Quantum-Secure HealthChain, a new architecture using blockchain and quantum computing, improves medical data security, patient privacy, and data fidelity. Methods: To prevent quantum attacks, the proposed system uses Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) for safe cryptographic key exchange and quantum-resistant encryption. Blockchain technology secures medical records, while multi-layered encryption ensures data privacy. Quantum Biometric Authentication improves access control using quantum entanglement and biometric data. Key generation, encryption, blockchain storage, authentication, and decryption are system process steps. Experimental evaluation focuses on encryption speed, resource economy, throughput, and scalability using simulated healthcare data. Results: Experimental data demonstrate system strength and efficiency. Encryption and decryption perform consistently for 1 to 100 MB data sizes with negligible overhead. Throughput can reach 105 transactions per second under normal demand; CPU (82%) and memory (210 MB) utilization are low. Scalability studies show linear expansion lets the system handle increased data volumes and user demands without sacrificing performance. Security study confirms quantum attack, data corruption, and unauthorized access resistance. Conclusion: Quantum-Secure HealthChain offers a revolutionary method to cloud-based healthcare system security. Blockchain-quantum computing integration ensures strong authentication, safe key exchange, and quantum-resistant encryption. Its security, scalability, and efficiency make it a future-ready platform for safe medical data management, reducing quantum computing hazards.

Enhancing Healthcare Security with Quantum Blockchain: Electronic Medical Records Protection

Ranjitha Venkatesh, Smita Darandale

The integration of blockchain technology in electronic medical records (EMRs) offers enhanced data security and integrity. However, classical blockchain systems face potential threats from quantum computing and often involve significant computation and communication costs. This paper proposes a secure framework for safeguarding EMRs using quantum blockchain technology, leveraging quantum cryptographic principles to enhance security. The proposed framework employs Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) and post-quantum cryptographic algorithms to resist quantum attacks, ensuring robust protection of sensitive data. By optimizing consensus mechanisms with quantum algorithms, with this research work, a 30% reduction in computation costs and a 25% decrease in communication overhead is achieved compared to traditional blockchain systems. These improvements are quantified through simulation results, demonstrating the framework’s efficiency and practicality. The proposed solution ensures higher security, integrity, and cost-effectiveness for managing EMRs in the face of emerging quantum threats.

Leveraging Quantum Cryptography And Blockchain For Strengthened Data Security In Cloud Infrastructures

Srinivasan J., Sindhu Achuthankutty, R. Rajkumar +3 more

The rapid adoption of cloud infrastructures has intensified concerns regarding data confidentiality, integrity, and trust management, particularly in the presence of emerging quantum computing threats. Classical cryptographic mechanisms, which underpin most existing cloud security architectures, are increasingly vulnerable to quantum attacks capable of compromising public-key encryption and key exchange protocols. To address these challenges, this paper proposes a hybrid security framework that integrates Quantum Cryptography with Blockchain technology to achieve robust, future-resistant data protection in cloud environments. The proposed framework leverages Quantum Key Distribution (QKD) to enable provably secure key generation and exchange based on quantum mechanical principles, ensuring resistance against eavesdropping and computational attacks. Blockchain technology is employed to provide decentralized trust, immutable audit trails, and transparent access control across distributed cloud services. Smart contracts enforce fine-grained security policies, automate authentication, and ensure tamper-proof data access logging. The synergy between quantum cryptography and blockchain establishes a secure key lifecycle, resilient identity management, and verifiable data integrity within multi-tenant cloud infrastructures. Comprehensive security analysis demonstrates that the proposed approach effectively mitigates quantum-enabled attacks, insider threats, and single-point-of-failure vulnerabilities commonly found in traditional cloud security models. Experimental evaluation and comparative analysis highlight improvements in data integrity assurance, key management robustness, and trust transparency, with acceptable computational and communication overhead. The results indicate that integrating quantum cryptography with blockchain presents a scalable and future-proof security paradigm for next-generation cloud infrastructures.

Quantum-Enhanced Security Advances for Cloud Computing Environments

Devulapally Swetha, Shaik Khaja Mohiddin

Recent developments in quantum-enhanced security have demonstrated encouraging promise for enhancing cloud computing environments' security. Utilizing quantum physics, in particular Quantum Key Distribution (QKD), provides a new method for generating cryptographic keys and improves cloud data transport security. The present study offers a thorough investigation of the integration of QKD with conventional encryption techniques, including Advanced Encryption Standard (AES), in order to tackle the dynamic cyber security scenario in cloud computing. The approach entails combining AES for encryption and decryption procedures and establishing a QKD layer within the cloud architecture to produce true quantum keys utilizing Quantum in Cloud technology. Data transmission security is greatly improved by the smooth integration of AES with QKD-generated keys, guaranteeing confidentiality, integrity, and authenticity. In addition, strong key management practices are put in place to handle cryptographic keys safely at every stage of their lifespan, reducing the possibility of unwanted access or interception. The suggested approach successfully addresses the difficulties presented by cyber threats by offering a robust and flexible means of enhancing security in cloud-based systems. Using both traditional and quantum encryption methods, this strategy provides a strong barrier against cyber-attacks, data leaks, and other security flaws. After 70 simulation rounds, the suggested strategy, which is implemented using the QKD-AES framework in Python software, achieved a data access rate of 820 MB/s. In addition to providing an accurate and quantitative assessment of the performance, this also exhibits a high data access rate attained under simulated conditions. At 15 milliseconds, the key generation time was achieved with efficiency, guaranteeing the quick creation of secure cryptographic keys in cloud environments. Overall, there is a lot of potential in using quantum-enhanced security techniques to protect sensitive data and guarantee the integrity of cloud computing infrastructures.
