Timeless Space is a Fundamental Arena of Quantum Processes

Abstract

In the special theory of relativity, space and time are intrinsically linked and united into one manifold called ‘space-time’. The three coordinates x1, x2 and x3 are spatial, the fourth coordinate x4 is temporal. Godel’s idea according to which x4 is spatial too is coherent. In the fourth coordinate x4 = ict, time t is only a component. Mathematical time t is only an element of x4 and represents physical time that is run of clocks in timeless cosmic space. Time t that we gain with clocks is a quantity which describes the numerical order of material changes. Clocks are reference systems for measuring frequency, speed and numerical order of material changes. Time is not part of space. Space itself is timeless. This insight introduces new perspectives in the interpretation of Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) experiment — subatomic particles move only into space and not into space-time, and are instantaneously connected through space which functions as an immediate information medium between them. Bohm’s approach introduces the idea that non-local correlations between subatomic particles are linked to the space-like action of quantum potential but is not time-symmetric. To interpret the time-reverse of a quantum process in a correct way (and thus also of the instantaneous communication between subatomic particles), a symmetry in time in quantum mechanics is needed, a symmetrized reformulation of Bohmian mechanics is suggested and its perspectives with regard to the arena of quantum processes are analyzed.

Three-dimensional space as a medium of quantum entanglement

Davide Fiscaletti, Amrit Šorli

Most physicists today still conceptualize time as a part of the physical space in which material objects move, although time has never been observed and measured as a part of the space. The concept of time here presented is that time measured with clocks is merely the numerical order of material change, i.e. motion in a three-dimensional space. In special relativity the Minkowskian four-dimensional space-time can be replaced with a three-dimensional space where time does not represent a fourth coordinate of space but must be considered merely as a mathematical quantity measuring the numerical order of material changes. By quantum entanglement the three-dimensional space is a medium of a direct information transfer between quantum particles. Numerical order of non-local correlations between subatomic particles in EPR-type experiments and other immediate quantum processes is zero in the sense that the three-dimensional space acts as an immediate information medium between them.

Nonlocality and the symmetrized quantum potential

Davide Fiscaletti, Amrit Šorli

Quantum nonlocality can be difficultly understood and explained starting from the idea that the spacetime manifold characteristic of special relativity is a fundamental entity: it is due to a quantum potential which is equivalent to a spacelike, instantaneous action between the particles in consideration. In virtue of the features of quantum potential, a new order must be introduced to understand quantum phenomena, in particular quantum nonlocality. One can say that in this new order subatomic particles are instantaneously connected through space, which functions as an immediate information medium between them. Since to interpret in a correct and appropriate way also the time reverse of a quantum process and thus also of the instantaneous communication between subatomic particles of a symmetry in time in quantum mechanics is needed, a symmetrized reformulation of bohmian mechanics is introduced and analyzed. © 2008 Physics Essays Publication. About Immediate Physical Phenomena and Space as a Direct Medium of Information

Davide Fiscaletti

For several physical elapsed clock run t for them to happen is zero. These events can be appropriately defined as immediate physical phenomena and support the view that, at a fundamental level, time exists only as a run of clocks in a timeless space. Immediate physical are carried directly by space which functions as a direct information medium. The perspective is opened that the quanta of space that build quantum space assume a crucial role as regards these phenomena.

A Timeless Interpretation of Quantum Mechanics: Superposition as Configurational Structure

Fiorito, Paolo

This paper proposes a timeless interpretation of quantum mechanics in which fundamental reality is configurational rather than temporal. What we perceive as the temporal evolution of a particle is reinterpreted as our sequential perspective on a static structure of spatial correlations. Quantum superposition reveals this nature: all possible spatial configurations coexist in a timeless reality, and only when we—bound by time—observe the system, do we project this multiplicity into a temporal sequence. When we measure a quantum system, we do not collapse a wave function but rather synchronize our clock-system with a specific section of the timeless structure. This interpretation connects naturally with existing timeless approaches such as the Page-Wootters mechanism and Wheeler-DeWitt equation, while offering a distinctive perspective on the nature of the wave function, measurement, and the emergence of time from correlations within an atemporal quantum reality.

Perspectives about Quantum Mechanics in a Model of a Three-Dimensional Quantum Vacuum Where Time is a Mathematical Dimension

Davide Fiscaletti, Amrit Šorli

A model of a three-dimensional quantum vacuum as a fundamental arena is introduced where time measured with clocks is only a mathematical parameter, namely the numerical order of changes and the most fundamental physical properties are the energy density and statereduction (RS) processes (of creation-annihilation of quantum particles). This model introduces interesting perspectives in the interpretation of quantum mechanics and has the merit to see the quantum behaviour of matter and gravity as two different aspects of the same source.

Reimagining Reality: Consciousness, External Energy, and the Space-Time Quantum as the Foundation of Physics

Pushpak N. Bhandari, Nandan M Bhandari

This paper introduces a theoretical framework that bridges the conceptual divide between quantum mechanics and relativity by proposing a fundamental building block of the universe: the “Space-Time* quantum.” The theory posits that every object possesses an inherent property, Time* — defined as the reciprocal of its intrinsic frequency. The Space-Time* quantum is a composite entity, consisting of a timeless space energy and a kinetic Time* energy. This framework provides a new perspective on wave-particle duality, the double-slit experiment, and quantum entanglement. It re-examines the principles of Special Relativity, offering a conceptual and visual explanation of phenomena such as time dilation and length contraction as a consequence of changes in the Space-Time quanta. The theory also provides an alternative view on the origin of the universe and the nature of gravity, suggesting that gravitational effects arise from an energy deficiency rather than a curvature of spacetime. This paper establishes a conceptual foundation for further mathematical development to test and validate these new insights.
