Abstract

Quantum key distribution (QKD) is a promising technology for secure communication, offering potentially unbreakable encryption. However, current QKD protocols are limited by the difficulty of generating and maintaining entangled states, necessitating complex and computationally intensive procedures. This paper introduces an adaptive quantum key distribution (QKD) algorithm, leveraging the inherent properties of quantum entanglement to dynamically adjust key distribution parameters, thereby enhancing security and efficiency. We propose a novel approach that utilizes a feedback loop to optimize key distribution based on observed error rates and entanglement fidelity, leading to a more robust and versatile QKD system. This research explores the design and implementation of this adaptive algorithm, detailing its core mechanism, key performance indicators, and potential applications. The study highlights the advantages of this approach over traditional QKD methods, emphasizing its potential to overcome current limitations and facilitate the widespread adoption of quantum communication.
