Abstract

This paper explores the application of quantum algorithms for the optimal control of nonlinear chaotic systems. The core claim is that quantum algorithms can enable precise control of these systems. The proposed methodology leverages quantum degradation algorithms and quantum Monte Carlo methods to address the complexities inherent in controlling chaotic dynamics. This represents a novel approach by directly applying quantum computation to the control of chaotic systems. Specifically, we outline a framework where the Hamiltonian of the chaotic system is represented in a quantum state, and then a quantum algorithm is designed to manipulate this state, thereby driving the system towards a desired target state. The effectiveness of the approach is demonstrated through theoretical analysis and conceptual design, without performing actual experiments. The work significantly contributes to the intersection of quantum computing and nonlinear dynamics, offering a potential pathway for robust and accurate control in scenarios where classical methods struggle. The primary focus is on the theoretical framework and algorithmic design, leaving the implementation details for future research.
