Generalized Bosons and Coherent States

E. Celeghini, Mario Rasetti

The characteristic features of Bose-Einstein quantum statistics are derived resorting to the notion of coproduct associated with any Lie-Hopf structure and to generalized coherent states. It is shown that, while Boltzmann particles are well described by coherent states of $h\left(1\right)$, orthodox bosons require the ${D}_{1/2}^{\left(+\right)}$ representation of SU(1,1). A whole class of inequivalent generalized bosons is then defined by multimode coherent states of $\stackrel{\ifmmode \tilde{}\else \~{}\fi{}}{\mathrm{SU}}\left(1,1\right)$. Known experimental results are in agreement with our generalizations---as well as with the Bose hypothesis---but experiments with discrete spectra, such as the recent ones on Bose condensation, could discriminate among all these possibilities.

On the Multiboson Coherent State in Deformed Boson Scheme

Atsushi Kuriyama, Constança Providência, João da Providência +2 more

The treatment for the multiboson coherent state is extended for the completeness of the formulation. The basic idea for the extension is presented in terms of expanding the boson space. The MYT boson mapping plays a central role. The resultant multiboson coherent state includes the state obtained in our previous treatment and the form suggests various multiboson coherent states are possible in the deformed boson scheme. 1 typeset using PTPTEX.sty <ver.1.0>Recently, the present authors published four papers 1), 2), 3) concerning the deformed boson scheme including conventional q-deformation in time-dependent variational method. Description of anharmonic effects with generalized coherent states

A. Kuriyama, Masatoshi Yamamura, Constança Providência +2 more

The Marumori–Yamamura–Tokunga boson expansion is used to describe multiboson processes. The reliability of the time evolution predicted by generalized coherent states has been investigated numerically by comparing its dynamics with the exact one. A link between the generalized coherent states and deformed bosons is established.
