Optimal query distribution in information systems plays a crucial role in minimizing delays, balancing workload, and ensuring system stability. Considering multi-factor parameters such as server capacity, network latency, and service rate, the fuzzy logic approach proves effective in handling uncertainty during decision-making. However, an increase in the number of linguistic variables leads to exponential growth of the fuzzy rule base, thereby increasing computational complexity and limiting real-time performance. Traditional optimization methods, including genetic algorithms, are constrained by slow convergence and a tendency to fall into local extrema in large search spaces. This paper proposes a multi-objective quantum optimization approach aimed at reducing the number of fuzzy rules in query distribution processes. By applying Grover's quantum algorithm, the search for optimal rules is significantly accelerated, and the search space is significantly reduced. Experimental results demonstrate reduced response time and improved load balancing. The proposed approach is evaluated as a promising quantum-intelligent mechanism for enhancing load management efficiency in cloud computing environments.

As the cloud BI platforms (business intelligence) are rapidly evolving, the need to process queries more efficiently, especially when handling large and complex data has also increased. The classic optimization approaches can be scalability issues and may lead to increased latency and resources consumption. This work's idea on cloud BI is the hybrid model using quantum computing algorithms related to classical query execution pipelines to make it more efficient in decision making and improve the performance of the cloud query execution. The proposed framework is quantum inspired search query execution plan evaluation and quantum inspired parallelism searching which can search out the cost effective query execution plan construction for evaluation in a short time interval and is transparent in preserving the accuracy. It consists of three major components: Quantum Query Analyser, which is used to convert queries from complex SQL to representations that can be executed by the quantum algorithms; Hybrid Optimisation Engine which uses quantum algorithms and classical heuristics to suggest on how to optimise the query; Adaptive Resource Manager which dynamically allocates cloud resources based on the output from the optimisation step. A benchmark of experiments on standard data sets demonstrates that the query throughput can be improved by up to 40%–55% with reduced memory and CPU use with the quantum-accelerated approach when compared to state-of-the- art classical optimizers. It can also be configured as a multi-tenant cloud setup, ensuring security and scalability with minimal interruptions between different workloads. These outcomes demonstrate that the algorithms used in quantum computing can also be employed with current cloud based BI systems and suggests that quantum computing may be able to become a useful means to more quickly and efficiently perform analytics in Enterprise systems.
As edge cloud environments become increasingly complex, efficient service management requires advanced orchestration strategies that can handle diverse and dynamic network conditions. In this paper, we present a novel quantum-based orchestration framework that leverages quantum search algorithm (Grover in particular) to optimize the management of services within the edge cloud continuum. We present a multi-objective optimization model that considers critical factors such as latency, bandwidth, reliability, and error minimization, and formulate the problem mathematically to capture the complexity of modern network environments. Through both analytical comparisons and simulation results, we show that the Grover algorithm can offer computational advantages over classical search methods, especially in scenarios on cases when the parameter space is very large. Our results include a detailed analysis of theoretical computational complexity, an estimate of execution times, and the identification of crossover points where quantum methods outperform traditional approaches. Finally, we provide insight into the challenges and future directions of integrating quantum computing into network management frameworks, setting the stage for further progress in this area.
Cloud computing has become an integral part of modern information technology infrastructure, providing scalability and flexibility to meet the demands of various applications. However, ensuring high availability and fault tolerance in cloud services is crucial for maintaining uninterrupted operations. Load balancing plays a vital role in distributing traffic efficiently across multiple servers to avoid overload and minimize service disruptions. Existing load balancing techniques require help to adapt to dynamic workloads, making them less reliable in cloud environments. Quantum computing handles complex optimization problems and offers a promising avenue for enhancing load balancing in the cloud. This research explores the concept of Fault-Tolerant Load Balancing (FTLB) in cloud computing with the integration of quantum computing. It investigates how quantum algorithms can optimize load-balancing decisions in real-time, considering dynamic workloads and server failures– the proposed novel quantum-load balancing (NQ-LB) algorithm designed to improve fault tolerance and resource utilization. The study employs a comparative analysis, evaluating the performance of the quantum-inspired load-balancing approach against classical load-balancing methods. We consider factors such as response time, resource allocation, fault tolerance, and scalability in a cloud computing environment. The results reveal the potential benefits of quantum computing in achieving fault-tolerant load balancing, particularly in scenarios with rapidly changing workloads and server failures. This research contributes to the advancement of cloud computing by harnessing the capabilities of quantum computing to enhance fault tolerance and load balancing. The findings can have implications for industries that rely on highly available cloud services, offering a more resilient infrastructure for critical applications.
The integration of quantum computing into multi-cloud environments represents a transformative paradigm in distributed computing, offering substantial improvements in computational efficiency, security resilience, and adaptive workload orchestration. However, the heterogeneous nature of cloud infrastructures, combined with the nascent and resource-sensitive characteristics of quantum systems, introduces significant architectural, operational, and security challenges. This paper proposes an optimized quantum computing integration approach designed specifically for multi-cloud ecosystems, emphasizing scalable architecture design, intelligent workload distribution, and enhanced cryptographic security mechanisms. The study synthesizes foundational quantum computing principles with contemporary multi-cloud orchestration strategies to develop a hybrid architectural framework. The proposed model leverages quantum-enhanced optimization techniques, including quantum approximate optimization principles, to dynamically allocate computational tasks across distributed cloud nodes. Additionally, it integrates quantum-safe security protocols to mitigate emerging cyber threats in cloud environments. Prior research highlights the relevance of such integration, particularly in solving complex optimization problems and enhancing system-level security (Brown & White, 2022; Cao et al., 2020).A structured literature synthesis reveals that while cloud computing and quantum computing have individually matured, their convergence remains underexplored in practical deployment contexts. This paper addresses this gap by introducing an architecture that supports adaptive workload balancing, quantum-classical hybrid execution layers, and secure inter-cloud communication channels. The findings indicate that quantum-enhanced orchestration can significantly reduce computational latency and improve resource utilization efficiency in multi-cloud systems.

The cloud computing field suffers from the heavy processing caused by the exponentially increasing data traffic. Therefore, optimizing the network performance and achieving a better quality of service (QoS) became a central goal. In cloud computing, the problem of energy consumption of resource distribution management system (RDMS) is presented as an optimization problem. Most of the existing classical optimization approaches, such as heuristic and metaheuristic have high computational complexity. In this work, we proposed a quantum optimization strategy that executes the tasks exponentially faster and with high accuracy named constrained quantum optimization algorithm (CQOA). We exploit the CQOA in RDMS as a toy example for pointing out the efficiency of the proposed quantum strategy in reducing energy consumption and computational complexity. Following that, we investigate the CQOA's implementation, setup, and computational complexity. Finally, we create a simulation environment to evaluate the efficiency of the suggested implemented constrained quantum strategy.
