Abstract

This paper investigates the potential of quantum gradient field optimization, a novel approach to complex function optimization. Traditional optimization methods often struggle with high-dimensional spaces and complex functions, while quantum computing offers unique capabilities for accelerating computation and potentially enabling new algorithmic paradigms. We introduce a 'Quantum Gradient Algorithm' – a dynamically adjusted gradient operator – designed to effectively navigate the complex landscape of function spaces, guided by quantum properties like superposition and entanglement. We demonstrate the algorithm's efficacy through a series of synthetic and preliminary analysis, showcasing improved performance compared to existing classical optimization techniques in a specific, challenging function space. The core mechanism centers around leveraging quantum entanglement to enhance gradient estimation and exploration, ultimately leading to more efficient optimization. The paper concludes with a discussion of future research directions, including scalability and broader application potential.
