Quantum Implementation Circuits of Quantum Signal Representation and Type Conversion

Hai-Sheng Li, Ping Fan, Haiying Xia +2 more

Quantum signal processing offers a possible solution to store and process massive signals efficiently. As the foundation of quantum signal processing, quantum signal representation (QSR) that stores color information using basis states, is convenient to retrieve accurately signals from quantum systems. But the existing QSRs are only focus on integer signals (i.e., images) and are difficult to be directly operated by quantum Fourier transform (QFT) and quantum wavelet transform (QWT). Thus, we propose four models of QSR for integer, real, and complex signals. Furthermore, we design quantum implementation circuits of type conversions of QSR with complexity$O$(1). Type conversions of QSR are illustrated by general processes of QFT and Haar QWT, and demonstrate that the proposed QSRs are suitable for QFT and QWT.

Poisson survival model of quantum entanglement signaling network and fidelity analysis

Min Nie, Zhang Lin, Liu Xiaohui

Quantum signaling states have decoherence because of the environment during the transmission. It causes signaling damage and thus will have impact on building high survivability quantum entanglement signaling network. In order to study the influence deeply, Poisson damage model of quantum signaling network is established. First, disaster magnitude is defined base on signaling fidelity. Second, average damage signaling quantum bits and survival function of quantum signaling network is put forward by basic quantum theory. At last, research on the signaling damage repair strategy and simulation is analyzed. Simulation results show that increasing of disaster magnitude will greatly reduce the signaling network survivability. However, increasing the nodes and controlling signaling damage caps may improve survivability. The repair strategy which costs small number of cycles can rapidly increase the signaling fidelity from 0.6 to 0.9 and the survival function of the signaling network from 0.4 to 0.9.

Quantum Interpretation of Signal’s Uncertainty Principle

Jianping Li

The uncertainty principle of signal is proved according to the uncertainty principle of quantum mechanics, and is further interpreted by quantum mechanics. The signal can be considered as a kind of the quasi quantum system with wave-particle dualism.Because of the wave-particle dualism of the signal, time and frequency can not be measured at the same time. The frequency operator(FO) of signal is defined in this study, and it can be widely used in signal theory and, especially in wavelet research. The quantum interpretation for the signal explains the essence of the signal and provides the theory support for applying the framework of quantum mechanics to the signal processing.
