Abstract

This paper explores a novel approach to database querying by leveraging the principles of quantum state superposition. Traditional database queries are inherently sequential, often leading to performance bottlenecks, particularly with large datasets. This research proposes a paradigm shift where database queries are translated into quantum bits (qubits) existing in superposition states. Utilizing the inherent parallelism of quantum computers, we aim to execute multiple queries concurrently, dramatically accelerating the overall query process. The core claim is that superposition allows for parallel execution of database queries, significantly boosting efficiency. This work outlines the theoretical framework, identifies key challenges, and proposes a methodology for implementing superposition-based database querying. The focus remains on the conceptual design and potential benefits, without engaging in experimental validation.
