Abstract

Few-body physics explores quantum systems of a small number of particles, bridging the gap between single-particle and many-body regimes. To provide an accessible tool for such studies, we present FewBodyToolkit.jl, a Julia package for quantum few-body simulations. The package supports general two- and three-body systems in various spatial dimensions with arbitrary pair-interactions, and allows to calculate bound and resonant states. The implementation is based on the well-established Gaussian expansion method and we illustrate the package’s capabilities through benchmarks and research examples. The package comes with documentation and examples, making it useful for research, teaching, benchmarking, and method development.

PEPSKit.jl: A Julia package for projected entangled-pair state simulations

Paul Brehmer, Lander Burgelman, Zheng-Yuan Yue +3 more

We present PEPSKit$.$jl, a Julia package for simulating two-dimensional quantum many-body systems with infinite projected entangled-pair states (iPEPS). PEPSKit$.$jl builds on the TensorKit$.$jl package for tensor computations and provides high-level algorithms for iPEPS simulations that support both Abelian and non-Abelian symmetries, as well as fermionic systems. This work gives an overview of the main package features, which include support for ground-state, time-evolution, and finite-temperature simulations in systems with different physical symmetries and lattice geometries. These capabilities are illustrated through various examples and technical benchmarks.

Codebase release 1.5 for PauliStrings.jl

Nicolas Loizeau, J. Clayton Peacock, Dries Sels

We present the Julia package PauliStrings.jl for quantum many-body simulations, which performs fast operations on the Pauli group by encoding Pauli strings in binary. All of the Pauli string algebra is encoded into low-level logic operations on integers, and is made efficient by various truncation methods which allow for systematic extrapolation of the results. We illustrate the effectiveness of our package by (i) performing Heisenberg time evolution through direct numerical integration and (ii) by constructing a Liouvillian Krylov space. We benchmark the results against tensor network methods, and we find our package performs favorably. In addition, we show that this representation allows for easy encoding of any geometry. We present results for chaotic and integrable spin systems in 1D as well as some examples in 2D. Currently, the main limitations are the inefficiency of representing non-trivial pure states (or other low-rank operators), as well as the need to introduce dissipation to probe long-time dynamics.

SmoQyElPhQMC.jl: An open-source Julia package for efficient and scalable quantum Monte Carlo simulations of electron-phonon coupled models

Benjamin Cohen-Stead, James Neuhaus, Kipton M. Barros +2 more

We introduce version 1.0 of the SmoQyElPhQMC.jl package, an open-source Julia code for performing scalable quantum Monte Carlo simulations of electron-phonon coupled model Hamiltonians. SmoQyElPhQMC.jl is built upon the SmoQyDQMC.jl codebase and implements improved versions of the algorithms presented in [B. Cohen-Stead \textit{et al}., Phys. Rev. E 105, 065302 (2022)] to enable (near-linear) scalable simulations of a broad class of uncorrelated $e$-ph models both in system size and inverse temperature. By extending the functionality of the flexible scripting interface introduced in SmoQyDQMC.jl, the SmoQyElPhQMC.jl package continues to allow users to adapt it to different workflows and interface with other software packages in the Julia ecosystem. The code for this package can be downloaded from our GitHub repository at https://github.com/SmoQySuite/SmoQyElPhQMC.jl or installed using the Julia package manager. The online documentation, including examples, can be obtained from our documentation page at https://smoqysuite.github.io/SmoQyElPhQMC.jl/stable/.

Codebase release r0.3 for SmoQyDQMC.jl

Benjamin Cohen-Stead, Sohan Malkaruge Costa, James Neuhaus +5 more

We introduce the SmoQyDQMC.jl package, a Julia implementation of the determinant quantum Monte Carlo algorithm. SmoQyDQMC.jl supports generalized tight-binding Hamiltonians with on-site Hubbard and generalized electron-phonon ( e e -ph) interactions, including non-linear e e -ph coupling and anharmonic lattice potentials. Our implementation uses hybrid Monte Carlo methods with exact forces for sampling the phonon fields, enabling efficient simulation of low-energy phonon branches, including acoustic phonons. The SmoQyDQMC.jl package also uses a flexible scripting interface, allowing users to adapt it to different workflows and interface with other software packages in the Julia ecosystem. The code for this package can be downloaded from our GitHub repository at https://github.com/SmoQySuite/SmoQyDQMC.jl or installed using the Julia package manager. The online documentation, including examples, can be obtained from our document page at https://smoqysuite.github.io/SmoQyDQMC.jl/stable/.
