Mass as Observer: A Self-Consistent Explanation of Schrödinger's Cat Paradox in Time Field Theory

Abstract

This paper provides a self-consistent explanation of Schrödinger's Cat paradox within the framework of Time Field Theory (TFT). Starting from the axioms of conservation of local intrinsic total speed and spacetime flux conservation, TFT derives the core proposition: Mass as Observer. A massive entity carries its own local time benchmark and possesses the definitional power of physical quantities, while the wavefunction serves only as a background probability description without definitional power. In the Schrödinger’s Cat setup, the cat, Geiger counter, and poison bottle are natural observers; once the radioactive atom couples to the counter, its state is locked to a definite value, so the cat’s life or death is determined before the box is opened. The paradox arises from inverted definitional priority: using a massless background to describe a massive observer. TFT unifies the description of gravity and quantum measurement within flat Euclidean space, without introducing consciousness, parallel worlds, or hidden variables.

Wave Function as the Measurability Probability Amplitude of the Time Field: A First-Principles Self-Consistent Interpretation of the Schrödinger Equation and Quantum Measurement Problem in the TFT Framework

Huowang Huang

The century-long conflict between quantum mechanics and general relativity is essentially a dispute over the definition of the fundamental measurement benchmark of the universe. Quantum mechanics treats time as an absolute external background, while general relativity regards mass as the measurement benchmark of curved spacetime. The two theories cannot be self-consistently unified under extreme conditions. Based on the core axiomatic system of Time Field Theory (TFT), this paper proposes a first-principles self-consistent interpretation of quantum mechanics: the wave function is neither the physical reality of a particle nor an encoding of our knowledge, but the probability amplitude for the time field to condense mass at a spatial point and thereby establish a measurement benchmark; the Schrödinger equation is the evolution law of the measurability probability amplitude of the time field in the uniform γ=1 background; wave function collapse corresponds to a physical phase transition of the time field from a uniform state to a locally condensed state, and the observer is essentially a massive entity with intrinsic time flow. This interpretation requires no assumptions of external observers, many worlds, or hidden variables, naturally unifies the quantum and classical worlds, and is fully compatible with all known experimental results in the weak-field low-speed limit, providing a completely new metrological foundation for the problem of quantum gravity.

Schrodinger’s Cat and Gravitational Waves

Eran Sinbar

Schrodinger’s cat describes a paradox in which a cat is located in a sealed black box with a poison sealed capsule inside it. Radioactive source decays and emits radiation, which activates a Geiger counter, The Geiger counter generates a signal to release poison from the capsule and kill the cat. Since the decay of a radioactive source is a random sub atomic event, based on quantum mechanics we can only derive a probability-based assumption on the exact time that the decay of the radioactive atom will occur. The Copenhagen interpretation says that until an observer opens the box, the entire system is in superposition and the cat is both dead and alive. In this paper, I will show that we can extrapolate this superposition of the wave function to entropy level, to the fabric of space – time, to the information paradox of black holes, new dimensions and to the multiverse theory.

Time Field Theory: A Classical Field Interpretation of Quantum Uncertainty and Measurement

Huowang Huang

Within the axiomatic framework of Time Field Theory (TFT), this paper provides a classical field interpretation for the core features of quantum mechanics. We demonstrate the intrinsic equivalence between rest mass and the capability of defining local spacetime benchmarks, and introduce the dimensionless quantity α = 1−γ to characterize observer strength. The covariant dynamical equation of observer strength is established from the TFT field equation. Based on time-field fluctuation analysis, we derive a benchmark-induced uncertainty contribution, which is treated as a gravitational correction to the conventional quantum uncertainty relation. A classical ergodic statistical picture is proposed to interpret quantum probability, and the process of measurement and decoherence is described as dynamical stabilization of the time field under macroscopic mass disturbance. This work does not introduce any quantum mechanical postulates, wavefunctions or Hilbert space structures. It offers a self-consistent deterministic perspective to understand quantum phenomena without contradicting existing quantum formalism.

Schrodinger’s Cat in the Time Domain

Time Field Theory XVIII: Quantum Measurement, Phase Locking, and the Dynamical Origin of Wavefunction Collapse

Huowang Huang

This paper is a direct, complete, and self-contained continuation of the Time Field Theory (TFT) framework established in Parts I, II, and III. Based on the fast–slow oscillation decomposition of the time field γ derived in TFT III, we provide a full dynamical explanation for quantum measurement and the so-called wavefunction collapse without introducing nonlocality, hidden variables, superluminal effects, or ad hoc quantum postulates. We show that quantum measurement is fundamentally phase locking between the high-frequency time oscillation of a macroscopic observer and the low-frequency time oscillation of a microscopic particle. Crucially, this mechanism is identified as a natural extension of special relativity to the temporal structure of matter, based on the principle of relative states. Wavefunction collapse is not a mysterious projection, but a dynamical localization effect caused by the extreme frequency mismatch between massive observer systems and light microscopic systems. The mechanism of entanglement is explained as conserved common phase splitting from a single source. Bell experiments are interpreted locally and causally via phase locking and relative states. This work eliminates the measurement problem, explains the origin of quantum randomness, and completes the causal, realistic, local interpretation of quantum mechanics within the unified TFT framework.

Schrodinger's Cat is not Alone

Beatriz Gato-rivera A

We introduce the `Complete Wave Function' and deduce that all living beings, not just Schroedinger's cat, are actually described by a superposition of `alive' and `dead' quantum states; otherwise they would never die. Therefore this proposal provides a quantum mechanical explanation to the world-wide observation that we all pass away. Next we consider the Measurement problem in the framework of M-theory. For this purpose, together with Schroedinger's cat we also place inside the box Rasputin's cat, which is unaffected by poison. We analyse the system identifying its excitations (catons and catinos) and we discuss its evolution: either to a classical fight or to a quantum entanglement. We also propose the $BSV\Psi$ scenario, which implements the Complete Wave Function as well as the Big Bang and the String Landscape in a very (super)natural way. Then we test the gravitational decoherence of the entangled system applying an experimental setting due to Galileo. We also discuss the Information Loss paradox. For this purpose we consider a massless black cat falling inside a massive black hole. After that we outline a method to compute the contribution of black cats to the dark matter of the universe. Finally, in the spirit of Schroedinger, we propose that next generation double-slit experiments should use cats as projectiles. Cat interferometry will inevitably lead to the `Many Cats' interpretation of Quantum Mechanics, allowing to shed new light on old mysteries and paradoxes. For example, according to this interpretation, conservative estimates show that decision making of a single domestic cat will create about 550 billion whole universes every day, with as many replicas of itself.
