Jincheng Zhang
Abstract
This paper explores the potential of quantum computation to accelerate computationally intensive tasks by leveraging the principle of quantum state superposition. Traditional parallel computing relies on replicating operations across multiple classical processors, a fundamentally limited approach. This work proposes a novel paradigm utilizing superposition, allowing a quantum system to represent and manipulate multiple states simultaneously. We detail the design considerations for quantum circuits exploiting superposition, focusing on the creation and manipulation of entangled quantum states. The theoretical framework presented demonstrates a pathway toward significant speedups for specific algorithms. The core claim is that the utilization of quantum state superposition enables parallel computation, thus accelerating execution times for demanding computations. The key mechanism involves designing quantum circuits that effectively harness superposition for parallel operations. This approach represents a departure from conventional parallel computing methods, offering a fundamentally different approach to tackling complex problems.
