One Register: A Common Origin for the Granularity of Hilbert Space and of Space

Abstract

In the paper on the origin of gravitation, we postulated separately that Hilbert space and space are granular with one universal granularity L, extending Palmer's Rational Quantum Mechanics. We derived Newton's constant and Einstein's equations, and pinned L at two scales, galactic and cosmological. Here the two axioms become one postulate: a quantum state is a record of marks, one at each cell of a ring of L Planck cells. Its fraction m/L of +1 marks is a Born probability and its cyclic position a phase, one step of phase being one cell, a full turn one circuit. The ring is the register of the title. Placing the ring on a great circle of the cosmological horizon, as before, gives L = 2πR_Λ/ℓ_P ≈ 6×10⁶¹. Momentum is quantized at ħ/R_Λ; a state spread over all 2^N outcomes of N qubits needs cells for each, 2^N ≤ L, at most ⌊log₂ L⌋ = 205, whatever realizes them. Along a direction, light moves one cell per tick, velocity is v/c = 2m/L − 1, and matter at rest reverses every quarter Compton period, its clock Palmer's hidden global phase; several particles in several planes need three dimensions, built elsewhere. Predictions: the qubit ceiling, a random circuit and its inverse failing beyond 205 logical qubits, constant Λ, no energy-dependent light speed, and, unlike collapse models, no intrinsic matter-wave decoherence.v4: The postulate's hidden-phase clause no longer sets the origin of a record's phase at its creation, an event the dynamics does not contain; it states only that the phase's advance is never compared with another record's and that the dynamics does not expose it. The same deletion is made in Sec. II and in Sec. VIII. The abstract is rewritten to stand on its own. No result changes.v3: The postulate is restated as an operator: one notch is a translation by one Planck length, Palmer's step being what it does to the slowest wave. The capacity criterion is corrected to 2^N ≤ L, N_max = 205, Palmer's log2 L; the bit count giving 212 never binds, and the bound is on independently specified probabilities, not particle number. Added: the lattice dispersion of the tick; the scope, free dynamics exact in any plane, position in cells one-dimensional; the qubit ceiling as a mirror-circuit test.

Physics is written in mathematics, and at the base of mathematics lies distinction: yes or no, identical or different, one or zero. A bit is the minimal written form of such a distinction. Physics can therefore measure only what can become distinguishable. What cannot be distinguished cannot yet appear as a physical record. From distinguishability comes information; from the registration of information comes physical time. Unified informational Theory (UiT) presents a unified physical framework in which time, mass, force, thermodynamic directionality, electromagnetic coupling, nuclear structure, and horizon physics are expressed through one informational registration mechanism: closed phase becoming physical record. The central object is a closed-light phase carrier: a closed photon-like phase structure carrying informational increments of ℏ, rotating on a complex phase surface at the Compton frequency, with a Planck-scale phase radius. It is not treated as a point mechanically moving through ordinary three-dimensional space. Before measurement, its structure exists in the complex phase domain as physical distinguishability: real, active, and capable of producing measurable effects, but not yet written as an ordinary 3+1 record such as position, trajectory, detector event, clock reading, or linear-time history. Measurement is the operation that projects and registers part of this complex phase structure into ordinary record-space, using energy and carrying a thermodynamic cost. In UiT, linear physical time is the ordered registration of physical change into record. A record may be a clock reading, track, pointer state, detector click, environmental correlation, thermodynamic trace, or any stable physical mark. Time is not a passive background parameter. It is the informational order produced when phase structure becomes registered reality. The same principle also defines force. All forces are gradients of one underlying registration object, read under different load conditions, geometries, and coupling branches. A force appears where an invariant closed phase carrier is placed in a field whose time-registration rate varies across record-space. The carrier cannot change its own invariant Compton phase throughput, so the mismatch between invariant internal phase and local registration capacity becomes a physical force. Inertia and gravity are therefore not separate mysteries at the deepest level: both are responses of the same closed phase throughput to different ways of limiting temporal registration. Special relativity arises when recorded motion consumes part of the available registration bandwidth. Motion requires information about position and change of position, and this cost enters quadratically. The carrier phase itself never stops moving; what changes is how much of its invariant phase throughput can be written as linear time rather than as recorded motion. Lorentz time dilation is therefore read as a registration-budget partition: motion spends part of the time-writing capacity. Gravity arises from the same Compton throughput read radially. A mass is not merely an object placed inside space. It is closed-light Compton sampling of a Planck registration-stiffness update. Around it, record-space has reduced capacity to write distinguishable temporal information. Less capacity remains for writing time, and the radial gradient of that capacity is read as gravity. In this view, space is not a rubber sheet that literally bends. Space is the local capacity to register distinguishable physical alternatives. Changing the time-registration capacity also changes the spatial registration structure, so the same geodesics are obtained, but their ontology changes: curvature is the metric bookkeeping of variable registration capacity. This same capacity logic leads directly to thermodynamics and entropy. Entropy counts the available or dispersed ways in which distinctions can be written, stabilized, erased, hidden, or made inaccessible. Thermodynamic directionality is not added from outside. It is the cost and irreversibility of registering physical distinction into stable record. Horizon entropy is the saturated boundary count of the same closed phase surface: the point where ordinary exterior registration reaches its limiting boundary. Electromagnetism is read as a phase-connection branch of the same object. Charge is not introduced as an unrelated primitive substance, but as a coupling orientation of phase registration. Electric and magnetic effects are different record-space readouts of this phase connection under different motion and registration conditions. The weak sector gives UiT its primary empirical handle. Radioactive decay is treated as a finite identity-rewrite process. In order for a decay path to be environmentally perturbable, the environment must couple to degrees of freedom required for reverse daughter-to-parent reconstruction. This requires local reverse temporal registration: a limited branch in which identity is locally unwritten and rewritten. From this postulate, UiT produces a taxonomy of radioactive-decay perturbability, functioning like a periodic table of decay influence. The table does not merely classify known decays by name; it identifies which decay channels can be perturbed and why, according to the informational variables required by the reverse reconstruction path. The strong sector is expressed through closed multi-carrier phase geometry. Three phase carriers form a zero-sum closure in the complex plane. What appears outwardly as fractional charge is a projection of a deeper internal closure: one-third is externally read, while two-thirds remain internally locked within the phase structure. This gives a geometric and numerical account of fractional charge weights, confinement architecture, and the Cornell-potential structure, while leaving full QCD dynamics and detailed coefficients as completion targets. UiT is not presented as a theory of everything, and it does not discard established physics. It proposes a deeper informational primitive from which quantum phase, relativistic time, gravitational distortion, thermodynamic irreversibility, electromagnetic coupling, weak decay, strong closure, and horizon counting arise as different expressions of one closed phase-registration object. The empirical content is twofold. The primary tested layer is the weak-sector perturbability table, which organizes radioactive decay channels according to the informational degrees of freedom required for reverse daughter-to-parent reconstruction. A second prospective discriminant predicts photon arrival-time delay with no linear Planck-energy term and leading quadratic Planck suppression. The compact unification principle is this: physical law is the geometry of informational registration. Time is the written order of phase registration; mass is closed-light Compton throughput; force is the gradient of registration mismatch; entropy is the count and cost of distinguishable writing; and the apparent separation between relativity, thermodynamics, electromagnetism, nuclear structure, and horizon physics reflects different readout conditions of the same underlying closed phase surface.

Quantum Time - Wavefunction Collapse as the Origin of Spacetime and the Standard Model

Samuel Matthew Zygielbaum

See changelog below. The full derivations are provided in the attached paper. Every result is reproducible from the stated inputs. This paper derives the complete Standard Model, quantum mechanics, spacetime, and gravity — 85 quantitative results at sub-percent precision spanning 15 orders of magnitude — from a single postulate, four structural principles, and one measurement. The Standard Model has seventeen free parameters. General relativity has no quantum theory. The measurement problem has been open for a century. The cosmological constant is wrong by 120 orders of magnitude. The question of why there is something rather than nothing has no physical answer in any existing framework. Each of these failures shares a common omission: none ask where time comes from. This paper takes that question seriously. A single physical principle — information cannot be destroyed — is self-sealing: its own violation is incoherent. Its formal expression is Postulate I: each foreclosed quantum branch produces exactly one chronon — a massless spin-1 gauge boson of U(1)_T, the unique gauge group forced by the complex ray structure of the Hilbert space and the single scalar collapse charge. We call it the chronon. Time is not the background in which physics happens; it is generated by physics, irreversibly, at every collapse. These requirements yield a single Lagrangian, ℒ_QT, that extends the Standard Model by one massless spin-1 field and one coupling constant. From this — combined with one measurement, Newton’s gravitational constant G — we derive: all of quantum mechanics via the Piron–Soler–Gleason chain (not assumed); the complete Standard Model with all dimensionless parameters determined; the complete resolution of the measurement problem, including the environmental decoherence cascade; and 85 quantitative physical results spanning fifteen orders of magnitude in energy. Three spatial dimensions follow from the channel-matching principle (D = N_c) and the Weinberg angle consistency condition (N_c = 3). The Big Bang was not initiated — it was mandatory. The numerical precision is sharp. The worst result where the theoretical prediction exceeds experimental precision is 0.5%. For the majority of results, the framework’s prediction is already more precise than the measurement. The proton-to-electron mass ratio m_p/m_e = 2N_cπ⁵(1 + α²/√(N_c²−1)) agrees to sub-ppb precision. The proton charge radius matches muonic hydrogen to five significant figures. The Higgs boson mass to 0.002% via the full cascade derivation (0.25% from the explicit formula). The W boson mass to 0.001%. The fine structure constant to 0.026% (1/α = 137 exactly at tree level). The cosmological constant — wrong by 120 orders of magnitude in standard QFT — is derived to 0.03%. The Hubble tension, a 5σ discrepancy unresolved in standard cosmology, follows from the same structure: H₀_local = H₀ × 13/12 = 73.0 km/s/Mpc (0.05%). All four PMNS neutrino mixing parameters, previously unexplained, are derived to sub-0.5%. Sub-percent agreement spans from neutrino mass splittings at ~9 meV to the CMB temperature at 2.725 K — fifteen orders of magnitude from a single dimensionful input. The framework makes ten falsifiable predictions currently under test: an electron electric dipole moment of exactly zero (ACME III is live); a spin-1 gravitational wave breathing mode at ~9% of the + polarisation amplitude (testable with LIGO O4/O5 data); no dark matter particle in any direct-detection experiment; no graviton — gravity is geometric drift in a proper-time gradient sourced by the energy-momentum tensor, not exchange of a spin-2 particle; there is nothing to detect. A confirmed non-zero electron EDM or a detected graviton falsifies the framework immediately. The logical order, from bottom to top: information cannot be destroyed → P-I (one chronon per foreclosed branch) → proposition lattice with axioms P0–P4 → Piron–Soler–Gleason chain → complex Hilbert space → ray phase redundancy → single scalar collapse charge → U(1)_T gauge field with Maxwell dynamics → channel-matching principle gives D = N_c → Weinberg angle selects N_c = 3 → D = 3 → adding G through the Planck cascade gives λ_conf = 0.40092 fm → the complete Standard Model follows. Spacetime, quantum mechanics, and the Standard Model are not independent inputs — they follow as consequences of P-I, the structural principles, and one observational consistency condition. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ v86 Changelog (April 7–8 2026) — All numerical results unchanged from v85. No formulas modified. Foundational structure and derivation justifications rebuilt following adversarial review by two independent AI systems (Claude, GPT-4o). Foundational hardening: §2.2: Formal axiom framework P0–P4 added. Piron lattice conditions now follow as a theorem given five named structural axioms, not as informal physical arguments. P-I motivates four directly; P0 (admissibility closure) is a structural axiom on the proposition space. §2.5: ℝ exclusion replaced. Old iε propagator argument replaced with operational compositionality / local tomography argument requiring no field-theoretic machinery. §3.1: Gauge derivation rebuilt from complex ray structure forward. U(1)_T now derived from phase redundancy + single scalar collapse charge + rank-1 compact Lie group + label-free emission. Removes prior dependence on Noether's theorem invocation and energy minimization principle. §8.1.1: Channel-matching theorem added. D = N_c derived from information-balance between spatial export channels and internal confinement channels via mismatch functional. Replaces prior mutual-reinforcement argument. §1.5.1: Epistemic taxonomy added classifying all 85 results into three tiers: theorem-level (Piron, Soler, Gleason), physical-argument (gauge structure, mass formulas), and observational-consistency (N_c = 3 from Weinberg angle, cascade from G). §12: New section — Structural Analysis. Result classification (5 epistemic tiers, ~12 independent core results, compression ratio 85:19), axiom necessity (what breaks without each of P0–P4 and D1–D4), and ablation tests (N_c = 2, N_c = 4, drop P4, change coupling exponent, allow D ≠ N_c — every perturbation destroys the majority of results). Framework premise expanded from "one postulate" to "one postulate, four structural principles, and one measurement." Front matter aligned with body throughout. One derivation story, no internal contradictions. Derivation upgrades: Proton-to-electron mass ratio (§9.3): Replaced "2 spin states × N_c colours" with rigorous hyperspherical decomposition. S³ forced by massless emission in (3+1)D; S⁵ forced by K=0 ground state of 3-quark system in 6D relative coordinates. Neutral pion mass (§9.9.1): Factor 5 now derived as 2N_c − 1. Denominator 2π identified as one-loop coefficient of U(1)_T vector gauge coupling. Neutron-proton mass difference (§9.3.2): Replaced "circular loop + straight line" with flux tube arm derivation. π from SU(2) isospin rotation; +1 from chromoelectric flux tube arm to Y-junction. CP phase δ (§9.8.2): Replaced "axial-to-spherical flux ratio" with V−A vertex structure. The ratio 4/π is universal across all generation spaces because any unitary rotation lies on a great circle of S². W boson mass corrections (§9.5.1): Both NLO terms fully derived. Direct vertex α_s/(8π): C_F cancelled by non-relativistic reduction. Exchange α_s/(12π²): two vertices × Dirac-to-colour projection ratio. Charm mass (§9.13.4): Factor 4/π identified as axial-to-vector coupling ratio through V−A weak vertex. Systematic correction — QCD dressing factor: The coefficient 1/(2π) appearing in ~10 results was previously attributed to "hemisphere projection geometry." Replaced throughout: mass in the chronon framework is a U(1)_T vector gauge coupling, not a scalar Yukawa coupling. The factor 1/2 confirmed by two independent routes: (i) Dirac algebra (γ^α γ^μ γ_α = −2γ^μ vs scalar = 4); (ii) C_F cancellation by non-relativistic reduction. Label correction: CKM geometric factor (§9.8.1): "four-dimensional solid angle" corrected to "three-dimensional solid angle S² = 4π." Numbers unchanged. ______________________________________________________________________________________________________ v85 Changelog (April 6 2026) — Electroweak corrections, |V_cb| prediction, consistency audit Four physics improvements and a comprehensive numerical audit, all from first principles with zero free parameters. Top quark mass (0.41% → 0.06%): The electroweak self-energy correction factor changed from (N_c+1) to (N_c−1). The factor (N_c−1) = 2 counts the charged weak boson states (W⁺, W⁻) mediating the t→b→t self-energy loop — the SU(2)_L charge-raising/lowering generators. m_t = 172,803 MeV vs observed 172,700 MeV. CKM θ₂₃ / |V_cb| prediction (1.3% → 0.3%): The framework predicts |V_cb| = 42.1 × 10⁻³, essentially identical to the PDG inclusive determination (42.2 ± 0.5) × 10⁻³ and inconsistent with the exclusive determination (39.8 ± 0.6) × 10⁻³. The inclusive/exclusive |V_cb| tension is one of the open questions in flavour physics; the framework picks a side. Falsifiable prediction. Baryon asymmetry η (0.5% → <0.1%): The sphaleron efficiency κ correction changed from α_s/(2π²) to α/(2π). The sphaleron is an SU(2)_L electroweak process; its one-loop vertex correction uses the QED coupling α/(2π), not the QCD coupling. Neutrino mass splitting Δm²₂₃ (0.3% → 0.08%): QED vacuum polarization correction −α/(2π) added to G₃ alongside the existing QCD correction +α_s/π. Quantum Mechanics Based on the Density of Quantum Space (Part V)

Mario Kozar

DESCRIPTION This work presents a complete, deterministic framework for quantum mechanics derived entirely from a single, testable postulate: the density of quantum space. The Core Problem For over a century, quantum mechanics has been interpreted as a theory of fundamental randomness, wave-particle duality, instantaneous jumps, and irreducible uncertainty. The standard Copenhagen interpretation treats the wave function as a probability amplitude, measurement as a "collapse" of that probability, and the Heisenberg uncertainty principle as a fundamental limit of nature. This work demonstrates that all these "mysteries" are not properties of nature—they are artifacts of our limited perception. We observe quantum phenomena through slow, macroscopic instruments that cannot resolve the actual continuous dynamics occurring in a space that is 6.54 trillion times denser than what we perceive as "empty space." The Fundamental Postulate The foundation of this work is a single, geometrically derived constant: ρ = (number of Planck lengths in 1 mm) / (number of millimeters in 1 light-year) = 6.54 × 10¹² Physical Meaning: One millimeter of physical space contains 6.54 trillion times more quantum spatial units than one light-year contains millimeters. What we perceive as "empty space" is actually a dense, discrete, information-rich medium. The entire observable universe (93 billion light-years in diameter) maps to only 0.014 light-years in quantum space—well within our Solar System. Consequence: The density inversion explains why quantum phenomena appear strange: we are observing a dense, fast, discrete reality through slow, coarse, macroscopic instruments. The apparent "weirdness" is not in nature—it is in our perception. The Comprehensive Law From the density postulate and classical physics (Newton, Coulomb, Maxwell, Einstein), a single comprehensive law is derived that contains all known physics as limit cases: E(t,v,n) = (m₀c²/ρ) · ‖n‖ · √(1 + (γv/c)²) · sin(2πt/T) This formula contains: Einstein's E = mc² as the limit ρ → 1, ‖n‖ → 1, sin → 1, v ≪ c Newtonian mechanics as the limit v ≪ c Special relativity as the limit ρ → 1, ‖n‖ → 1, sin → 1 Quantum mechanics as the discrete geometry n ∈ ℤ³ and resonance sin(2πt/T) Each term has a precise physical meaning: the rest mass energy (m₀c²) is scaled by the quantum space density (1/ρ), modified by the position relative to the absolute zero point Z₀ (‖n‖), adjusted for relativistic motion (√(1 + (γv/c)²)), and modulated by temporal resonance (sin(2πt/T)). Resolution of All Quantum Paradoxes Wave-Particle Duality = Optical Illusion The electron is always a localized particle with a definite trajectory. The "wave" is the charge density distribution—a standing wave in the dense quantum medium. From the standing wave condition 2πr = nλ, the Poynting vector in the far field is exactly zero (S = 0), meaning the electron does not radiate. The apparent "wave behavior" is an optical illusion caused by the density ρ smearing the point-like trajectory in our low-resolution projection. Wave Function = Energy Density, Not Probability The squared modulus of the wave function |Ψ|² is the energy density fraction, not a probability density. The particle itself follows a deterministic trajectory y(t) = v₀t - ½g₀t². Probability appears only because we cannot resolve the trajectory (due to t_total = 118 as ≪ Δt_instr) and we do not know the initial phase φ of the oscillation. Schrödinger Equation = Effective Approximation The Schrödinger equation is an effective, averaged description of how the energy density evolves. The fundamental law is classical motion in the dense quantum medium. The Schrödinger equation emerges when we average over the fast oscillation sin(2πt/T), ignore the density force F_ρ, and treat trajectories statistically. Quantization = Resonance, Not Arbitrary Jumps Energy levels are the resonant harmonics of the quantum space medium. The standing wave condition 2πr = nλ gives E_n = -13.6 eV/n²—exactly the same physics as a vibrating string. Only frequencies that satisfy the standing wave condition are stable. The transition between levels is not an instantaneous "jump" but a continuous trajectory y(t) = v₀t - ½g₀t² with total duration t_total = 118 as. The apparent "instantaneous jump" is an artifact of our slow instruments. Heisenberg Uncertainty = Collision, Not Fundamental Limit The uncertainty product depends on the measurement geometry: Δx·Δp = h·tan(θ/2), where θ is the scattering angle of the measurement photon. As θ → 0 (forward scattering with perfect detection), the product approaches zero. There is no fundamental lower bound. The uncertainty is a practical limitation of invasive measurement—we disturb the particle's trajectory when we hit it with a photon. Quantum Randomness = Ignorance Residual "quantum randomness" is simply unmodeled environmental force noise. The apparent randomness arises from three sources: temporal resolution (t_total = 118 as ≪ Δt_instr—we cannot resolve the trajectory), initial phase ignorance (we do not know the phase φ of sin(2πt/T)), and measurement perturbation (we do not know the exact collision parameters). If we could measure the outgoing photon completely and know the initial phase, the outcome would be fully deterministic. Randomness is in our ignorance, not in nature. Five Testable Predictions The theory makes five clear, quantitative predictions that distinguish it from standard quantum mechanics: Prediction 1 - Electron Transit Time: The electron transit time during the n=1 → n=2 transition in hydrogen is 118 ± 5 attoseconds. Standard quantum mechanics predicts zero duration (instantaneous jump). Testable with attosecond pump-probe spectroscopy. Prediction 2 - Heisenberg Product Can Approach Zero: With better detectors, the uncertainty product Δx·Δp can approach zero, not ħ/2. Standard quantum mechanics predicts Δx·Δp ≥ ħ/2 always. Testable with weak measurement experiments. Prediction 3 - Energy Oscillation at 116 kHz: The energy of gold-197 oscillates at 116 kHz with amplitude 1.252 × 10⁻²⁶ J. Standard quantum mechanics predicts constant energy for a given state. Testable with precision spectroscopy. Prediction 4 - Bell Inequality Violations Decrease with Measurement Strength: As measurement impulse strength decreases, Bell inequality violations decrease. Standard quantum mechanics predicts violations are independent of measurement strength. Testable with weak measurement entanglement experiments. Prediction 5 - Quantum Randomness is Environmental Noise: Residual "quantum randomness" equals unmodeled environmental force noise. Full force accounting restores classical determinism. Standard quantum mechanics predicts randomness is fundamental and irreducible. Testable with complete force reconstruction in closed quantum systems. The Absolute Zero Point Z₀ This work introduces Z₀ = (0,0,0) as a universal, absolute reference point in quantum space. Every point in space has a discrete address: n = (n_r, n_θ, n_φ), ‖n‖ = √(n_r² + n_θ² + n_φ²) Z₀ is physically grounded in the cosmic microwave background (CMB) rest frame, vacuum energy (the lowest possible energy state), and the geometric center of the quantum space lattice. This eliminates the relativity of reference frames—providing an absolute coordinate system that standard physics lacks. Mathematical Consistency The work provides rigorous derivations of: The density ρ from first principles (Planck length, electron mass, fine structure constant) The quantum coordinate norm ‖n‖ from the discrete metric of quantum space The oscillation period T from the de Broglie relation The coupling constant ε from fundamental constants The regularized metric eliminating all singularities The thermodynamic properties of quantum space (entropy, temperature, heat capacity) The covariant Einstein equation in quantum space The connection to quantum anomalies and topological invariants The Lamb shift from quantum space density oscillation Dark energy from quantum space density variation Comparison with Other Approaches String theory requires approximately 10⁵⁰⁰ free parameters and offers no testable predictions with current technology, while introducing new physics such as strings, extra dimensions, and supersymmetry. Loop quantum gravity requires approximately 10 parameters and also offers no testable predictions, introducing spin networks and loop quantization. Both approaches have difficulty connecting to the Standard Model. In contrast, this theory has only one parameter (ρ, which is derived from fundamental constants rather than being free), offers five testable predictions with current or near-future technology, requires no new physics beyond standard physics applied in a dense medium, and connects directly to the Standard Model through the energy-momentum tensor. The Core Message Quantum mechanics is not magic. It is not a new kind of physics. It is the same old physics—Newton, Maxwell, Coulomb—operating in a space that is 6.54 trillion times denser than we perceive. Three things to remember: Space is dense, not empty. What we call "empty space" is actually a dense, discrete medium. We are the ones who are sparse—not the universe. The particle has a trajectory. Every particle follows a precise, continuous path. We don't see it because our instruments are too slow. The path exists—we just can't resolve it. Energy breathes. Energy is not a static number. It oscillates in time, like a heartbeat. The universe is alive with resonance. Conclusion This work demonstrates that quantum mechanics is not a theory of fundamental randomness and irreducible uncertainty. It is the low-resolution, static-space approximation of a deeper, deterministic, dynamic reality. The deeper reality is quantum space—dense, discrete, resonant, and absolute. The final statement of this

Important status notice: This version has been superseded by v2.0. Subsequent work shows that the single-domain three-diagonal construction used here produces an experimentally excluded common-mode photon-speed anisotropy. Readers should consult the revised version and 10.5281/zenodo.21464971. ================================================================ABSTRACT================================================================ We propose that conservation of probability — the single axiom A=1— is sufficient to derive the principal results of quantum mechanicswithout additional postulates. On a bipartite three-dimensionalcausal lattice (T³_diamond), each particle is represented as acausal session: an independent phase oscillator that propagatesamplitude across the lattice subject to |ψ_R|² + |ψ_L|² = 1 atevery tick. No Hamiltonian and no measurement postulate areassumed; a Hilbert-space structure with unitary evolution emergesfrom the U(1) oscillator and the per-session amplitude constraintrather than being postulated a priori. From this single constraint we derive: (i) the Dirac equation in the continuum limit a → 0, with thegamma matrices identified as geometric encodings of the RGB/CMYbipartite sublattice geometry; rotational invariance is recoveredon O_h-averaged observables (the same mechanism by which staggeredfermions recover Lorentz invariance in lattice QCD), and theresidual lattice birefringence aligned with the optical axisV₁+V₂+V₃ = (1,1,-1) is a falsifiable prediction with closed-formcoefficients; (ii) wave-particle duality and the Born rule as consequences ofamplitude redistribution under A=1; (iii) quantization of atomic orbitals as Arnold-tongue attractorsof the two-body phase dynamics, recovering the hydrogen Bohr radiusto four significant figures without fitting; (iv) gravity as a clock-density gradient rather than spacetimecurvature — a refraction of causal paths through regions ofhigher session density, reproducing the 1/r² force law with afalsifiable discrete correction at short range; (v) photon emission as a structural consequence of A=1: theCoulomb interaction is a probability source that a single sessioncannot accommodate, mandating creation of a new photon sessionat orbit lock-in; a first numerical implementation (exp_19c)preserves per-session unitarity at all swept emission rates, anda controlled three-arm operator comparison (exp_20) confirms apointwise unitary beam splitter as the joint-A=1-preservingemission operator (joint A=1 preserved to machine precision8.9×10⁻¹⁶); orbital settling remains open, traced to a long-horizon two-body baseline instability isolated in exp_12b(audit table; both rows PART); (vi) the structural form of the induced gauge action (Sakharov /Zeldovich, Appendix B), whose leading-order term has the Maxwellform on O_h-averaged observables together with a closed-formgauge-sector birefringence sharing the same optical axis (1,1,-1)as the kinematic-sector prediction (numerical 1/g² prefactor andthe empirical test of the birefringence remain open); thepredicted concordance of kinematic, gauge, gravitational, andatomic-clock channels along this single axis is the framework'sstrongest falsifiable prediction (P9). Energy conservation and momentum conservation are not independentinputs — they are consequences of A=1 applied to closed sessionsets. The numerically tractable results are verified or partiallyverified by a suite of more than fifteen experiments with no freeparameters beyond the Planck-scale calibration of the latticespacing (audit table records the status of each claim); theframework's remaining derivations — black-hole thermodynamicsamong them — are established analytically under explicitly statedmodelling assumptions and flagged as such where they appear. The framework suggests a structural reinterpretation of theStandard Model's gauge degrees of freedom as the minimalaccounting required to maintain A=1 on the bipartite latticegeometry: the particle content is reframed as the catalogue ofprobability imbalances the lattice generates and the session typesrequired to resolve them. Whether the full Standard Model gaugegroup SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1) is the automorphism group of(T³_diamond, A=1) is a well-posed finite-dimensional Lie-algebraquestion, deferred to a companion paper. ================================================================WHAT'S NEW IN v0.98-RC (since v0.97-RC)================================================================ A release-candidate update building on v0.97-RC's structuralenrichment. Two new experiments completed their first runs, twonew entries were added to the audit table (both PART), and thepaper text was systematically reconciled with the audit-tablestatuses with the help of an automated consistency-check toolintroduced in this release. ----------------------------------------------------------------HEADLINE CHANGES---------------------------------------------------------------- EXP_20 — THREE-ARM EMISSION OPERATOR COMPARISON First experiment to test whether a unitary 2-mode rotation (beamsplitter) is the correct emission operator for the lattice's jointA=1 conservation, compared directly against the as-written drainin exp_19c (arm A) and the phase-rotation drain (arm C). Arm A (control, drain): A_drift = 1.0×10⁰ Arm B (treatment, beam splitter): A_drift = 8.9×10⁻¹⁶ ← machine precision Arm C (alternative, phase rot): A_drift = 1.0×10⁻¹² Joint A=1 conservation experimentally validated to machineprecision under the unitary beam splitter. The as-written drain inexp_19c reproduces the row-5 arithmetic (1 - 2m + 2m²)|ψ_e|² —joint amplitude drift = 1.0 from photon inflation at the firstemission tick. Phase-dependent non-monotonic transfer in arm B: photon amplitudegrew to 0.236 at tick 2019 then receded to 0.005 by tick 4019 —a refinement to the operation-algebra row 6 prediction that afollow-on calculation will need to address. Orbital settling not achieved at the swept rate; see exp_12b. EXP_12B — LONG-DURATION TWO-BODY BASELINE (NO EMISSION) Bare exp_12 setup run for 6000 ticks. r_peak escapes from R₁ togrid edge (~83) by tick ~2000 and never returns. A=1 preserved atmachine precision throughout. Refines but does not invalidate exp_12's 4-sig-fig PASS, whichscores a different (k-scan resonance peak) claim. The orbitalescape seen in all three arms of exp_20 is inherited from thisbaseline, not caused by the emission operator. Exp_12's scoringwindow is now noted explicitly in Table 1's caption. TWO NEW AUDIT-TABLE ENTRIES (BOTH PART, BOTH ADDITIVE) - "Two-body long-horizon stability" — captures the exp_12b finding. - "Emission-operator joint A=1 conservation" — captures the exp_20 arm B confirmation. The existing "Photon emission as A=1 necessity" entry's evidencecolumn was refreshed; the entry remains PART. "ONE LAW AT THREE RESOLUTIONS" — NEW INTRODUCTION PARAGRAPH Identifies the clock fluid density ρ_φ(x) = Σᵢ ωᵢ |ψᵢ(x)|² as theω-weighted form of the joint amplitude density A_joint(x) =Σᵢ |ψᵢ(x)|². Three structural resolutions of A=1: per-sessionunitarity (axiom), joint amplitude density (operation-algebratag), local clock-fluid continuity (gives gravity). Energyconservation is the ω-weighted spatial integral. Probabilityconservation, mass-energy conservation, and gravity all share onestructural origin. REVIEWER-DRIVEN FRAMING REFINEMENTS Five external reviewers' feedback was incorporated: - "No Hilbert space is assumed" softened: a Hilbert-space structure is acknowledged to emerge implicitly from the U(1) oscillator and the per-session amplitude constraint rather than being postulated a priori. - "The Standard Model is not a theory — it is an accounting system" replaced with a structural-reinterpretation framing: the Lie-algebra question Aut(T³_diamond, A=1) =? SO(3,1) × SU(3) × SU(2) × U(1) is now explicitly a deferred follow-on. - PASS / PART / STUB legend added at first explicit use in the introduction; Table 1 caption extended with a scoring-window note for exp_12. - New Appendix C: Reproducibility Quickstart. Compact 1-2 page reviewer-targeted summary with a 10-line minimal verification snippet (EXP12B_TICKS=20 run → reference output r_peak ≈ 9.877, A_drift ≈ 4.4×10⁻¹⁶). Complements the comprehensive Appendix A. - Conclusion's "What remains open" subsection extended with three new items: long-horizon two-body stability (exp_12b finding), numerical 1/g² prefactor for the induced gauge action, and the empirical test of the gauge-sector birefringence prediction (P9, separated from the analytical derivation). - Software-engineering vocabulary at the meta-prose layer sanitized to physics-friendly equivalents. The Information-Processing Universe: Spacetime as a Lossy Projection of a Hidden Informational Dimension and a Gravitationally Running Tsirelson Bound

Weiran Fang

I propose that spacetime is a discrete, lossy rendering of a continuous, non-local information space, the Hidden Informational Dimension (HID). The rendering occurs at a granularity set by Planck’s constant, and each processing tick transmits the relational information of a joint measurement with fidelity equal to the overlap of the questions asked. The resulting dressing law, Eobs(a, b) = −sgn(a·b) |a·b|p, reproduces the complete quantum singlet correlator at unit dressing exponent and retrodicts the Tsirelson bound as B = 4 · 2−1/2 = 2√2. The tick law is itself derived from the granularity postulate up to a single frame-selection axiom: its covariant rival and its dispersive alternative are excluded by existing experiments, the latter at ∼200σ, certifying the processing sequence as a deterministic clock. The exponent is identified with the local processing rate—the gravitational time-dilation factor, augmented by a cosmological entropy term—so the framework contains no free parameters beyond a single gauge choice: the processing foliation is identified with the comoving cosmic rest frame, anchoring the exponent to unity at the cosmic mean potential of the present epoch. A rendered universe is quantum while 1 ≤ p ≤ 2; at horizons p → 0 and the bare no-signalling statistics (B = 4) are exposed; at the entropic limit p → ∞ and correlation dies. The accompanying strong-gravity violation of information causality is quantified and quarantined: a final-station composition theorem forbids its export, and the collapse of communication complexity is confined to r < 1.52 rs, just outside the photon sphere. The theory therefore predicts a running Tsirelson bound, B(p) = 4 · 2−p/2, together with a characteristic deformation of the correlation curve that is pinned at aligned and conjugate settings and maximal near cos θ = e−1—a signature no noise process can imitate—and an absolute, one-sided offset of (1–6) × 10−5 above 2√2 in every terrestrial laboratory, which sits in the potential well of local large-scale structure. Information loss is priced by Landauer’s principle—each CHSHoptimal readout erases exactly half a bit—gravitation is embedded as processing-rate modulation, and the cyclic waveform of the universe is identified with the sign-extended “necklace” instantons of the minisuperspace no-boundary path integral. A staged experimental programme, from tabletop Tsirelson-saturation tests to a solar-orbit Bell mission, is proposed.

Local Born geometry and the Tsirelson bound: registered consistency checks, checkerboard interference and a retrocausal singlet model

Ugo Lanciano

Common introduction to all the records of this series. The content of this record follows below. Mathematical Materiality (MM) in brief. Why are the laws of physics the same everywhere and at every instant, even though nothing forces matter to obey them? MM proposes an answer: the laws are not rules imposed on matter from the outside; rather, matter itself is made of mathematical relations. And mathematics cannot change: a relation binds two distinct terms everywhere and always. In logic, nothing exists on its own: to exist means to be in relation to another logical entity, and outside this web of relations nothing can exist, not even other universes. This reading already meets experimental measurements at two points. First, the ratio of dark to ordinary matter is read as 3√3 = 5.196; when left free in the fits, Planck and DESI DR2 data give 5.21–5.22 (as registered in record 2.44, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23329080). Second, the acceleration scale of galaxies is read as a₀ = cH₀/6, the same scale that appears in Verlinde's emergent gravity: the computed value is 1.09–1.18 × 10⁻¹⁰ m/s² against the measured value of 1.20 (record 2.46.1, https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23506655). Both readings were formulated with the measurements already known; the tests to check them against future data are registered in the same records. In the first logical nexus between space and time — which became homogeneous with Einstein — there is a non-local phase, made only of a pure logical distinction: space is not time. Between the two there is no relation of quantitative calculation, only the logical entity they have in common, which is needed to make them exist with respect to each other. This level is not distant: it is present in every phase of reality, in every place and at every instant. It shows in entanglement, where two distant systems remain correlated more strongly than any explanation based on separate properties and free of faster-than-light influences allows, without anything physically travelling between them. In this non-local phase the two distinct terms, space and time, share only one logical element, which we shall call their greatest common divisor (GCD), just as the numbers 3 and 5 have only 1 in common. The local world arises when a relation is counted through this GCD: its multiples and its fractions form a matrix. Seen by an observer inside the system like us, the multiples appear as time and the fractions as space. When that same multiple is directly contained in the matrix of the point of observation, it turns into mass — that is, into concrete matter as we usually understand it. There is therefore a close link between time and mass, in full agreement with Einstein's relativity, which ties mass to spacetime. The observed objects, while being logically autonomous entities in their local relations, enter into relation with the observer through a logical diffraction — that is, a decomposition into fractions — of the observer's matrix. This reading also gives a reason for the limit of the speed of light, which in Einstein's relativity is instead taken as a starting principle. The speed of light is the fixed exchange rate between the multiples and the fractions of the same GCD, meaning how much space a single step of time is worth: exceeding it would mean, for some observer, covering space without counting time, and thus leaving the local world. Logic always starts from a logical relative, and this exchange rate has nothing absolute in itself either: it is a necessary relative which, inside the system, becomes an absolute hypothesis, the same for everyone and impossible to exceed. Outside the system, by contrast, it has no justification at all, because outside there is only non-existence: justifying something requires another term to relate it to, and out there there is none. Asking for a reason from outside is like asking what lies north of the North Pole. The same theoretical framework that reads space, time, mass and the observed objects also admits quantum mechanics. The non-local phase and the mirror-like logical reciprocity between the two ends of the nexus give a reason for the probabilistic behaviour of matter. When the observed object is large enough, its mass fixes it in the matrix of the point of observation: for this reason we see it in one precise place and at one precise instant. When instead the object falls below a certain mass threshold, the principal GCD (that of the point of observation) and the GCD of the diffraction that generates the object are forced to become equal, reflecting each other as in a mirror. At that point the object no longer occupies a single point of the spacetime generated by the observer, but spreads over several possible positions, and we observe it as probability. It is like having to describe the number 10 using only the number 1: the only way is to distribute the 1 over ten positions, one for each unit of the 10. Today we know that even objects made of thousands of atoms behave in this way, and no experiment has yet found the boundary. The idea that the passage from quantum to classical behaviour depends on mass is close to that of Penrose and Diósi; in MM the threshold is the point where the two GCDs, the principal one and that of the local diffraction, become equal. For all these reasons the universe behaves like a simulation without really being one. It follows exact rules, made of counts, everywhere and at every instant, but no machine runs them and no programmer wrote them: a structure of mathematical relations does not need to be computed in order to exist. Tegmark (2008) had already noted that such a simulation need not be run, while Vazza (2025) estimated that running it physically on a machine would require resources that the very laws of the universe do not allow. This record develops one aspect of the theoretical framework. The work is shared openly so that it can be judged by as many readers as possible: anyone who knows someone interested can pass on this single link, valid for the whole framework (with an overview in English and Italian): https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.23535916. Objections and errors found are welcome at riverantares@gmail.com, since Zenodo has no space for comments. Bell experiments without loopholes give CHSH values above the local bound 2, and high-precision measurements are compatible with Tsirelson's quantum bound 2√2 (Poh et al. 2015: 2.82759 ± 0.00051). This record asks what the author's framework, Mathematical Materiality (MM), must contain to respect both facts, and where it then stands among interpretations of quantum mechanics. No mathematical priority is claimed: the theorems used are published (Tsirelson; Barnum et al. 2010; Sorkin's quantum measures; Craig, Dowker et al. 2007; Aharonov's two-time formalism; Cramer; Argaman 2010; Wharton and Argaman 2020), and the record separates published results, derivations in the working notes and numerical conjectures. Predictions were registered with SHA-256 fingerprints before each test; failed predictions are reported. (1) Local readings and the Tsirelson bound. If each wing is read with the Born geometry (Euclidean state space with all its effects), no no-signalling joint event exceeds 2√2. Replacing the Euclidean ball with ℓ^p balls raises the maximum: 2^(2−1/p) for p ≥ 2 (the value of Ver Steeg and Wehner 2009), above 2√2 also for 1 < p < 2 (exact value conjectural). With marginals of length m the maximum is the quantum 2√(2 − m²). Two registered predictions failed: a hand formula, wrong for p < 2, and a three-dimensional search that stayed below the value already reached by the two-dimensional construction. (2) Two slits on the Feynman checkerboard (MM 2.40). In the 2.40 representation the imaginary turn weight −i sin θ produces destructive interference (dark fringes); with positive weights the two-slit pattern never falls below the sum of the single slits. The fringes fall at −143.2 and +140.4 lattice sites against ±142.1 predicted from the lattice dispersion. For the preparations tested, a real coin gives the same probabilities. A first registered run failed because its "central region" was badly defined; the second run was registered after seeing the first. (3) Can a future boundary give Born frequencies? In a minimal model, a future that selects the outcome reproduces Born frequencies only with some rules (weighting each future by the closure of its loop, or an exponential race), not with others. The measure over futures remains a postulate. (4) A locally mediated retrocausal singlet model. The future reading of one wing fixes a parameter carried back to the source and forward to the other wing, which reads it with the local Born rule. Singlet correlations are reproduced with every link along paths inside light cones. Within this family, no observable signalling holds only for the balanced (Born) weight, as already discussed by Argaman (2010); the angular law is assumed. (5) Self-consistency and the balanced weight. In the pair model the Born weight is put in by hand. With any other weight a bit could be signalled through the loop and, composed with a second link (Tolman's antitelephone, assumed), into the sender's past; a paradox protocol then makes consistent histories as improbable as one likes (0.02 with p = 0.51 and 10 001 pairs), while with the Born weight the channel carries nothing. This does not make non-Born weights impossible: the step from "arbitrarily improbable" to "cannot exist" is stated as the author's postulate. (

Sign pattern (QCD adds, QED subtracts) matches the W boson mass derivation. Numerical audit (22 corrections): Full line-by-line verification of every formula, table entry, agreement claim, and cross-reference. Corrections include: D/H value (2.62→2.58 × 10⁻⁵, 1.3σ→1.8σ — stale from pre-κ η); He-4 agreement (0.5σ→0.7σ); z_
