Abstract

Quantum Machine Learning (QML) offers a paradigm shift in data analysis, potentially surpassing the limitations of classical machine learning algorithms with its capacity for enhanced pattern recognition and data representation. This paper explores the application of quantum algorithms to address the challenges posed by inherently non-standard datasets, such as sensor data and time-series data characterized by complex correlations and high dimensionality. We propose a novel framework centered on quantum principal component analysis (QPCA) and Grover's algorithm to extract key insights from these datasets, demonstrating potential improvements in data understanding and feature extraction. This work aims to establish a foundation for QML applications in diverse fields, including anomaly detection, predictive modeling, and signal processing, where traditional methods often fall short. The core mechanism involves leveraging quantum properties to overcome challenges inherent in these data types.

Title: Quantum-Inspired Machine Learning for Topological Data Analysis

Jincheng Zhang

Quantum-inspired machine learning aims to leverage the principles of quantum mechanics to enhance data analysis and pattern recognition. This paper introduces a novel framework, Quantum-Inspired Machine Learning (QIM), designed to mimic the structure of topological data analysis (TDA), enabling the identification of complex patterns and anomalies. We propose a 'topological density' metric as a core feature extraction method, driving the development of a machine learning model that explores the interconnectedness of data points. The core claim is that this approach offers a fundamentally different perspective on data, leading to the detection of hidden patterns and anomalies previously difficult to identify using traditional machine learning techniques. This research explores the potential of QIM to revolutionize data analysis by introducing a novel approach to feature representation and pattern detection.
