The Road to Quantum Artificial Intelligence

Kyriakos Sgarbas

This paper overviews the basic principles and recent advances in the emerging field of Quantum Computation (QC), highlighting its potential application to Artificial Intelligence (AI). The paper provides a very brief introduction to basic QC issues like quantum registers, quantum gates and quantum algorithms and then it presents references, ideas and research guidelines on how QC can be used to deal with some basic AI problems, such as search and pattern matching, as soon as quantum computers become widely available.

Applications of Quantum Artificial Intelligence

Dipti Chauhan, Pragya Ranka, Pritika Bahad +1 more

Quantum Artificial Intelligence is an exciting new area, which integrates quantum computing with artificial intelligence (AI) in order to produce increasingly sophisticated and effective computational methods, models, and systems. The goal is to use quantum mechanics properties like superposition and entanglement to boost AI's computational power and speed. Quantum computers use quantum bits (qubits) to encode information, in contrast to classical computers, which run on binary digits (bits). Quantum computers can perform some computations faster than classical computers because qubits can exist in multiple states simultaneously. In order to achieve superior computational power in the field of artificial intelligence, this article emphasizes the importance of utilizing quantum mechanical principles. It also explores the potential uses of quantum AI, including machine learning, data analysis, and optimization issues. It deals with the state of art of semiconductors in Quantum computing.

Driving Transformative Technology Trends With Quantum-Based Artificial Intelligence Applications

Alex Khang

The potential of quantum computing has opened up new possibilities for cutting-edge technologies (CET) and artificial intelligence (AI) in the era of digital economy (DE). This chapter explores the transformative applications of qubits, the fundamental units of quantum computing, and its uses with AI. Qubits, which use the principles of superposition and entanglement, offer unparalleled computational power and promise to revolutionize the way we approach complex problem-solving and data analysis. Today quantum-based AI techniques show promise across diverse domains, from drug discovery and financial modeling to natural language processing. These applications stand to redefine the boundaries of AI performance. Also, this chapter provides information about core principles of qubits and quantum computing, then highlighting their capacity to represent and manipulate vast amounts of information simultaneously. It also explains how qubits can potentially solve problems that were considered important by classical computers, including optimization tasks, cryptographic challenges, and data analysis.
