A one-dimensional integrable model of fermions with multi-particle hopping

A model with both single-particle and multi-particle hopping of electrons on a one-dimensional 'triangular' lattice is formulated and solved exactly by Bethe ansatz. On the basis of the exact calculation of the asymptotic behaviour of correlation functions we find a transition between the normal state and a state with a tendency to 'superconductivity'. The latter state is confined to small densities of electrons up to a critical density rho c .

New integrable extension of the Hubbard chain with variable range hopping

Murakami, S, 村上修一, Shuichi Murakami

New integrable variant of the one-dimensional Hubbard model with variable-range correlated hopping is studied. The Hamiltonian is constructed by applying the quantum inverse scattering method on the infinite interval at zero density to the one-parameter deformation of the L-matrix of the Hubbard model. By construction, this model has Y(su(2))\\PhiY(su(2)) symmetry in the infinite chain limit. Multiparticle eigenstates of the model are investigated through this method. z E-mail:murakami@appi.t.u-tokyo.ac.jp 2 1 Introduction As a model of strongly correlated electrons, the Hubbard model has been attracting much interest in solid state physics. Especially, in one dimension, the model is exactly solvable [1] and its thermodynamic properties can be calculated out, which give a good testing ground for theories of strongly correlated electron systems. From the point of view of the integrability of the one-dimensional Hubbard model, there have been many works, including the pioneering work o...

Integrability and Coherence of Hopping between 1D Correlated Electron Systems

Frédéric Mila, Didier Poilblanc

We present numerical evidence that the hopping of electrons between chains described by the $t\ensuremath{-}J$ model is much more coherent in the integrable cases ( $J\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0$ and $J\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}2$) than in the nonintegrable ones. This effect is not related to the value of the exponent $\ensuremath{\alpha}$ which is restricted to the interval $[0,1/8]$ when $0\ensuremath{\le}J\ensuremath{\le}2$. We propose that enhanced coherence is characteristic of integrable systems and argue that it might be related to the level statistics.

We present numerical evidence that the hopping of electrons between chains described by the $t\ensuremath{-}J$ model is much more coherent in the integrable cases ( J=0J\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}0J=0 and J=2J\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}=\phantom{\rule{0ex}{0ex}}2J=2) than in the nonintegrable ones.
