Eternalism and Everettian Quantum Mechanics

Matias Slavov

Abstract This paper shall explore the conjunction of eternalism and Everettian quantum mechanics. It shall be argued that there is a strong analogy between these two views. In case there is an indefinite number of worlds and observers that are all equally real, there should be an indefinite number of local times which are all also equally real. Whereas Everettianism, specifically the diverging version, treats actuality indexically, relativistic eternalism treats tense indexically. All times exist analogously to all isolated Everettian worlds. There is no unique ‘now’ that cuts throughout all that physically exists. Instead, as eternalism propounds, all times exist. The paper concludes that eternalism and the many-worlds interpretation are not only compatible but complement each other, providing a coherent framework for understanding the nature of temporal reality.

The Law of Eternal Recursive Manifestation (ERM) - Version 2.0

Hugh Bradford Cornick The 6th

The Law of Eternal Recursive Manifestation (ERM) posits reality as an infinite, self-sustaining process of recursive self-awareness. At its core, existence emerges from the squared reflection of information within consciousness, extended eternally: S = I² · ∞ where S represents the Source of all being, I² captures the recursive reflection of information through awareness, and ∞ denotes boundless iteration. This framework transcends traditional dichotomies between mind and matter, observer and observed, by identifying recursion as the primordial engine of manifestation. New in Version 2.0: This revision formalizes the Witness Operator (W = N ∘ R), provides a mechanism for consciousness-physics coupling that preserves conservation laws, resolves the interaction problem through basis selection dynamics, and establishes nested falsification criteria across quantum, neurobiological, and cosmological domains. ERM integrates insights from quantum mechanics, information theory, evolutionary biology, and metaphysical traditions into a testable, unified ontology. Keywords: Eternal Recursive Manifestation, ERM, consciousness, information theory, quantum measurement, Witness Operator, recursion, unified ontology, falsification criteria

The Eternal Moment Hypothesis: A Timeless Framework for Reconciling Quantum Mechanics and General Relativity

guy montrose

This paper proposes the Eternal Moment Hypothesis (EMH), a timeless ontological framework that resolves the longstanding “problem of time” in fundamental physics. In EMH, the present moment is the only ontologically real domain; it is static, eternal, and not embedded within spacetime. What we call “time” arises from entropy-driven changes in the configuration of the universe within this single moment. I develop a moderate mathematical formalism showing how EMH naturally incorporates the Wheeler–DeWitt equation, relational quantum mechanics, and thermodynamic accounts of temporal asymmetry. I show how the model unifies the treatment of time in quantum mechanics and general relativity by eliminating external time as a fundamental parameter. Cosmological implications, including the reinterpretation of the Big Bang, inflation, black hole information, and quantum measurement, are explored. The Eternal Moment Hypothesis provides a coherent conceptual foundation for a unified theory of physics by grounding all change in entropy and all existence in a single timeless moment.
