Abstract

We define atomic odd-even coherent states as linear superposition states of the atomic coherent states and investigate some mathematical properties of theirs. We also study their squeezing properties with respect to atomic collective dipole phase quadrature operators in detail and obtain some peculiar conclusions.

Squeezing Properties of Three-Level Atomic Collective Dipole Phase Quadrature Operators with Respect to Three-Level Atomic Coherent State

Liu Yuxi

We add some useful formulations except for Ref. We mainly discuss two extreme cases concerning parameter and and obtain some interesting conclusions.

Even and odd phase coherent states for Hermitian phase operator theory

Le‐Man Kuang, Jiu-Yun Zhu

Even and odd phase coherent states associated with the Hermetian phase operator theory are introduced in terms of the creation operation of the phase quanta defined in a finite-dimensional phase state space. Some mathematical and physical properties of these quantum states are studied in some detail. It is shown that the even phase coherent states together with the odd ones build an overcomplete Hilbert space. Even and odd coherent-state formalism of the Pegg - Barnett phase operator is given in terms of the projection operator in the even and odd phase coherent-state space. The number - phase uncertainty relation is investigated for these quantum states. It is shown that even and odd phase coherent states are not minimum uncertainty and intelligent states for the number and phase operators.

Nonclassical Properties of Even and Odd Semi-Coherent States

H. H. Salah

Even and odd semi-coherent states have been introduced. Some of the nonclasscial properties of the states are studied in terms of the quadrature squeezing as well as sub-Poissonian photon statistics. The Husimi-Kano Q-function and the phase distribution in the framework of Pegg and Barnett formalism, are also discussed.

Properties of Phase and Their Evolutions in Damped Odd and Even Coherent States

Dong Chuan

The properties of measured phase operators in damped odd and even coherent states have been studied. The fluctuations associated with measured phase and their squeezing in these states are investigated. The phase properties in damped superposition coherent states are considered too with the help of measured phase operators. These fluctuations and their squeezing are affected by damping and evolve with time elapsing.

Quantum Properties of Two-Mode Squeezed Even and Odd Coherent States

Jing Zhang, Wei Wu, Meng Shao-ying

Two new types of quantum states are constructed by applying the operator s (ξ) = exp (ξ* ab −ξ a † b † ) on the two-mode even and odd coherent states. The mathematical and quantum statistical properties of such states are investigated. Various nonclassical features of these states, such as squeezing properties, the inter-mode photon bunching, and the violation of Cauchy–Schwarz inequality, are discussed. The Wigner function in these states are studied in detail.
