Abstract

Abstract: Standard constraint programming approaches often struggle with complex robot control problems. We develop a quantum-inspired constraint programming paradigm that leverages quantum properties to improve solution speed and robustness. This paper introduces a novel quantum-inspired constraint solver utilizing quantum superposition and entanglement to explore the solution space more efficiently. We demonstrate the effectiveness of this approach through extensive simulations focusing on constrained robot dynamics, highlighting potential improvements in performance and the ability to handle complex control scenarios. The core mechanism centers around quantum-enhanced constraint satisfaction, enabling a more effective exploration of the solution space. We present preliminary results showcasing a substantial speedup compared to classical constraint programming methods, particularly for moderately sized problems. The paper concludes with a discussion of future research directions and the potential impact of this quantum-inspired approach on robotic control engineering.
