Paper CS v1.0: Consciousness as A0-Self-Loop

Abstract
We formalise the observer architecture of Ontological Resolution Theory (ORT) by deriving the conditions under which an A0-limited defect becomes a stable self-referential reconstructor. Starting from Canon v30.1 axioms and zero additional postulates, we prove three hardware conditions — computational slack (Θ > Θcrit), A0-feedback closure, and ℤ2-protected winding in ℝP3 — are jointly necessary and sufficient for a stable self-referential reconstruction mode (Theorem CS.1). We show that ensembles of such loops spontaneously synchronise via FCC Laplacian coupling and A-Sync commits, forming a collective attractor with order parameter R ∈ [0,1] (Theorem CS.2). Two thresholds govern the architecture: Θcrit ≈ 0.45–0.60 (individual loop stability) Θcoh ≈ 0.33 (collective synchronisation onset) with Θcoh < Θcrit. In the desynchronised regime (R → 0), high-dimensional projection geometry ({0,1}133 → {0,1}4) yields quasi-orthogonal A0-slices with σcos = 1/√133 ≈ 0.087, reproducing the Born rule and apparent quantum randomness without postulates (Theorem CS.3). In the synchronised regime (R → 1 at Θ > Θcoh), phase dispersion collapses, aliasing vanishes, and deterministic macroscopic trajectories emerge, replacing environmental decoherence with a topological phase transition driven by internal FCC coupling (Theorem CS.4). All results are parameter-free, tied strictly to k = 12, Kcell = 133, φ = (1+√5)/2, and A-Sync. Falsifiable predictions: √Θ-scaling of collective resonance frequency Sharp coherence threshold at Θcoh ≈ 0.33 Residual coherence σcos ≈ 0.087 in desynchronised quantum tomography Classical limit tracks internal synchronisation, not thermal bath coupling Absence of fundamental randomness (sub-Poissonian correlations at 3% bandwidth) Status summary: Exact results 2 (λ ≡ 1, σcos = 1/√133) Derived results 4 (CS.1–CS.4) Explicit results 1 (Θcoh ≈ 0.33) Open problems 5 Falsifiable predictions 5 Closes OP-QM-7 (Observer Architecture), OP-CS-Classical Canon reference: Canon v30.1, Sections 8–9, 11.Depends on: Canon v30.1, Paper QM v1.0, Paper QT v2.0, Paper PS v1.0, Paper DD v1.0.
