Quantum-Driven Healthcare IoT (QH-IoT)

Aishani Singh, Shriya Kaushal, Shobhita Singh

QIoT which is quantum IoT integrates quantum devices to the IoT devices to transform healthcare by increasing diagnostic capabilities, secure communication and data processing capabilities. In this review, we discuss the potential use of QIoT in quantum sensing, communication, computing, and imaging applications. Quantum sensors are used for microfluidics, magnetic resonance imaging and remote sensing as well as early disease diagnosis while quantum communications uses Quantum Key Distribution and cryptography for secure data transmission. Quantum computing drives drugs development, genetic testing and clinical workflows and quantum imaging enhances medical imaging and non-invasive diagnosis. It also presents advantages, challenges and future of QIoT in the area of health care as a concept in the paper.

The Impact of Quantum Technologies in the IoT Sector

Otto Menegasso Pires, Yan Alef Chagas Silva, André Saimon Santos Sousa +1 more

The Internet of Things (IoT) has emerged as an innovative framework, connecting physical devices into intricate networks that monitor and control various aspects of daily life. While traditional technologies such as big data analytics and cloud computing have driven the growth of IoT, the emergence of quantum technologies, spanning quantum computing, quantum communication, and quantum sensing, presents unprecedented opportunities to enhance IoT systems. This paper explores the realistic potential and challenges of integrating quantum technologies into IoT, emphasizing the need for a nuanced understanding of what quantum technologies can achieve to bridge the gap between promise and practical application. By fostering collaboration between disciplines, quantum technologies can shape the future of IoT, improving its security, efficiency, and precision.

A Survey on Quantum Computing for Internet of Things Security

Diksha Chawla, Pawan Singh Mehra

Quantum computing, based on quantum mechanical principle, can potentially provide significant advantages over classical computing. This advantage of quantum computing provides solutions to many previously unsolvable problems in secure communication and finance. IoT is an emerging technology that deals with a large amount of data. The data communicated in IoT need to be secured. The existing security architecture of IoT is based on cryptographic algorithms such as RSA and ECC. Quantum computing had a significant impact on the security of these algorithms. Therefore, our work analyses the security concerns of IoT smart applications and quantum-based solutions. This article provides a survey of quantum computing fundamentals and the impact of quantum computing on IoT security. Thus, this paper aims to provide a wide view of quantum-enabled IoT communication. The main challenges in implementing quantum-enabled communication are also analyzed in our work.
