Abstract

WITHDRAWAL / SUPERSESSION NOTICE (2026-05-31). Subsumed and refined by the canonical ANCHOR §11 black-hole paper (`updated_black_hole.tex`), which incorporates the firewall-resolution mechanism into a broader operator-algebra closure with KMS-derived Hawking temperature, monogamy-firewall horizon, condensate-core interior, and bulk-boundary scale separation. Current canonical version: doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.20478667. The AMPS firewall paradox [1] arises from three quantum-mechanical statements that are jointly required by standard physics for old black holes but mutually inconsistent: uni- tarity (information conservation), the equivalence principle in its quantum form (vacuum at the horizon), and monogamy of entanglement. Standard resolutions either weaken one of these or invoke complementarity / ER=EPR redundancy without specifying a concrete mechanism. We propose, building on the quantum-error-correcting substrate framework [6, 7, 8], that horizons are 2D surfaces of high stabilizer-measurement activity on the Trun- cated Cubic Honeycomb (TCH) substrate, structurally distinct from bulk vacuum but non- destructive (QND) at the quantum level. This proposal weakens the strong quantum form of the equivalence principle while preserving its geometric form, in a manner that is specific and physically motivated rather than ad-hoc. We identify three explicit derivations that would constitute a complete resolution: a derivation of horizon dynamics from substrate properties; an explicit isometry between interior and exterior mode-encodings establishing QEC redundancy; and recovery of Hawking’s thermal spectrum from substrate dynamics. The framework’s structural ingredients are laid out as a basis for these derivations. We do not claim the firewall paradox is resolved; we claim the framework provides specific tools that may resolve it, and that the proposed mechanism is structurally motivated rather than chosen to match desired outcomes.

Entanglement at the Saturation Boundary: Resolving the AMPS Paradox Without Firewalls, Nonlocal Signaling, or Violations of Monogamy

Mark Edwards

This paper resolves the AMPS paradox by identifying a single structural assumption inherited from semiclassical quantum field theory: the infalling mode is treated as a valid degree of freedom at the horizon. In the informational framework, this assumption fails because the horizon is a saturation boundary where the channel C(x) reaches its critical capacity C₍crit₎. When an eigenmode crosses this boundary, it exits the unsaturated spectrum and ceases to exist as a distinct informational degree of freedom. Its distant partner decoheres structurally—not dynamically—because the geometric anchor maintaining the entanglement correlation is erased. This mechanism resolves the paradox without firewalls, nonlocal signaling, or violations of monogamy, and provides a unified informational account of black hole entropy, decoherence, and horizon behavior.Mathematical Notation Statement. All mathematical expressions in this manuscript use a dual‑inline format in which each expression appears first in bold Unicode, followed by its archival LaTeX form in square brackets. This ensures stability across Word, PDF, and archival repositories. No external references or prior results were required for the development of the mechanism presented in this work.Conical Source Statement. This work is part of a unified research program developed across multiple volumes. Each volume is designed to stand on its own while also forming a coherent component of a larger theoretical structure. Readers encountering this volume independently are encouraged to view it as one face of a conical source: a single underlying framework projecting into multiple disciplinary domains. The geometry, gauge structure, and emergent thermodynamics presented here are consistent with and derived from the same substrate‑level principles articulated throughout the series. This manuscript is intentionally concise, self‑contained, and free of references. All results follow directly from the saturation‑boundary mechanism and the informational curvature identity. The author acknowledges Dr. Mark A. Barber for the catalytic question that motivated this work, and acknowledges the use of AI‑assisted drafting tools for formatting stability and structural clarity.

Acoustic Firewalls: Analogue Gravity Perspective on the AMPS Paradox

Nikolay S. Akintsov, Artyom P. Nevecheria, Stepan N. Andreev +1 more

The monogamy of quantum entanglement, applied by Almheiri-Marolf-Polchinski-Sully (AMPS) to black holes, obstructs a smooth horizon vacuum after the Page time. We transcribe this argument to Hawking-like phonon radiation from a sonic horizon in the Unruh acoustic metric. An exact purity identity shows that post-Page-time unitarity forces the entanglement between an outgoing phonon and its interior partner to vanish, selecting a non-Hadamard (Boulware-like) phonon state, which we define as an acoustic firewall. Its renormalized stress tensor differs from the smooth state by a constant, negative near-horizon flux, and the thermal-atmosphere energy density it removes, measured by a static calorimeter, grows as $(δr)^{-2}$ in the radial coordinate toward the horizon (singular in the free-fall frame), cut off at the healing length. The construction is kinematic and does not resolve the information paradox; it yields one concrete, falsifiable prediction: a differential phonon-calorimetry signal $\mathcal{R}(δr)=|Δ\mathcal{E}|/\mathcal{E}^{(0)}\to(\ell_κ/δr)^{2}$, present only after the analogue Page time in a Bose-Einstein condensate.

On the Resolution of the Black Hole Information Paradox and Firewall Exclusion via the ΔH-Δt Boundary Formalism and Observer-State Interaction Dynamics

On the Resolution of the Black Hole Information Paradox and Firewall Exclusion via the Boundary Formalism and Observer-State Interaction Dynamics Michael Allan A. Bahtaji, Ph.D. Department of Physics, College of Science Technological University of the Philippines Ayala Boulevard, Ermita, Manila, Philippines, 1000 Email: michaelallan_bahtaji@tup.edu.ph | michaelallanbahtaji336@gmail.com Abstract We present a self-contained, unitary quantum gravitational framework resolving the Black Hole Information Paradox and eliminating the AMPS energetic firewall problem. Utilizing the Finite Boundary Formalism, we establish that the event horizon acts as a dynamic state-density boundary governed by the inverse relation . By coupling the density matrix evolution of the black hole-radiation system to the observer-state interaction operator , we derive an exact conservation equation for the fine-grained entanglement entropy . We demonstrate that beyond the Page time , a negative observer-state interaction gradient forces the emission of high-order multi-qubit correlations via localized state fluctuations . This mechanism reproduces the symmetric Page curve, enforcing complete information recovery and -matrix unitarity () while preserving smooth Horizon geometry without singular energetic firewalls.

Operational Unitarity: Resolving the Black Hole Information Paradox via the Operational Coherence Bound

Jason Gabriel Davis

The black hole information paradox presents a fundamental tension between the global unitarity of quantum mechanics and the apparent thermal, mixed-state nature of Hawking radiation. We propose a resolution grounded strictly in the Operational Coherence Bound (OCB), a covariant entropy constraint asserting that while formal (global) information may be unbounded, the operationally accessible and distinguishable information available to any single observer must be finite. By defining operational entropy via vacuum-subtracted relative entropy to ensure finiteness in continuum quantum field theory, we prove the Operational Unitarity Theorem: in a black hole spacetime satisfying the OCB, no single observer can operationally distinguish between unitary and non-unitary evolution of the global state. This framework resolves the Hawking information loss claim, the Page curve verification problem, and the AMPS firewall paradox by demonstrating that the causal geometry of black holes dynamically enforces an observer-indexed cap on cumulative information access. Global unitarity is preserved, but its operational verification is strictly forbidden by the geometric constraints of the observer’s causal diamond. This paper was originally integrated into the Unified Framework for Yang-Mills Mass Gap, QCD Confinement, and Black Hole Information paper uploaded in March 2026 https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18829529 Version 3 updates a duplication error I made in the last version.

Multipartite entanglement and firewalls

Shengqiao Luo, Henry Stoltenberg, Andreas Albrecht

Black holes offer an exciting area to explore the nature of quantum gravity. The classic work on Hawking radiation indicates that black holes should decay via quantum effects, but our ideas about how this might work at a technical level are incomplete. Recently Almheiri-Marolf-Polchinski-Sully (AMPS) have noted an apparent paradox in reconciling fundamental properties of quantum mechanics with standard beliefs about black holes. One way to resolve the paradox is to postulate the existence of a ``firewall'' inside the black hole horizon which prevents objects from falling smoothly toward the singularity. A fundamental limitation on the behavior of quantum entanglement known as ``monogamy'' plays a key role in the AMPS argument. Our goal is to study and apply many-body entanglement theory to consider the entanglement among different parts of Hawking radiation and black holes. Using the multipartite entanglement measure called negativity, we identify an example which could change the AMPS accounting of quantum entanglement and perhaps eliminate the need for a firewall. Specifically, we constructed a toy model for black hole decay which has different entanglement behavior than that assumed by AMPS. We discuss the additional steps that would be needed to bring lessons from our toy model to our understanding of realistic black holes.

Horizon-Indistinguishable Quantum Information Unitary Evaporation, Code Subspaces, and the Black-Hole Information-Loss Contradiction

Darren Jeffers

This paper presents a structural resolution of the black-hole information-loss contradiction using standard quantum-information and operator-algebraic ideas. The central argument is that local horizon regularity, unitary evolution, locally thermal-looking radiation, no cloning, and complete final information recovery are not mutually inconsistent unless one additionally assumes that the interior partner and the radiation reconstruction must remain permanently independent physical subsystems. The paper develops an alternative framework in which globally encoded quantum information can remain invisible to the local horizon observable algebra while being preserved exactly in the total quantum state and progressively transferred into correlations within the emitted radiation. An explicit finite-dimensional code model demonstrates that each individual emitted subsystem can appear locally universal while arbitrary quantum information, including entanglement with an external reference system, remains exactly preserved and fully recoverable from the final radiation. The analysis also distinguishes the local horizon-partner role from the global microstate information and from the physical carrier that realizes either role at a given stage of evaporation. This separation removes the apparent monogamy conflict without violating linearity, no cloning, or unitary quantum mechanics. A complementary entropy analysis shows how a Page-like transition can arise when the responsibility for purification becomes progressively reconstructible from the radiation. The paper does not claim a complete dynamical theory of astrophysical black-hole evaporation. Instead, it establishes a mathematically explicit consistency framework showing that the standard information-loss contradiction is not forced by local thermality and unitarity alone, and it identifies the remaining physical problem as the derivation of the appropriate horizon observable algebra and evaporation dynamics from a complete theory of gravity.
