Geometric Information Theory for Quantum Computing
Jincheng Zhang
Abstract
This paper explores the integration of geometric information theory (GIT) into quantum computation, aiming to enhance both the efficiency and reliability of quantum algorithms. GIT, a framework that quantifies the information content of geometric structures, offers a novel approach to optimizing quantum operations. We detail the application of GIT to key quantum computing processes, including quantum gate design, error correction, and measurement. The core mechanism focuses on leveraging geometric properties to improve the overall performance of quantum systems. The paper presents a preliminary investigation into how GIT can contribute to reduced computational complexity and enhanced robustness within quantum computation.
