Abstract

In the prevailing physics language, light is usually written simultaneously as "particle" and "wave," while atomic spectral lines are understood as photon frequencies emitted by energy-level transitions. However, without asking: what is the electron, why are shells discrete, what exactly is released in a transition, and what background does propagation depend on, the so-called "light-quantum effect" remains within the old object representation. This paper operates within the particle redefinition, electron candidate, atomic stability island, background propagation, and wavefunction projection framework already established by the Wu Xian Ze You San Zong System New Paradigm, invoking only the minimal publicly available interfaces directly relevant to this problem, and discusses three questions: what is the object position of the light quantum; why discrete spectral lines necessarily appear; and how the so-called wave-particle duality should be rewritten in this system. The core thesis of this paper has three layers. First, if microscopic objects are not a priori point particles but locally stable structural bodies \mathfrak P_n = (\mathcal C_n, \mathcal H_n), if the electron candidate has been locked as \mathfrak e_* = \operatorname*{arg\,min}_{\mathfrak P_n \in \mathcal E_{\mathrm{shell}}^-} \mathcal E_n^{(\mathrm{str})}, if the atom-like structural body is defined as \mathfrak A(Z,m) = (\mathcal K_Z,\ \{\mathfrak e_*\}_m,\ \mathcal H_Z^{(\mathrm{tot})}), then the so-called "light quantum" should not first be regarded as an a priori point object, but should be rewritten as: the minimal background packet released into the free-state background when discrete rearrangements occur between stable shell windows. This is denoted as \Pi_{i\to f}, and is defined as the background release packet that carries away the structural cost difference \Delta \mathcal E_{if} during the transition \mathfrak A_i \to \mathfrak A_f. Second, discrete spectral lines are not empirical accidents, but the direct result of the discrete structure of stability islands. If we define the normalized structural total cost relative to the electron candidate as \bar\mu(\mathfrak P) = \mathcal E_{\mathfrak P}^{(\mathrm{str})}/\mathcal E_{\mathfrak e_*}^{(\mathrm{str})}, then the transition energy bridging between any two stable windows is \Delta E_{if} = m_e c^2 (\bar\mu_i - \bar\mu_f). Further introducing the minimal action bridge candidate \hbar_* = m_e c \ell_e, the corresponding frequency bridging is \nu_{if} = \Delta E_{if}/h_* = c/(2\pi\ell_e)(\bar\mu_i - \bar\mu_f), where h_* = 2\pi\hbar_*. This expression shows that frequency is no longer an a priori empirical quantity, but a real-world reading of the stability-island total-cost difference bridged through c and \ell_e. In particular, in the minimal single-center bound window, if the effective potential enters the hydrogen-like 1/r bound structure, then necessarily E_n(Z_{\mathrm{eff}}) = -(1/2)m_e c^2 \alpha^2 Z_{\mathrm{eff}}^2/n^2, so that the transition frequencies satisfy the hydrogen-like discrete spectral structure. Thus, "why spectral lines are discrete" is for the first time pressed back to: stability-island discreteness + the minimal bound eigenproblem. Third, the so-called wave-particle duality in this system no longer corresponds to two mysterious ontologies, but to two levels of the same process: the emission/absorption layer is a local discrete transition event, and the propagation/interference layer is continuous wave propagation in the free-state background. That is: "particle" comes from discrete rearrangements between shell stability islands, "wave" comes from the propagable channel expansion of the background release packet \Pi_{i\to f} in the free-state background. Therefore, "light is both particle and wave" should be rewritten as: the light-quantum effect is the dual appearance of discrete transition events and continuous background propagation at different readout layers. Finally, this paper provides object-position definitions, transition-energy bridging, frequency bridging, minimal hydrogen-like bridging, hierarchical clarifications, and falsification conditions. The goal of this paper is not to complete the entire quantum optics in a single work, but to lock one mainline: if the electron candidate and atomic stability-island mainline hold, then the light-quantum effect must be rewritten as background packets released by discrete stability-island transitions, and is no longer an a priori point-photon object.

I-S01Wave Function, Measurement, Uncertainty, Entanglement, and the Classical Limit

汉 罗

Current quantum theory is extremely successful at the computational level, but its core objects have long been under multiple competing interpretations: whether the wave function is ontology, knowledge, a statistical tool, or a projection of hidden structure; why measurement changes the result; whether uncertainty is a fuzziness of natural ontology or a readout limitation; whether entanglement implies real action‑at‑a‑distance; and why the classical world emerges from quantum structure. This paper, building on the object rewriting, electron candidate, quantum‑optical background release packets, vacuum lowest state, time‑rate field, and reality‑bridging framework already accomplished in the three‑pillar system of Non‑manifest Selection of Being, invokes only the minimal public interfaces directly relevant to quantum foundational problems, and attempts to provide a unified rewriting of the above five questions. Our core conclusions are threefold. First, the wave function should not be primarily regarded as an a priori matter cloud or a purely cognitive symbol, but should be understood as: the readable complex‑amplitude projection of the joint state of a locally stable structural body and the free‑state background, under a given observational context \mathcal C. Define the object‑background joint state as $$\mathfrak P \otimes \Theta_f,$$ then the minimal object‑position of the wave function is written as $$\Psi_{\mathcal C} = \mathcal R_{\mathcal C}\!\left(\mathfrak P\otimes \Theta_f\right),$$ where \mathcal R_{\mathcal C} denotes the contextual projection operator jointly determined by the apparatus, boundaries, readout directions, and filtering rules. Thus, |\Psi|^2 is no longer "material density," but the realisable weight density of the joint state on a given readout channel. Second, measurement is not "looking" or a mysterious collapse, but the real coupling, channel filtering, and recording‑state freezing among the object, apparatus, and background. If the set of readable channels of the apparatus is \{\Pi_k^{(\mathcal A)}\}, then a measurement corresponds to the structural rewriting $$(\mathfrak P,\mathcal A,\Theta_f) \longrightarrow (\mathfrak P'_k,\mathcal A'_k,\Theta_f')$$ and, in conditionalised readout language, appears as $$\Psi_{\mathcal C} \longmapsto \Psi_{\mathcal C,k}' = \frac{\Pi_k^{(\mathcal A)}\Psi_{\mathcal C}} {\|\Pi_k^{(\mathcal A)}\Psi_{\mathcal C}\|}.$$ The so‑called "collapse" is therefore not an uncaused event, but a conditionalised rewriting on a designated channel after coupling. Third, uncertainty, entanglement, and the classical limit should all be derived from the main line of "joint state + background + finite readout." The minimal action bridge $$\hbar_* = m_e c \ell_e$$ specifies the minimal readout scale in phase space, so the position‑momentum‑type uncertainty relation is written as $$\Delta x\,\Delta p \gtrsim \frac{\hbar_*}{2},$$ whose essence is not the world's ontology being self‑contradictory, but the incompatibility between localisation and directional readout. Entanglement need not be interpreted as controllable action‑at‑a‑distance, but is written as: $$\Psi_{AB}\neq \Psi_A\Psi_B,$$ i.e., the non‑factorisable common background‑channel constraints under joint preparation conditions. The classical limit is not "quantum suddenly failing," but after $$\frac{S}{\hbar_*}\gg 1,$$ accompanied by stable‑island locking, environmental decoherence, and coarse‑grained averaging, the joint‑state projection contracts to near‑classical trajectories and near‑deterministic macroscopic readings. Finally, we give the object‑position of the wave function, the structural formula of measurement, the origin of uncertainty, the non‑superluminal reading of entanglement, the criterion for the classical limit, comparison with reality, and falsifiability conditions. The goal of this paper is not to replace the entire set of quantum mechanical techniques in one article, but first to lock down the deepest main line: if microscopic objects are not points, the vacuum is not emptiness, and propagation depends on the free‑state background, then the wave function, measurement, uncertainty, entanglement, and the classical world should no longer be fragmented into five mutually unrelated problems, but should be uniformly seen as "different representations of the structure‑background joint state under finite readout."

The Quantumness in Detecting Electromagnetic Waves is Determined by the Interaction Properties of the Detector

Chandrasekhar Roychoudhuri, Narasimha S. Prasad, Gayanath Fernando

Einstein’s 1905 paper on the photoelectric effect successfully modeled the published data while explicitly defining light as “indivisible light quanta”. One of the key successes of Quantum Mechanics (QM) of 1925-26, is the release of discrete packet of energy hv during any quantum level transitions in atoms and molecules. These two modern successes have overturned the mathematical and experimental knowledge developed over several centuries behind the optical science and engineering, without successfully bridging the knowledge gap epitomized by the still unresolved “wave-particle-duality” (WPD). Note that, optical science and engineering fields are still thriving using Huygens-Fresnel diffraction integral (HF-DI) of 1817 and Maxwell’s wave equations of 1876, without any controversy. This chapter resolves this dichotomy by eliminating the need for WPD. We provide a model for the atomic emission as a discrete packet of energy hv, as required by QM, but which evolves and propagates out as a Maxwellian classical exponential wave packet, while diffractively spreading out obeying the HF-DI. The continuing need to accept the magical WPD arises because we have not been systematically and explicitly exploring the two-step physical processes which take place during light-detector interaction before the photoelectric data is generated by our apparatus. The two steps are: (i) Linear amplitude-amplitude stimulation induced on the detecting dipoles by the light wave vector; (ii) which is then followed by the quadratic energy absorption step by the detector. If the detector is an LCR oscillator (for radio waves), or an old fashioned Bolometer (for higher frequencies), we would not observe any quantumness in the data. But, when we use a modern quantum photodetector using higher frequency EM waves, we can count highly amplified current pulses of electrons, generated out of each one of the released electron, bound quantum mechanically inside the detector.

The Real Nature of Atomic Energy Levels and Electron Orbits

Jiaqing Yan

This paper fully recognizes repeatable experimental facts related to atomic spectral observations electron shell arrangement and energy level transitions and respects all observed phenomena. It does not deny the statistical laws corresponding to energy level effects and the Pauli exclusion effect. The core purpose of this paper is to correct the long standing model inversion misunderstanding in quantum theory that is treating artificial definitions and mathematical approximation diagrams used by humans to simplify calculation and facilitate academic communication directly as physical reality in the microscopic world. This paper clearly distinguishes practical calculation rules from underlying physical mechanisms. Induced laws for human deduction and analysis cannot replace the true interaction nature of particles. This paper constructs a microscopic atomic picture based purely on mechanical balance with the core conclusions as follows. Atomic energy levels are not discrete geometric thin lines but continuous spherical potential energy intervals centered on atomic nuclei. The steady state of electron orbits arises from the combined balance of Coulomb repulsion and nuclear attraction instead of being preset in advance. The textbook diagrams showing intersecting orbits and dynamic avoidance of electrons are only effects of planar simplified drawing and do not represent the true microscopic state. Electrons in the same layer maintain stable equal spacing by Coulomb repulsion but spherical surfaces of inner and outer layers have different potential energy gradients leading to obvious differences in energy level gaps and finally differentiated transition spectra. Segmentation of visible light spectra originates from the difference in photoreception of cone cells in human eyes. Man is the measure of all things. Classification of spectra and energy levels by discrete criteria comes from human observational induction while natural ontology remains continuous. The Pauli exclusion effect is not an innate axiom of the universe but a natural mechanical result formed jointly by three dimensional space Coulomb repulsion and potential energy balance. This paper takes mechanical causality as the only main line to uniformly explain atomic energy levels spectral features and electron arrangement rules. All inferences strictly rely on experimental observations.

The Origin of the "Particle Nature" of Light — How a Continuous Transverse Wave Manifests Discrete Behavior when Coupled to Matter

卓冰 蒋

Quantum field theory describes the particle nature of electromagnetic radiation using the "photon," but has never explained why a fundamental particle exhibits such perfect wave behavior. This paper provides a complete alternative explanation: the photoelectric effect, Compton scattering, and antibunching experiments — landmark experiments considered proof of photon particle nature — require no photon concept. Quantization is not a property of light itself, but of the discrete energy level structure governing how bound electrons emit and absorb energy. Light remains a continuous transverse wave; discreteness results from electrons as "prisoners" in atomic "cages" that can only transition between specific energy steps. Waves propagate continuously and are emitted and absorbed in quantized form — the photon is not a particle, but the name of an energy-exchange event.

What Exactly Are Photons and Quanta?

Xiangqian Zhang, Yuchuan Xu

This paper investigates the essence of photons and quanta by reexamining the bottom layer meanings of the ultraviolet catastrophe, physical calculus, Planck constant, natural constant, energy frequency relation, photoelectric effect, Compton scattering, double slit interference, and wave particle duality. The paper argues that a quantum is not a tiny particle in the universe, and a photon is not a small ball flying through space. A quantum is a discrete fact manifested when the source endpoint opens a ledger and the receiving endpoint seals it under finite space unit refresh. A photon is the discrete readout formed when an open electromagnetic ledger is issued at the source endpoint or sealed at the receiving endpoint. In the Natural Origins framework, the root of the ultraviolet catastrophe is not the blackbody itself, but the mistaken treatment of mathematical infinitesimals as physical ontology. Space units possess finite elementary length and finite elementary frequency, and the speed of light comes from relay refresh of space units. Therefore, physical processes cannot be divided without limit into zero space and zero time. Planck constant is not an isolated patch, but the manifestation of a complete cycle action ledger. The proportional relation between energy and frequency comes from the rhythm readout by which a difference ledger drives elemental cells to complete ledger opening and sealing. The photoelectric effect shows that an open ledger must cross the material unsealing threshold by single unit energy, while Compton scattering shows that the open ledger and the closed electron ledger can reallocate their accounts. The paper further states that in double slit interference, what truly passes through the double slit is not a photon ball, but an open electromagnetic ledger. The double slit boundary rephases, reorganizes, and reissues the ledger, while screen elemental cells form bright and dark fringes according to ledger alignment and cancellation. So called wave particle duality is a misunderstanding caused by mixing the propagation layer with the settlement layer. The wave belongs to the geometric unfolding of the open ledger during propagation, while the particle belongs to the discrete fact formed after endpoint elemental cell sealing. The whole paper finally forms a unified chain: discrete ledger opening at the source endpoint, open propagation through space units, boundary reissuance, and discrete ledger sealing at the receiving endpoint. The propagation ledger only transmits without retaining, elemental cell sealing generates the quantum, and endpoint readout manifests as the photon.

Light Bubbles – The mechanical solution to wave-particle duality

Ukshin Q. Rexhepi

Within the framework of the Universal Quantum Foam Hypo- thesis (UQSH), radiation is not interpreted as the transport of discrete particles through empty space, but as a fieldmechanical excitation of a continuous, elastic medium. Light corresponds to the freely propagating boundary dynamics of this medium and expands isotropically as a spherical stress front. Emission is un- derstood as the local relaxation of previously bound field states, where energy is not carried by objects but transferred through successive reorganization of neighboring regions. To provide an intuitive description of this process, the concept of “Light Bubbles” is introduced. A Light Bubble denotes a spherically expanding field response whose propagation, interference, and detection are manifestations of continuous reorganization within the same me- dium. Phenomena such as interference, double-slit behavior, and apparent particle localization arise not from a wave-particle dua- lism, but from the combination of extended field oscillations and 1 localized coupling to material structures. Furthermore, it is shown how bound field nodes may emerge from freely propagating exci- tations through geometric self-organization. Matter thus appears as stabilized, locally circulating field motion, while radiation re- presents the limiting case of open propagation. Black holes are interpreted as highly saturated stress regimes in which bound states lose stability and convert into free relaxation modes. This approach provides a unified ontological description of radiation, matter, and gravitational boundary states as different organiza- tional forms of a single continuous field and offers a consistent alternative to particle-centered interpretations.
