Robust control and preservation of quantum steering, nonlocality, and coherence in open atomic systems

K. Berrada, Abdelaziz Sabik

Abstract We investigate the robustness of Einstein–Podolsky–Rosen (EPR) steering, nonlocality, and quantum coherence in a bipartite atomic system coupled to cavity fields under the influence of decoherence. The system consists of two non-interacting atoms, where each atom is confined within a cavity that interacts with another cavity field, which plays a crucial role in governing the dynamical evolution of two atoms. Through a combination of analytical and numerical investigations, we demonstrate that quantum steering, Bell nonlocality, and coherence can be not only preserved but also enhanced by appropriately tuning the cavity–cavity interaction strength, effectively mitigating environmental decoherence and extending the coherence lifetime of the system. Our results reveal that, under optimal conditions, steering, nonlocality, and coherence remain resilient against decoherence over extended timescales. These findings offer valuable insights into the controlled manipulation of quantum resources in open quantum systems and have significant implications for quantum information processing and secure communication technologies.

Enhanced quantum nonlocality induced by the memory of a thermal-squeezed environment

Po‐Wen Chen, Md. Manirul Ali, Shiaw-Huei Chen

Abstract We investigate the transient non-Markovian dynamics of quantum nonlocality for a pair of two-level atoms coupled to a common thermal-squeezed environment. We use Bell-CHSH inequality, steering inequality, and entanglement as theoretical tools to investigate the nonlocality dynamics. We see significant differences between the non-Markovian nonlocality dynamics and its Markovian counterpart. We mainly focus on quantum steering nonlocality which has gained much interest recently. An enhanced quantum nonlocality is shown through the violation of steering inequality and entanglement in the non-Markovian regime of the structured environment. A close correspondence is shown between steering nonlocality and entanglement dynamics.

Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen Steering and Nonlocality in Open Quantum Systems

Abdelaziz Sabik

We investigate the dynamical behavior of quantum steering (QS), Bell nonlocality, and entanglement in open quantum systems. We focus on a two-qubit system evolving within the framework of Kossakowski-type quantum dynamical semigroups. Our findings reveal that the measures of quantumness for the asymptotic states rely on the primary parameter of the quantum model. Furthermore, control over these measures can be achieved through a careful selection of these parameters. Our analysis encompasses various cases, including Bell states, Werner states, and Horodecki states, demonstrating that the asymptotic states can exhibit steering, entanglement, and Bell nonlocality. Additionally, we find that these three quantum measures of correlations can withstand the influence of the environment, maintaining their properties even over extended periods.
