A physical description must preserve distinguishable occurrences, the information needed to compare them, and records available to later interactions. We examine what these requirements force within Recognition Science, keeping the premises of each implication explicit. Finite record constructions give arithmetic with a ledger of logical commitments. A specified comparison apparatus, continuous reporting and reference calibration fix the reciprocal cost, while a positive additive reading and a first costly join force golden scaling. A linking requirement selects three dimensions within the stated spherical spatial class; a complete one-bit cyclic pass through three binary coordinates then has minimum length eight. Factorization, order and calibration determine the corresponding recognition weight. In a finite quantum carrier, preservation of calibrated sharp-decision optima forces exact state recovery, including correlations with a retained reference. We also identify what these mathematical results require of a physical realization: acquisition of the supplier state, complete resource accounting, attachment of controller and record dynamics, turnoff, and record retention. Ethical and economic effects act on the same physical bond ledger. The experiential interpretation requires a further admissibility law and a distinct subject-composition condition. The result is a connected account of forced structure and its physical premises, with explicit boundaries between a uniqueness theorem, a constructed representation and an enacted process.

What physical structure makes an acting, remembering system a person, and what makes its later experience belong to the same subject? Recognition Science connects this question to retained comparisons and the relationships an action changes. We derive exact constraints on that connection. A fixed reversible update stores and rereads a finite history; its main-state trajectory through one tape cycle determines the entire encoded initial state. Linearity excludes exact readout of every encoded pure state when the apparatus must also leave it unchanged and uncorrelated with the record. Exact universal duplication of a native signal is incompatible with linear evolution, while reversible transfer is possible. Participant consent survives grouping of subjects precisely when authorship is constant within each group. A unique fixed-total ledger extension retains native account updates and the external bond’s participant effects. At a common native operand product, endpoint pulse-energy changes equal the corresponding scaled cost and signed-harm changes. These results constrain physical history, transfer and authority. Identifying that history with an experiencing subject still requires an occurrence-level experiential identification and a sound and complete law of subject composition. We state those obligations on the same physical objects.
Recognition Science describes one ledger of recognition events, yet experience arrives from inside separate perspectives. We ask what in the ledger's own dynamics makes a perspective, for one explicit operation: the native recognition step, in which two eight-state clock channels exchange occupation, post a three-component current and move an integer loop flux. Boundaries. For the algebra of native events, every closed invariant subspace of histories is a join of atoms, the atoms are exact superselection sectors with no environment involved, and the atoms an actual history occupies are fixed at its beginning. Neither a symmetric rule nor an element of that algebra selects among them, although a larger read algebra crosses these walls. Participants. Inside a boundary the postings select. Exactly a four-dimensional subspace of the 64-dimensional cell never acquires neutral weight under any record: two persistent loop currents and an occupation oscillation. Three postings expose every other state, and the selected states are exactly those that pass the eight-tick window on the loop edge with certainty. On every network of contacts in its round order the kept states obey a parity law, the kept projection commutes with every round word, so composition creates no kept weight, and participation on a connected network is joint. Other timings act through one token mechanism, which decides births, fair and gated participation, random timing and what a participant's own record reads of its world. Records. A participant's own record decides its status; the conditional present purifies; its long-run motion is a classical chain that is reversible exactly on the participant classes and carries a stationary circulation elsewhere. Every record reads each site only within the same twelve directions, and composites of participants add only crossed products of their members' reads. What is supplied. The book locates every stated premise and identification: the step and its loop-edge routing, the window's account and tick, the genesis state, contact locality, orientation and posting order, the gate and the independence of attempts, the relay's extra terms, least-cost booking of postings, the capture apparatus, the photon dictionary, the present and the experiential reading of a sure subject. On the ledger's torus, locality, symmetry and the existence of a contact place the contacts on nearest-neighbour pairs, and the native posting is the product of eighth-turns of the relay's photon-free terms. It gives the case for the experiential reading and states every open problem exactly. Full manuscript, 402 pages. Preliminary manuscript shared for discussion. It has not been peer reviewed.
A physical identification requires a domain of experiments, a realization, and an observation that distinguishes competing mechanisms. We construct these for the δ framework. Within finite causal quantum experiments, computable Choi data are equivalent to finite arithmetic programs producing valid instrument approximations at every requested accuracy. A separate pointer reader preserves the quantum posterior and supports adaptive composition. For the native two-atom census, the actual join update and common-mode retention select golden scaling and a signed contraction. Coherent return selects its minimal conserving completion; an independently calibrated spectral band then selects its constant interaction. A bright-mode construction and a stable short-time calibration procedure supply an explicit realization and uncertainty budget; measured duration and frequency supply the dimensional units. We derive a general endpoint identity between stored record energy and comparison imbalance, and distinguish the monotone fresh-record trajectory from coherent recurrence. The logical-to-physical bridge also has a sharp boundary: an explicit instance of the proposed completion generator has no effective value-reflecting physical reader or numerical comparison receipt. Sequence completion requires precisely the corresponding halting-oracle resource, not an unexplained scalar cost. This obstructs operational completion while leaving purely proof-language transport distinct. Native implementations of identical logical strength nevertheless carry different physical receipts. Joint covariance and the exact endpoint law state the valid relationship between those quantities. Finally, calibrated return and three-outcome tests distinguish the relevant phase and recording alternatives, with quantitative error bounds. First public preprint release, version 1.0. A Kernel-Role Determinacy Theorem for Record Fixation, Fixed-Domain Quotients, and Boundary-Trace Normal Form This paper specializes the AASC kernel to the construction and use of quantum measurement records. Its central question is not initially how outcomes are produced, whether a wavefunction collapses, or which interpretation of quantum theory is correct. It asks what must be fixed for a measurement record to function as the same determinate physical and evidential object across retention, prospective use, deliberation, comparison, and report. For any non-degenerate determinate physical object, state, carrier, transformation, record, comparison, or endpoint, the paper takes the governing kernel to be: NDObj(x) ⇒ K(x) = (Adm, Stand, Ref, Irr). Admissibility, standing, reference, and irreversibility are therefore treated as necessary role conditions of determinate record use, not as an optional interpretive overlay added to an otherwise complete physical description. Measurement-record determinacy The manuscript constructs a fixed-domain measurement-record target in which a record must preserve: reference to the same construction token; standing-bearing evidential eligibility; admissible reuse; original act-time qualification; lawful redescription; retained and prospective record use; deliberative and comparative use; reportability and downstream inheritance. The resulting assignment space is quotiented by equivalence of standing-bearing measurement-record content. A rival quotient claiming exactly the same content collapses to the canonical measurement-record quotient. Representational differences that preserve the complete role content are treated as skin; differences affecting record identity, evidential ordering, admissibility, continuation, or downstream use remain physically relevant. Physically non-selective quantum regimes The paper then studies a physically non-selective quantum regime containing unitary branching, entanglement, decoherence, branch-local records, and stable local reports. The central result is conditional and target-specific: The bare unitary-entangling-decohering package can support multiple stable branch-local records without supplying a unique standing evidential record for the fixed construction-relative target. This is not a claim that branch-local records are unreal, unstable, or physically useless. It is a distinction between: physical occurrence of branch-local record structures; local branch-relative reportability; evidential role fixation for a record reused as the same standing object across the measurement practice. The paper shows that non-selective structures may agree on branch weights, density content, decoherence, correlations, instrument sums, channel closure, effect weights, projector orthogonality, and repeatability without selecting one fine record as the standing evidential record. Fixed-domain quotient and fixation commutation The theorem ladder establishes: fixed-domain assignment-space forcing; exact quotient construction for standing-bearing record content; same-scope equivalence collapse; fixation commutation under admissible transformation; inheritance of the original qualification requirement; persistence-bearing reuse; asymmetry exhaustion; anti-weakening; selector exhaustion. If evidential ordering varies across admissible assignments while the target requires one fixed-domain ordering, the ordering is not defined on that scope merely because numerical values or branch-local reports happen to coincide. The paper therefore treats measurement-record fixation as prior to the theory-level evidential reuse that depends on it. Boundary-trace normal form After internal and provenance/indexical routes have been exhausted, the residual same-domain route is a singleton stable boundary trace. Such a trace is not collapse dynamics, hidden-variable selection, or a new physical mechanism. It is an admissibility-preserving role anchor that can fix a record-bearing assignment only when its channel, incidence, transport law, original authority, and singleton-positive condition are independently warranted. The result distinguishes: sound partial selection from complete role fixation; unique trace value from unique original occupant; class-valued record fixation from raw-token fixation; later discovery of an original qualification from retroactive repair; physical record occurrence from standing evidential identity. Finite quantum specialization The paper occupies the abstract structure with an explicit finite two-branch quantum measurement domain containing: two outcomes; two fine records and one merged record; denominator-two branch weights; a balanced integer-amplitude state; density-table realization; selective and non-selective instrument maps; environment-record maps; projective branch maps; complementary effects; zero-product projectors; repeatability operations. On the declared balanced witness, amplitude weights, density weights, branch-map traces, effect weights, pointer records, instrument records, environment records, and channel records agree on the same branch architecture. Selective surfaces preserve the fine-record distinction. Non-selective surfaces agree only on the merged record. The fine records therefore remain separated, while the declared non-selective surfaces supply no singleton fine-record selector. The finite selector-boundary theorem eliminates the disjunction of candidate hidden selectors across the state, instrument, environment, channel, effect, and repeatability surfaces. The resulting diagnosis is precise: the missing structure is admissible fine-record role fixation, not further branch production, weighting, decoherence, stabilization, or repeatability. Scope and non-claims The manuscript establishes a finite, conditional, manuscript-facing theorem. It does not claim: to derive Hilbert-space quantum mechanics; to derive general POVM theory; to derive full projection-valued-measure theory; to reconstruct the full operator algebra; to provide a general Kraus representation theorem; to reconstruct complete positivity; to derive the continuum Born rule; to derive universal physical decoherence theory; to introduce a new collapse dynamics; to prove that no physical collapse process occurs in nature; to prove physical branch selection; to establish interpretive truth; to classify every possible physical measurement mechanism. The absence of a hidden selector on the declared finite non-selective surfaces is therefore not a theorem that no physical collapse or selection process can occur elsewhere. It is the finite theorem that those declared surfaces do not themselves supply the required fine-record selector. Relation to quantum interpretations The result does not deny the practical success of quantum theory, decoherence, branch-relative reporting, instrumental updates, or decision-theoretic methods. A practice aimed only at prediction, branch-local reporting, or instrumental updating may be a different target from the construction-relative record use studied here. If a theory claims to underwrite retained, prospective, deliberative, and evidential reuse of the same record-bearing construction token, it must preserve the relevant kernel roles and admit a standing-bearing fixation regime. Bare Everettian dynamics, without additional dynamics, ontological privileging, or admissible restriction to one constructional class, supplies no fine-record selector on the declared target. A strategy that preserves non-selective physics while restricting admissible record-fixation assignments belongs to a restriction-to-one-constructional-class route. Instrumentalist and QBist strategies instead reduce or redirect the target explanatory burden. Role in the AASC programme This paper provides the record-fixation layer of the AASC Quantum Determinacy Pair. Its companion Bell-scope work addresses the compatibility and no-signaling side of quantum witness determinacy. Together, the pair treats quantum records and witnesses as kernel-governed standing structures rather than as automatically determinate physical occurrences. The paper’s principal contribution is to identify the first failure point in a physically non-selective measurement regime: The initial problem is not necessarily the production of branch-local outcomes. It is the admissible fixation of the record role through which outcomes are retained, reported, remembered, compared, and used as evidence. The public Lean 4 formalization is synchronized with the finite measurement-boundary release v0.9.1 and provides the finite artifact for the declared effect, projector, compatibility, closed-stack, boundary-certificate, and audit layers. Can distinct subjects belong to one experiencing whole? Within Recognition Science’s shared physical architecture, we derive an exact criterion: every finite collection of felt occurrences belongs jointly to a subject if and only if the all-occurrences profile lies in the closure of existing subjects’ profiles. For a nonempty felt domain, closedness yields an existing whole; nested membership preserves distinct participants. The physical derivations establish matter–photon correlation under the complete atomic source, a fixed observable with an absolute correlation margin, and all-time record retention under a specified holding interaction. Signed operators give exact coherent code capture. A complete finite receiving Hamiltonian captures coherent input with error at most C_v/√N for N bank cells and any normalized initial stock, while retaining the native stock clock and every finite passive reference. A normalized product partner evolving under its independent native clock preserves the same bound. With injectively matched contacts covering the bank, the full receiving and contact Hamiltonian also gives a bank-size-independent constant, including coherent inputs and every finite passive reference. These results assume supplied stock and contacts. The remaining connections are physical realization and completeness, recognition’s experiential identity, actual finite subject composition, and realization of the whole-subject limit. These conditions distinguish the positive account from its unfinished universal derivation. Physical Sources, Finite Detectors, Persistent Records, and Actual Events This paper develops a unified account of quantum measurement under the Admissibility and Standing Constraint (AASC) framework, connecting constructed physical sources, quantum instruments, material amplification, finite record retention, event probabilities, and the actuality of measurement outcomes. The paper distinguishes three separate objects: a complete quantum instrument containing all outcome operations, including unresolved and failed outcomes; a material record carried by a physical system whose acquisition and retention can be analyzed; an actual history describing which occurrences belong to one original experimental run. A complete instrument and a persistent material record can be constructed without assuming that linear quantum dynamics alone selects one globally definite original-run history. Conversely, the admission of an actual event does not by itself determine its probability law or conditional quantum state. The physical construction contains two complementary measurement targets: a regulated interacting gauge–Higgs–fermion source with its full source Hamiltonian retained during finite receiver pulses; an explicitly parameterized six-mode cosine circuit with source and pump interfaces, losses, distinguishable outputs, a two-polarization intrinsic-spin receiver, and a finite energy-resolving thermal amplifier. The material-registration chain includes source-code loading, driven conversion, output registration, pump-displacement removal, transfer to an intrinsic material spin, finite Gibbs-collision amplification, endpoint reading, and quiet record retention. Electronic display labels, material flags, missed counts, dark displays, blanks, and unreadable outcomes remain distinct and are retained in the joint error ledger. The paper establishes: informative bounded receivers on an interacting quantum source; finite-pulse calibration with the complete source Hamiltonian retained; a complete monitored detector model; finite preparation and amplification bounds; coherent composition of instruments and records; adaptive record composition; local-instrument compatibility; calibrated affine probability uniqueness; sharp coherent calibration limits; sequential probability laws and compatible conditional states; explicit actual-history requirements. A finite Fourier residual certificate bounds the complete monitored detector instrument over its full 35.587ms interval by 0.063241 in restricted diamond norm. Exact interval arithmetic gives seeded amplifier endpoint fidelity greater than 0.9999235242 after 1,024 finite collisions, together with an explicit conditional survival bound for a subsequent 100ms quiet hold. The probability analysis shows that positivity, density-operator dependence, affinity under classical mixtures, and calibration fix the trace probability rule for the declared readout. Approximate sector calibration alone permits coherent deviations of order the square root of the calibration error; stronger linear bounds require additional structure. The paper’s central measurement-theoretic conclusion is deliberately separated from its successful detector construction. A complete instrument admits an exclusive-history completion, but linear quantum dynamics alone does not select one such history. Source-specific preparation, reader analysis, and a bounded counting-law completion supply the additional physical input required to select an actual history. The resulting framework substantially develops the material and probabilistic parts of quantum measurement while isolating apparatus errors, actual-history law, and event-selection assumptions as explicit obligations. The work does not claim to solve every interpretation of the measurement problem, derive a universal collapse law, establish unrestricted detector accuracy, or identify a finite calibration certificate with an experimental calibration.
