Bio-Coherence Modulation of Quantum Probability Amplitudes in Orch-OR: A Testable Hypothesis and Multi-Tier Open Replication Protocol

Abstract

This paper proposes a falsifiable interdisciplinary hypothesis linking measurable psychophysiological alignment with emerging findings in quantum biology and Feynman’s path-integral formulation of quantum electrodynamics (QED). Under instrument-verified optimal conditions (HRV coherence, EEG alpha facilitation, and embodied success recall), deliberate phase-locking of six bio-variables conducted through the CNS is hypothesized to bias probability amplitudes and objective-reduction thresholds in microtubule networks via Orch-OR. A phenomenological toy simulation illustrates potential constructive interference under idealized alignment. The core contribution is the first multi-tier, IRB-ready, within-subject crossover replication protocol explicitly designed for immediate independent testing (Tier 1 uses only standard HRV + EEG equipment). All code, data, materials, screening instruments, and analysis scripts are openly archived and pre-registered on OSF to support broad replication and adversarial collaboration.

A Unified Multi-Scale Architecture of Consciousness: Integrating Orchestrated Objective Reduction, Quantum Coherence Modulation, and Classical Neuroscience

Anthony L Perry

Contemporary consciousness science confronts profound theoretical fragmentation. Quantum theories of consciousness (particularly Orchestrated Objective Reduction, (Orch-OR), quantum biology frameworks (coherence modulation in biological systems), and classical neuroscience approaches (Global Neuronal Workspace, Integrated Information Theory) have developed largely in isolation, often viewed as mutually exclusive competitors rather than potentially complementary descriptions of a multi-scale phenomenon. This fragmentation has impeded scientific progress and fostered unproductive debates. We argue that this apparent conflict stems from a failure to recognize that these theories operate at fundamentally different spatiotemporal scales and address qualitatively distinct aspects of the consciousness problem. Objectives: This paper presents the first comprehensive, empirically testable synthesis of these approaches within a unified five-layer hierarchical architecture. Our primary objectives are: (1) to demonstrate that quantum foundations (Orch-OR), quantum coherence modulation, and classical neural computation are complementary rather than competing; (2) to derive explicit mathematical transduction mechanisms linking adjacent scales; (3) to resolve the decoherence objection through rigorous quantum simulations calibrated against photosynthetic systems; and (4) to generate specific, falsifiable predictions that distinguish this unified framework from its component theories. Methods: We formalize transduction mechanisms between adjacent hierarchical scales using first-principles physics, statistical mechanics, and network theory. We derive quantitative coupling constants—most notably the “Perry Constant” (κ)—that govern quantum-to-classical information transfer. We conduct quantum Monte Carlo simulations of coherence dynamics calibrated against empirical measurements from photosynthetic light-harvesting complexes, demonstrating realistic protection mechanisms against thermal decoherence. We develop detailed experimental pro-tocols integrating nitrogen-vacancy (NV) center quantum sensing, multi-electrode array electrophysiology, and consciousness assessment methodologies.

NQOT Paper III — Empirical Validation of the NQOT Framework: A Six-Protocol Study Design for Observer-Differentiated Collapse, Zero-Point Field Coupling, and Transgenerational Coherence

Rogelio Alejandro Henríquez Lepillán

The Newen Quantum Observer Theory (NQOT) and its Observer-Differentiated Collapse (ODC) extension of Orch OR generate falsifiable predictions about quantum mechanical correlates of consciousness. Translation of these predictions into experimental science requires methodological precision, statistical rigor, and ethical safeguards appropriate to a multi-modal research program. This Study Protocol Paper specifies the complete experimental architecture for testing six core predictions of the NQOT framework across three research phases. Each protocol is presented with a priori statistical power calculations, pre-registered analytical plans, ethical protocols following indigenous research methodologies (Smith 2021, OCAP principles, UNDRIP), equipment specifications, phased budget estimates, and quantitative evaluation criteria within a Lakatosian research program framework. Phase A (foundation) validates the C(psi_obs) coherence estimator from 256-channel EEG data and establishes a cross-cultural ZPF baseline across five ancestral traditions. Phase B (core NQOT) tests observer-modulated quantum collapse via QRNG deviation studies and microtubule superradiance under ancestral practice conditions. Phase C (Küpan predictions) tests inter-observer coherence scaling with genealogical distance via dual-EEG hyperscanning, and conducts a randomized clinical trial of the Guardián del Linaje protocol against MBSR controls. Sample sizes range from n=24 to n=240, derived from a priori power calculations targeting effect sizes documented in prior literature (Cohen's d = 0.8 from Ferrarelli et al. 2013) at power 0.80 and alpha 0.05. Total budget USD 1.85M across 36 months, structured for phased fundraising: Phase A USD 525,000 as fundable first stage. Open science commitments include pre-registration on OSF (osf.io/a5me2, DOI: 10.17605/OSF.IO/A5ME2), code repository on GitHub, and anonymized data on Zenodo under embargoed open access. The framework follows Lakatosian methodology: a hard core of foundational commitments (Newen, Küpan, ZPF substrate) developed through a protective belt of operational predictions that evolve with empirical evidence.

High-Coherence Physiological States Modulate Quantum Collapse Probabilities: Experimental Protocol (Glyph E)

Aaron Farris

This work presents a formal experimental protocol and test framework for evaluating whether physiological coherence variables correlate with quantum collapse probability under controlled conditions. The document does not report completed human experimentation. Instead, it specifies hypotheses, measurable variables, instrumentation requirements, and statistical evaluation criteria intended for independent replication, simulation, or institutional review. No commercial system is described. References to “Fieldborne OS” are symbolic labels for coherence-state configurations and do not represent an implemented product. This record is released to support open scientific scrutiny, preregistration-style analysis, and third-party validation.

Quantum consciousness revisited: a review of Orch OR and an introduction to the Quantum Cognition Gradient

Logan Piñeiro, Lily Read

Despite centuries of scientific inquiry, the origin of human consciousness, characterized by self-awareness and the presence of qualia, remains one of the deepest mysteries in neuroscience. Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch OR), as proposed by Roger Penrose and Stuart Hameroff, posits that consciousness arises from the objective reduction of quantum superpositions within entangled neural microtubules, triggered by gravitational self-energy. Recent theoretical and biophysical studies have renewed interest in quantum coherence in biological systems, including terahertz vibrational measurements, advances in quantum biology, and computational modeling of microtubule dynamics. This review synthesizes these developments and examines major critiques of Orch OR, particularly the challenge of maintaining quantum coherence in warm, wet biological environments. It further introduces the Quantum Cognition Gradient (QCG), a phenomenological, heuristic framework that extends Orch OR by proposing a scalable relationship between cognitive complexity and the formation, persistence, and coordination of quantum-coherent microtubule states prior to objective reduction, while leaving the underlying Diósi–Penrose collapse mechanism unchanged. Finally, several experimental strategies, including terahertz spectroscopy, entanglement-detection assays, interferometric microscopy, and neuromodulatory perturbation studies, are outlined as potential approaches for empirically evaluating predictions of both Orch OR and the QCG framework. By integrating contemporary developments in quantum biology with a quantitative conceptual framework, this review presents Orch OR and the proposed QCG as testable, hypothesis-generating models for investigating the possible relationship between quantum processes and consciousness.

Quantum Coherence in Microtubules: Testing Orch-OR via Entanglement and Geometric Constraints — E8 Intelligence Research
