Abstract

Quantum computing holds the potential to revolutionize numerous fields, offering unprecedented computational power. However, significant challenges remain in scaling up quantum systems and reducing errors. This paper explores the application of topological quantum computing hardware optimization, leveraging the unique properties of topological states to design more efficient and reliable quantum circuits. We propose a novel optimization framework centered around the manipulation of topological defects, aiming to minimize dissipation and error rates during quantum operations. The core mechanism involves strategically designing quantum bits (qubits) with specific topological properties, thereby minimizing the impact of environmental noise and improving overall performance. We detail a preliminary design and analysis of this approach, demonstrating promising results in mitigating existing hardware limitations.
