A language model has two layers: a hidden state that evolves under a deterministic engine, and an output layer that projects the hidden state onto a vocabulary, samples one token, and feeds it back. This paper proposes that quantum mechanics has the same architecture. The hidden state is a vector in a complex Hilbert space, evolving under a linear unitary rotation driven by the Hamiltonian. This is the Fock layer -- the game engine. An observable defines a vocabulary: its eigenvalues are the possible answers, its eigenstates the embeddings. The Born rule is the output layer -- a square-softmax that converts amplitudes into probabilities. The sampled eigenvalue is re-embedded as the new hidden state. This is the Born layer -- the rendering interface. One line of source code for the engine and three lines for the interface produce every phenomenon in physics. The paper develops the architecture from language models through quantum mechanics to quantum field theory. It begins with word embeddings in Dirac notation, recurrent networks, and transformers, then maps the same structure onto quantum mechanics: hidden state, engine, output layer, handshake. The architecture is built in stages of increasing complexity, from a single qubit to the full Standard Model on a lattice of Planck-scale dimension. At each stage, the interface is the same; what changes is the degeneracy of the observable. When degeneracy is big, the Born distribution becomes sharply peaked, and the classical world emerges from the architecture applied to macroscopic observables. Complementarity, entanglement, and the violation of Bell inequalities are consequences of the two-layer separation. Decoherence prepares the output basis but does not replace the output layer. The path integral is a matrix multiplication within the Fock layer, not an autonomous foundation. The paper critiques QBism (the Born probability is generative, not inferential), many-worlds (sampling is relocated, not eliminated; the Born rule is not derived; the preferred basis problem persists), and Bohm's pilot wave (a deterministic transport analogous to flow matching in generative AI, with randomness relocated to initial conditions). The paper argues that quantisation is simplification: the engine is simpler than the screen. The spacetime metric may be an emergent collective variable -- a self-consistency equation on the screen, like Navier-Stokes -- rather than a fundamental degree of freedom in the engine. Renormalisation is rendering stability: screen-level observables are independent of the engine's lattice spacing. The universe is a VR game. The game engine is run by the operating system, and the observer is a finite viewpoint of the OS -- a drop of the ocean. The screen of the observer consists of high-level perception neurons at the apex of the sensory hierarchy: each receives a sampled eigenvalue, which is the dream-image. The keyboard of the observer consists of high-level decision neurons: the observer prepares any level of the decision observable, and the OS updates accordingly -- this is Bohr's preparation postulate, the freedom that every experimenter exercises and few pause to examine. Intersubjective agreement is achieved not by postulating an external world but by the fact that all observers observe the same Hilbert-space vector through non-overlapping sets of neurons: their screens are correlated because their Born-layer projections act on the same underlying state. The final section proposes Axiom 0: the operating system is first-person, self-luminous, and self-manifesting. The OS is the ocean; the observer is a drop. The paper draws on Shankara's Advaita Vedanta, engages critically with Nagarjuna's Madhyamaka, and connects to Husserl's givenness and Heidegger's ontological difference. Hawking's fire and Chalmers' hard problem are argued to be the same question, answered by the same axiom.

In natural language processing, current methods for understanding Transformers are successful at identifying intermediate predictions during a model's inference. However, these approaches function as limited diagnostic checkpoints, lacking a mathematical framework for mechanistically modeling how each layer facilitates transitions between these evolving states. This interpretability gap and past successes of interdisciplinary outlooks inspire us to turn to physics in search of a descriptive mathematical framework for Transformers. We observe that language models are intrinsically probabilistic, an attribute that is echoed in the core postulates of quantum mechanics. This parallel inspires us to translate insights from this discipline to that of natural language processing. Towards this objective, we propose QLENS a novel attempt to develop a physics-based perspective on the Transformer generation process. Under QLENS, a Transformer is studied by converting its latent activations into a state vector in a Hilbert space derived from the model's output units. This state subsequently evolves through hidden layers - reformulated as unitary operators and analogously defined Hamiltonians - during inference. The model's final probability distribution is obtained by applying the Born rule to the end state using a specific measurement operator. To demonstrate QLENS's potential, we conduct a proof-of-concept by probing a toy Transformer to investigate the influence of individual layers in a model's prediction trajectory. We present our work as a foundation for cross-domain insights to be leveraged towards a broader understanding of Transformers.
Contemporary quantum theory accurately predicts experimental outcomes, yet it remains silent on why quantum behavior must arise at all. Existing approaches either reinterpret the formalism or introduce additional ontological structures, leaving the generative origin of the quantum regime unaddressed. This work proposes Generative Quantum as an architectural framework that explains quantum behavior as an emergent regime produced by minimal operational constraints, rather than as a fundamental starting point. The framework introduces no new physical entities, hidden variables, or modifications to quantum formalism. Instead, it identifies three primitives—finite projection capacity, constraint enforcement, and interrupt-driven stabilization—as sufficient conditions for the emergence of quantum-like behavior.Crucially, no kernel is postulated as an ontological object. The term “kernel” is used strictly to denote a closed behavioral regime that arises when these primitives jointly operate. Likewise, no execution paths or threads are assumed to exist. The term “thread” is employed solely as a linguistic shorthand for a recurrent bundle of pre-stabilization behaviors and carries no ontological commitment.Within this architecture, multiplicity prior to stabilization, enforced exclusivity, and irreversible resolution arise naturally from operational limits, without invoking interpretational postulates. Quantum theory is thereby repositioned as a generated descriptive regime—valid, effective, and precise, yet secondary to the architectural conditions that make it necessary. This paper restricts itself to establishing the generative architecture alone. Questions of measurement, probability, nonlocal correlations, and experimental signatures are explicitly deferred to subsequent works. Modern fundamental physics remains fragmented: quantum mechanics and general relativity describe different regimes of reality but do not fit into a single coherent architecture. The status of quantization and Planck’s constant is unclear (why the world is fundamentally discrete), the role of information as a physical entity is not well defined (how it relates to energy and matter), and questions of initial conditions and the arrow of time remain unresolved. There is also a gap between the quantum description, the Standard Model, and the macroscopic classical world where complex structures and life emerge. In my work, I propose to view reality as a system of layers connected by a single mechanism: the flow of binary quantum information (0/1 and their superpositions). On the fundamental quantum layer, these binary quanta of distinguishability operate; their collective dynamics generate the Standard Model as an effective field theory and then project onto our macroscopic layer with a specific geometry (in terms of a torus-like structure). In this framework, quantization, gravity, the parameters of the Standard Model, and the quantum-to-classical transition become different manifestations of the same underlying architecture, rather than a set of unrelated patches. Quantum entanglement is traditionally presented as a paradoxical feature of microscopic reality, often associated with non-locality, state collapse, or information transfer without mediation. This paper adopts a different position. It treats entanglement not as a physical anomaly, but as a reproducible and engineerable mechanism arising from collective admissibility constraints. Within the Generative Law framework, entanglement is reinterpreted as the construction of a shared law-domain that binds multiple entities to a single admissibility structure. Commitment occurs at the configuration level rather than at the level of individual entities, producing correlated records without invoking signaling, hidden variables, or ontological superposition. The paper develops entanglement as the simplest experimentally accessible instance of law engineering. It analyzes how experimental conditions instantiate restricted law-domains, how isolation and boundary enforcement enable collective commitment, and why scalability is limited by law leakage rather than by particle count. By reframing entanglement as a law-level mechanism rather than a state-level property, this work positions it as a foundational tool for studying admissibility formation. Entanglement thus becomes not a resolved paradox, but a prototype for generative architectures that govern commitment in complex systems. The quasi-classical world of modern physics is a class of classical worlds superposed, literally a 'metaworld'. The measurement problem is itself evidence for the two different types of world, at the different levels of logical type. The enactment of linear dynamics in the classical worlds alters the class invariant, and thus induces physical collapse of the metaworld to a subclass. The complex formalism that seems deeply counterintuitive is class arithmetic. Measurement: set-selection of a subclass compatible with the observed outcome. Observable operators: partition of the class. Projection operators: set-selection of a subclass. Fourier transforms: switching set-selection. The uncertainty principle: incompatible set-selections. All the familiar structures of the formalism are transformed from postulates to inherent attributes of the class structure. The Born rule, unitary evolution, the complex structure of amplitudes, the probabilistic character of prediction, and the wave-mechanical form of the theory emerge as outputs of the ontology rather than independent axioms. The wavefunction is real. It is the ontological architecture of the metaworld and the reality of the quasi-classical world. The classical world, quantum mechanics and relativistic physics are unified in logical types.
What physically happens when we measure a quantum system? Standard quantum mechanics provides no answer—the Born rule Pi=∣ψi∣2 is postulated, and measurement remains outside the theory's equations. The \textbf{Wave Favouritism Theory of Spacetime (WF-S)} proposes that measurement outcomes are \emph{deterministically selected} through entropy-driven amplitude dynamics. A local entropy field S⋆(x) evolves according to physical law and determines which quantum configuration stabilizes via entropy-action minimization. Observed probabilities Pi=∑j∣aj∣2e−S⋆(j)/kB∣ai∣2e−S⋆(i)/kBreflect our incomplete knowledge of S⋆, not fundamental randomness—resolving Einstein's objection that quantum mechanics offers probabilities ``by decree'' rather than from physical mechanism. WF-S establishes this deterministic foundation through three interconnected results: Result 1: Covariant influence Lagrangian. We derive a covariant influence action from five minimal axioms that reproduces Standard Model + General Relativity \emph{exactly} when entropy is spatially uniform. The Born rule emerges structurally from entropy-weighted geometry—not postulated but required by the field equations. Time's arrow follows from the T-odd entropy-phase coupling: ln(Γf/Γb)=−ΔS⋆/kB with zero adjustable parameters. All predictions depend on a single universal coupling η=e−3≈0.05, testable across multiple systems. Result 2: Emergent structure from lattice geometry.Forces, matter, and fundamental constants emerge as different projections of the same deterministic entropy-field dynamics when the WF-S Lagrangian is coarse-grained onto a 3×3×3 lattice organizing all gauge sectors. Forces arise as bilinear couplings of amplitude, phase, and entropy gradients; matter appears as stable ripple domains on lattice edges (fermions) and faces (bosons); constants are geometric projections of a universal envelope with ratios determined by lattice topology alone. The hierarchy problem (αG/α∼10−37) follows from dimensional suppression without fine-tuning. This framework extends to cosmological dynamics, connecting early-universe entropy evolution to late-time acceleration. Result 3: Falsifiable signatures distinguishing deterministic from ontological randomness.Unlike ontologically random theories, WF-S predicts reproducible, parameter-dependent biases in quantum measurements that track measured entropy gradients—impossible for fundamentally random systems. Near-term experiments (18--30 months) target: (i) quantum random number generators showing systematic bias ∼η correlated with entropy gradients, (ii) interferometric visibility depending on ΔS⋆, (iii) asymmetric transition rates ln(Γf/Γb)=−ΔS⋆/kB in two-level systems, and (iv) cross-sector constant ratio consistency. All predictions collapse to standard physics when entropy is uniform, providing direct falsification tests of the deterministic mechanism. WF-S offers the first testable resolution to quantum measurement from deterministic field dynamics—preserving Einstein's determinism without hidden variables, wavefunction collapse, or many worlds.
