Abstract

Quantum computing offers immense computational power, but the fragility of quantum states makes error correction a significant challenge. Traditional error mitigation techniques often rely on approximations and can introduce significant overhead. This paper introduces an innovative approach to adaptive quantum error mitigation, centered around topological state reconstruction. We propose a novel method for identifying and correcting errors by leveraging the inherent topological properties of quantum states. This approach offers a proactive and potentially more accurate method for quantum computation compared to traditional methods, driven by a simplified and robust error correction strategy. The core mechanism involves reconstructing a topological state that is less susceptible to errors, allowing for more accurate computations with reduced computational cost. We present preliminary results demonstrating the effectiveness of this method, highlighting its potential to significantly improve the reliability of quantum computations.
