Abstract

This paper introduces a novel probabilistic graph search algorithm, dubbed "Quantum Adaptive Probability Search" (QAPS), that leverages quantum self-adaptation to enhance exploration within complex search spaces. Traditional probabilistic graph search methods often suffer from inefficiency, particularly in problems with intricate search landscapes. QAPS employs a quantum-inspired self-adaptation mechanism to dynamically restructure the graph, facilitating more efficient exploration and ultimately, the identification of optimal solutions. We demonstrate the algorithm's efficacy through a series of benchmark problems, highlighting its superior performance compared to established methods in terms of both search time and solution quality. The core mechanism centers around the creation of a quantum-informed probability graph, allowing for adaptive node and edge weights, which significantly improves the algorithm's ability to navigate challenging search spaces.

Quantum-Inspired Random Walk Algorithms for Graph Search

Jincheng Zhang

This paper explores the potential of quantum-inspired algorithms for graph search problems. Traditional random walk approaches often suffer from inefficiencies, particularly in complex graphs. We propose a novel framework that leverages concepts from quantum walks – specifically interference and tunneling – within a classical computational environment. Our algorithms dynamically adjust the probability distribution of node visits based on graph connectivity and the history of previous steps, mimicking the probabilistic nature of quantum mechanics. We demonstrate that this approach can, in certain scenarios, outperform standard random walks, offering a more adaptable and potentially faster search strategy. The core of the method lies in approximating the quantum effects through carefully designed classical simulations, without requiring actual quantum hardware. We present a mathematical formulation of the core algorithm and discuss its key parameters, focusing on the balance between classical simulation fidelity and computational cost. The results suggest a promising direction for graph search optimization, drawing inspiration from the principles of quantum mechanics.

Quantum-Inspired Stochastic Search for Complex Optimization

Jincheng Zhang

This paper introduces a novel stochastic search algorithm, termed Quantum-Inspired Stochastic Search (QISS), which leverages principles derived from quantum mechanics to address the challenges of complex optimization problems. Traditional stochastic search algorithms often struggle with high dimensionality and non-convex landscapes, leading to inefficient exploration and premature convergence. QISS overcomes these limitations by incorporating a "quantum-inspired" operator that mimics the probabilistic nature of quantum measurement. This operator allows the algorithm to simultaneously explore multiple potential solutions based on weighted probabilities, effectively simulating a quantum state. The core of QISS lies in its ability to dynamically adjust these probabilities, fostering a more comprehensive and efficient search process. The algorithm's design directly addresses the inherent uncertainties associated with complex optimization, offering a fundamentally different approach compared to conventional stochastic methods. We demonstrate the algorithm's potential through theoretical analysis and outline its key components and operational principles. The results suggest that QISS can significantly enhance the efficiency of stochastic search algorithms, particularly for high-dimensional, non-convex optimization problems.

Quantum-Inspired Stochastic Search for Complex Optimization Landscapes

Jincheng Zhang

This research presents a novel stochastic search algorithm, termed Quantum-Inspired Stochastic Search (QISS), designed to address the challenges posed by complex, high-dimensional, and non-convex optimization landscapes. Traditional stochastic search methods often struggle in these scenarios due to premature convergence and difficulty exploring diverse regions of the solution space. QISS draws inspiration from quantum mechanics, specifically the concepts of superposition and measurement, to enhance exploration and exploitation. The algorithm maintains candidate solutions in a probabilistic superposition of multiple states, and employs randomized projection operations analogous to quantum measurement to collapse the superposition, effectively guiding the search towards potentially optimal regions. The core idea is to mimic the probabilistic nature of quantum states, allowing the algorithm to simultaneously consider multiple possibilities before "measuring" and focusing on the most promising one. This approach demonstrates potential for improved performance compared to conventional stochastic search techniques, particularly in situations where the landscape is highly irregular and contains numerous local optima. The algorithm's performance is evaluated through simulations, showcasing its ability to navigate complex landscapes and converge towards solutions with improved accuracy and efficiency.
