Abstract

This paper introduces a novel representation learning technique, termed "Entangled Representation Learning," which addresses the limitations of conventional dimensionality reduction methods when dealing with high-dimensional data. Traditional approaches often struggle to capture complex, non-local dependencies within the data, leading to information loss and suboptimal representations. Our method draws inspiration from quantum entanglement, explicitly modeling and encouraging correlations between data points through a modified quantum phase estimation algorithm. This process maps data into a Hilbert space, fostering 'entanglement' between distant points and generating a compressed representation that surpasses the capabilities of classical correlation matrices. We demonstrate the efficacy of this approach through a theoretical analysis and provide a detailed formulation of the algorithm, highlighting its potential for improved feature extraction and data analysis in scenarios with intricate correlations. The core claim of this work is that classical dimensionality reduction methods fail to adequately capture the complex correlations present in high-dimensional data, particularly when considering non-local dependencies. The core mechanism is the development of this novel technique, which actively encourages entanglement between distant points.

Quantum-Inspired Clustering with Entangled Feature Representations

Jincheng Zhang

This paper introduces a novel clustering approach termed Quantum-Inspired Clustering (QIC) leveraging concepts derived from quantum mechanics, specifically entanglement, to enhance feature representation and cluster discovery. Traditional clustering algorithms often face challenges when dealing with high-dimensional data and intricate feature dependencies. QIC addresses this by encoding features into entangled states, allowing the algorithm to capture and exploit correlated relationships within the data that are typically overlooked by conventional methods. The core mechanism relies on identifying clusters based on the shared information encoded within these entangled representations. The resulting algorithm demonstrates the potential to improve clustering performance, particularly in scenarios with complex datasets where linear separation is difficult or non-existent. We present a formal description of the algorithm, including the feature encoding process and the clustering objective function. The performance of the proposed method is discussed, highlighting its advantages and potential limitations.

Quantum-Inspired Data Compression via Entangled State Encoding

Jincheng Zhang

This paper proposes a novel data compression technique inspired by quantum entanglement. Traditional data compression algorithms often struggle to effectively capture and utilize complex correlations present within data sets. Our approach leverages the concept of entangled states to represent data, allowing multiple data points to be encoded simultaneously within a single quantum-like state. This fundamentally shifts the paradigm of compression from relying solely on statistical redundancy to exploiting inherent correlations, potentially leading to significantly higher compression ratios compared to conventional methods. The core idea is to map data elements to the amplitudes of an entangled state, effectively encoding multiple values with a single state vector. We explore the mathematical framework underlying this encoding process, including the construction of entangled states and the optimization strategies for data representation. The proposed method's potential impact on various data compression applications is discussed.
