Holographic Constraint Network Spectral Flow Program C: Spectral Entanglement Entropy and Holographic Area Law — The Ryu-Takayanagi Formula within the Constraint Network Framework
This paper encodes the subsystem entanglement structure of boundary conformal field theory into a weighted graph and defines the spectral entanglemententropy via the spectral theory of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map. Within the constraint network framework, a continuum limit and a mechanism for dimensionalemergence are introduced to establish a rigorous transition from discrete spectrato continuous holographic geometry. It is proved that, in the rigid limit, the spectral entanglement entropy strictly decomposes into the sum of a geometric areaterm and a topological correction term: the area term arises from a strictly positive lower bound on the spectral gap of the Dirichlet-to-Neumann map and ispinned by the curvature of the extremal surface; the topological correction termoriginates from the nullity of the coarse-grained rigid kernel, whose value is proportional to the absolute value of the Euler characteristic. It is further proved thatthe stability of a quantum extremal surface is equivalent to the algebraic connectivity of the quotient graph being strictly positive, a condition characterized bythe Fiedler value. This yields three testable predictions, encompassing a universal difference in the topological correction, multi-surface transitions for non-convexregions, and the finite-temperature spectral-gap scaling, and reveals a deep isomorphism with holographic quantum error correction. This framework unifies thegeometric origin, quantum corrections, and the recoverability of error correction ofthe Ryu-Takayanagi formula within a single spectral flow structure.

This paper unifies holographic quantum error-correcting codes, the internaldynamics of black holes, and the Einstein–Rosen bridge within a mathematicalframework centered on the category of constraint networks and spectral flow. Byencoding tensor networks as weighted hypergraphs and introducing a faithful functor, a strict duality between bulk spacetime geometry and boundary quantuminformation is established. In this framework, the code distance is determined bythe Cheeger isoperimetric lower bound and is shown to be equivalent to the invariant features of the Laplacian spectral flow under coarse-graining; black holeevaporation is described as a percolation phase transition caused by the failure ofinternal entanglement structures, where the failure of the condensation operatorautomatically triggers the splitting operator, leading to branching of quantum extremal surfaces and quantitative constraints on information release governed by theinformation conservation axiom; the formation of the ER bridge corresponds to atopological mutation induced by the rewiring functor, whose throat area is rigidlydetermined by the information-potential difference across the boundary and thenetwork compression ratio. The two axioms of information conservation and computability run throughout the entire treatment, reducing all geometric connectivitydecision problems to polynomial-time solvable graph algorithms. We further givespecific numerical predictions for the code-distance enhancement of non-Abeliansymmetric tensor networks, the acceleration of wormhole connectivity computability, and the critical behavior of the condensation–splitting phase transition, anddesign a simulation verification scheme independent of external datasets.
In this paper, we discover the topological quantization and phase transition mechanisms of holographic extremal surfaces in discrete tensor networks, providing a rigorous discrete dynamical benchmark for the proposition that "gravity is entanglement". Using a one-dimensional spin network with a fixed truncated hopping step k, we derive a rigorous analytical solution for the peak position of entanglement entropy, demonstrating that it is solely determined by the underlying connectivity step k. The perturbative phase diagram further reveals that this quantized gravity ladder is strongly protected by the topological gap below a critical perturbation V_c, exhibiting unique critical scaling behavior at the transition point. The fitted critical exponent beta approx 0.07 is significantly lower than the mean-field exponent of conventional phase transitions, revealing a unique "critical rigidity" characteristic of finite-size long-range topological networks. This model not only provides a rigorous graph-theoretical benchmark for a discrete analogue of the Ryu-Takayanagi area law but also, through the "geometric decoupling" mechanism, constructs an analytically solvable microscopic dynamical sandbox for the highly debated entanglement wedge disconnection in the black hole island formula.
Dual constraint entropy, as a natural emergence of the information cost ofnode condensation in constraint networks, provides a fine information-theoreticmetric connecting boundary entanglement structure and bulk geometry for holographic duality. Starting from the two axioms of information conservation andcomputability, this work establishes constraint networks as the discrete skeletonof the bulk-boundary correspondence, and proves that the dual constraint entropySdual = −lnTr(ρ2 A) is the inevitable information cost incurred when the node condensation operator is triggered at the information density threshold. In the HaPPYholographic error-correcting code, the area law Sdual(A) = Amin/αH + γ is rigorously derived, where the effective holographic parameter αH = a/ln2 is uniquelydetermined by the lattice spacing and the fundamental unit of information, eliminating the free parameter nature of Newton’s constant. It is further proved thatwhen the subsystem dimension is no less than 3, dual constraint entropy can distinguish pure states that have identical von Neumann entropy but different entanglement distribution structures, revealing its sensitivity to the kurtosis of theSchmidt spectrum. The analysis of fluctuation scaling ∆Sdual ∼ √lndA in completely random tensor networks provides an information-theoretic interpretationof holographic quantum corrections and yields testable numerical predictions. Thecorrespondence between the information density gradient in the discrete-continuumlimit and bulk curvature is formulated as the constraint network coarse-grainingconjecture, charting the direction for a microscopic mechanism of gravity emergingfrom quantum information.
Standard Ryu-Takayanagi (RT) bounds and Multiscale Entanglement Renormalization Ansatz (MERA) networks assume a costless, unitary mapping between continuous bulk geometry and discrete boundary information. In this Letter, we show that projecting continuous bulk fields into discrete boundary states introduces a mandatory topological phase-space friction governed by the Euler-Mascheroni constant γ. Normalizing this harmonic discretization residue across the geometric capacity of a two-dimensional boundary yields the exact holographic delamination invariant, Λ2=exp(γ/π2)≈1.060228. By demonstrating that discrete MERA layer scaling is the exact mathematical dual to the logarithmic AdS radial measure, we prove this additive topological penalty exponentiates into a strict multiplicative scaling of thermodynamic work. We construct non-unitary dissipative MERA disentangler operators (Υ^) that enforce a factorization bound on accessible boundary entropy Sacc. Acting as a covariant topological scalar, this invariant preserves the Equivalence Principle while establishing a fundamental thermodynamic and semantic limit on holographic state projection.
One of the boldest ideas in modern physics is that space itself is a kind of error-correcting code. In this picture the interior of a region of spacetime is like a message, and the surface surrounding it is an encoded copy that stores the message redundantly, so that losing part of the surface need not lose the interior. A celebrated formula from holography then says something unexpected: the amount of entanglement carried by a boundary region equals the area of a surface reaching into the interior. This paper gives a complete, elementary proof that this area law is not an extra assumption bolted on by hand, but an unavoidable consequence of the code structure itself. The geometry is simply bookkeeping for redundancy. The derivation reduces a statement about gravity to plain facts about entanglement and about the algebra of operations one can perform on the encoded information. It establishes four things, each from scratch. First, in the simplest case it recovers the area law directly: the entanglement of a boundary region is a fixed geometric term plus the entanglement of whatever the interior itself carries. Second, it proves a symmetry that had previously been handled case by case, namely that a pure joint state assigns the same entanglement to a region and to its complement, and it proves this in full generality using a single clean identity about matrices. Third, it extends the area law to the realistic situation in which the code splits into separate sectors, each carrying its own independent area, so that the geometric term is not a single number but a genuine operator averaged over the sectors. Fourth, it proves the structural fact the whole picture rests on: the algebra of logical operations always decomposes cleanly into independent blocks, which is exactly the sector structure the area law needs. That last step comes down to one small analytic fact, that a matrix which is symmetric in the appropriate sense and also nilpotent must be zero, and the paper proves it directly. A companion result closes the reconstruction side of the story, showing that the operations recoverable from a boundary region are precisely those left untouched by the coarse-graining onto sectors, and that the coarse-grained state already reproduces every such measurement. Every step is elementary and self-contained, and the entire logical core has a companion version reconstructed inside a machine proof assistant, checked line by line with no gaps and resting only on the standard axioms of mathematics. The upshot is that a piece of geometry, an area, can be read off from nothing more than how redundantly a code stores its information. None of the underlying mathematics is new; it traces back to established results on holographic codes, to the entropy formula itself, and to the century-old classification of matrix algebras. What is new is the assembly: a short, honest, self-contained line of reasoning that turns a claim about spacetime into a handful of reusable facts about entropy and matrices, with every link exposed and checkable. Where the picture still reaches past what has been proved, in particular the finer tensor structure hidden inside each sector, the paper marks the boundary plainly instead of hiding it.
We establish a quantitative equivalence between the holographic duality of theAdS/CFT correspondence and the theory of quantum error-correcting codes (QECC).By identifying the code subspace with the low-energy bulk effective field theoryand the physical Hilbert space with the boundary CFT, we show that the RyuTakayanagi formula for entanglement entropy directly determines the code distanced —the minimal weight of an undetectable error. We prove a holographic Hammingbound: d ≤ Area(γmin)/(4Gℏln2), with equality for perfect tensor networks. Thegravitational constant G thus quantifies the error-correcting capacity of spacetime.A testable prediction is derived: the code distance for a black hole horizon saturates the bound, explaining the unitarity of Hawking evaporation as a property of amaximum-distance separable code. We further show that the entanglement wedgereconstruction theorem is equivalent to the Knill–Laflamme conditions for QECC
