-1 anti-ferromagnetic Bose-Einstein condensation. We reduce the three-level system into an effective two-level system via the quantum Zeno subspace created by exerting strong Raman coupling. We investigate the particle number evolution in the unreduced system to justify the existence of Zeno subspace and find that the effective system can be trusted and the entanglement production is reliable.

Quantum entanglement of many atoms in spinor Bose-Einstein condensates

Xu‐Bo Zou, K. Pahlke, Wolfgang M. Mathis

We present a theoretical analysis of the experimental scheme for creating maximally entangled states of many atoms in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates by driving single atom Raman transition [Li You, Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 030402 (2003)]. It is shown that, with the help of strong external laser pulses, the model proposed by You can be greatly simplified. Using this simplified interaction, an analytical expression is given for the entangled states between atoms with hyperfine spin $\ensuremath{-}1$ and 1. We also show how to generate the entangled state between atoms with hyperfine spin 0 and 1.

Quantum Entanglement of Many Particles in Spinor

Li-Xin Xia, Yiming Xie

We present a theoretical treatment of the proposal for creating maximally entangled states of many particles in spin-1 Bose–Einstein condensates (BECs) by applying a single atom Raman transition [You. L. (2003). Physical Review Letters 90, 030402]. It is shown that the three-mode model suggested by You can be further reduced to an efficient two-mode one by a simple method. We also suggest a scheme for generating the atom-atom continuous-variable entangled states in this system.

Fast generation of many-atom maximal entanglement in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates

GuangSi Meng, Huiming Xu, Song Yang +4 more

We propose a scheme for generating many-atom maximal entanglement states in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates. By applying a far-off-resonate blue-detuned linear-polarized laser to the condensates, the hyperfine level $F=1,m=0$ ground state and the hyperfine $F=0$ excited state are conveniently coupled. Such a configuration is more efficient and provides a fast implementation of the maximally entangled GHZ state, using only half of the time that is required in single-atom Raman-transition-based schemes [You, Phys. Rev. Lett. 90, 030402 (2003)].

Creating Maximally Entangled Atomic States in a Bose-Einstein Condensate

Lixing You

We propose a protocol to create maximally entangled pairs, triplets, quartiles, and other clusters of Bose-condensed atoms starting from a condensate in the Mott insulator state. The essential element is to drive single atom Raman transitions using laser pulses. Our scheme is simple, efficient, and can be readily applied to the recent experimental system as reported by M. Greiner 413, 44 (2002)].

We propose a scheme for generating many-atom maximal entanglement states in spin-1 Bose-Einstein condensates. By applying a far-off-resonate blue-detuned linear-polarized laser to the condensates, the hyperfine level F=1,m=0F=1,m=0F=1,m=0 ground state and the hyperfine F=0F=0F=0 excited state are conveniently coupled.
