Squeezing enhanced nonreciprocal quantum correlations via Barnett effect

Cavity optomagnonic platforms offer a promising route for exploring quantum phenomena, particularly quantum correlations, which are vital resources for modern quantum technologies. Here, we propose a theoretical scheme for achieving nonreciprocal quantum correlations such as entanglement, and quantum discord via Barnett effect in a molecular-optomagnonical system, where a yttrium iron garnet sphere is placed in a microwave cavity that is hosting molecules. We show optimal parameter regimes for achieving nonreciprocal quantum correlations through Barnett effect. The generated entanglements are robust against thermal fluctuations, persisting even at high temperatures. Our scheme suggests a new tool for engineering noise-tolerant quantum correlations, and paves a way toward realizing novel nonreciprocal quantum devices by integrating magnons with molecular ensembles.

Remote nonreciprocal magnon magnon entanglement via the Barnett effect with coherent feedback

Jinhao Jia, Yingyu Li, Ran Liang +3 more

We propose a scheme for generating and controlling remote nonreciprocal magnon--magnon entanglement in a cavity magnonic system with coherent feedback. The two microwave cavities are driven by independent single-mode squeezed vacuum fields, with a rotating YIG sphere in the left cavity and a stationary one in the right cavity. For a fixed rotation direction, reversing the bias magnetic field applied to the rotating sphere changes the sign of the Barnett shift, leading to nonreciprocal magnon--magnon entanglement. By tuning the cavity detuning and feedback phase, entanglement can be generated for one direction of the bias magnetic field while it vanishes for the opposite direction, yielding complete nonreciprocity. Coherent feedback enhances the entanglement at an appropriate reflectivity, whereas stronger feedback can reduce it. The relative squeezing phase provides additional control, and an appropriate choice of unequal squeezing factors improves the entanglement at fixed total input photon occupation. With the squeezed inputs kept fixed, moderate feedback also increases the critical temperature for magnon entanglement. Our results provide a controllable approach to preparing remote nonreciprocal quantum correlations in cavity magnonic systems.

Barnett effect boosted nonreciprocal entanglement and EPR-steering in magnomechanics in the presence of coherent feedback loop

Noura Chabar, Mohamed Amazioug

We propose an experimental scheme for enhancing entanglement, achieving asymmetric Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen (EPR) steering, and creating nonreciprocal quantum correlations within a hybrid system. This system integrates a yttrium iron garnet (YIG) sphere, which exhibits magnon-phonon coupling via magnetostriction, with a silica sphere featuring optomechanical whispering-gallery modes. By tuning the Barnett effect through the magnetic field direction, our system enables controllable asymmetric EPR steering and nonreciprocal entanglement between both directly and indirectly coupled modes. We demonstrate that adjusting the reflectivity of a beam splitter can boost stationary quantum steering and entanglement, effectively countering thermal noise. This approach allows for the generation of multipartite entanglement and both one-way and two-way steering. The proposed system is experimentally feasible and holds significant promise for various quantum information applications.
