The present paper continues the DGDCG I–III programme by deriving quantum dynamics and Lorentz invariance from a single axiom — the Coverage Principle. A deterministic mechanism for the emergence of quantum uncertainty is proposed for the first time: it is interpreted as the operational ambiguity of coarse-graining at finite structural resolution r∗, rather than as fundamental stochasticity. On this basis, the uncertainty relation, the Born rule, unitary evolution, and the Schrödinger equation are rigorously derived. The Lorentzian signature (− + ++) and the group SO(3, 1) emerge as the unique structure compatible with the complex phase of the geometric action and the irreversibility of Frontier growth. All results follow from a variational principle without additional physical postulates.

We develop a derivation of dynamics of Quantum Mechanics and measurement within a fundamentally timeless and scale-invariant framework. Building on a prior reconstruction of quantum kinematics from renormalization consistency, we extend the analysis to dynamical evolution and the measurement process using three minimal principles: a global constraint (timelessness), a variational formulation, and resolution independence. We show that relational time emerges through conditional decomposition of the global state, leading to an effective Schrödinger evolution under suitable conditions on clock subsystems. Renormalization group (RG) transformations, treated as maps on the state space induced by coarse-graining, generate an effective non-unitary dynamics for reduced states. Under standard assumptions of weak coupling and scale separation, this dynamics takes Lindblad form, providing a structural origin for decoherence. A central result of this work is the formulation of a stability selection principle: configurations contributing to observable physics correspond to those that are simultaneously stationary under the action and stable under RG flow. This principle unifies dynamical selection (via the variational structure) and structural selection (via renormalization), and provides a mechanism for the emergence of classical behavior. Measurement is described as an effective sector dynamics arising from decoherence and coarse-grained evolution. The Lindblad equation admits a stochastic representation in which the system evolves between dynamically independent sectors, leading to an effective description of definite outcomes without introducing a fundamental collapse postulate. The Born rule follows from the unique quadratic measure consistent with refinement structure and is realized dynamically within this framework. Together, these results provide a structural account under minimal assumptions of quantum dynamics, decoherence, and measurement as emergent features of a timeless, renormalization-consistent theory governed by stability across scales.
Boundary-Condition Quantum Mechanics III: A Stochastic Growth Model for Causal Event Chains and the Emergence of Inertia This paper develops the third stage of the Boundary-Condition Quantum Mechanics (BCQM) programme, in which spacetime is modelled as an emergent causal graph of irreversible quantum events. The central object is the q-wave: an informational propensity field that guides the stochastic growth of a particle’s event chain. Building on BCQM II (event ontology and emergent spacetime) and the separate Analytical Proofs note, this work: defines a concrete, Lorentz-respecting mathematical form for the retarded q-wave \psi^+ on a future boundary; specifies a hop-bounded, retarded graph-growth rule (Algorithm 1) that realises a particle’s worldline as a sequence of stochastic “ticks”; ties the lattice regulator and environment window to a finite coherence horizon W_{\mathrm{coh}}, and shows how to take a clean continuum limit; demonstrates numerically that the classical principle of inertia is an emergent statistical consequence of phase coherence: the coarse-grained trajectory follows the path of stationary action, with jitter set by W_{\mathrm{coh}}; shows that the effective inertial parameter scales as m_{\mathrm{eff}} \propto W_{\mathrm{coh}}^{-2}, supported by simulation and an operator-theoretic sketch. Particular care is taken to clarify the role of the “advanced” contribution: in this paper, “advanced” refers only to the advanced Green’s-function branch used to maintain time-symmetric amplitude bookkeeping. The advanced factor enters as the conjugate co-contribution in the t^+/t^- pairing at an event and is absorbed into the normalisation at the probability step. It does not represent backwards-in-time dynamics and cannot be used for signalling; all realised events are ordered along the usual chronological time. The record includes simulation details and parameter tables (Appendix A–C), normalisation and advanced-branch conventions (Appendix D–E), and a brief complexity estimate. A reference implementation of the stochastic event-chain simulations used for Figs. 1–4 is available in the public GitHub repository: Code: https://github.com/PMF57/BCQM_III Archived code and figure-generation scripts: 10.5281/zenodo.17632820This paper is part of an ongoing series on BCQM: BCQM I – Foundations and collapse horizon: 10.5281/zenodo.17191306 Analytical Proofs for BCQM: 10.5281/zenodo.17242311 BCQM II – From quantum events to spacetime: 10.5281/zenodo.17398294 BCQM Primitives – hop-bounded selection rule: 10.5281/zenodo.17495038 BCQM III provides the “engine” linking the event-based ontology to classical inertial motion. The follow-on work (BCQM IV) uses the same framework to analyse the inertial noise spectrum and its prospective experimental signatures. v2 - note (updated BCQM III) 2025-11-18: This version clarifies the scope and assumptions of the paper. In particular, it makes explicit that the phase structure \Delta S \approx p_\mu \Delta x^\mu is used at the emergent spacetime level as an effective description, and that deriving this structure (and the underlying Lorentzian geometry) from the primitive BCQM event-graph rules is deferred to future work (BCQM IV–V). No results, simulations, or numerical conclusions have been changed; the update is purely conceptual and expository.
We derive the deepest foundations of quantum mechanics and spacetime from the information-protection framework. The Lorentzian signature and constant speed of light emerge from the directed graph structure. The canonical commutation relation follows from the consensus delay, while an independent information-bandwidth bound constrains phase-space resolution. The wavefunction is identified as an information description held by an observer subnetwork, the measurement problem is resolved via the modified Schrodinger equation with a non-unitary relaxation term, and macroscopic commutativity emerges in the large-N limit. Bell nonlocality is resolved through the active-edge mechanism: entangled qubits are connected by dedicated graph edges whose consensus completes within a Planck time, providing an explicit realization of ER = EPR. Spin-1/2 emerges as a topological defect, and the spin-statistics theorem follows from braid group representations. The underlying network is deterministic; quantum probability is emergent for finite observers.
(This work presents an initial conceptual formulation of the renormalization-based approach to quantum theory within the TQF framework. A subsequent version 2 develops formulation of the Quantum reconstruction based on a linear state space, providing derivation of quantum-mechanical kinematics—including the emergence of the Hilbert space structure and the Born rule—from resolution independence. Readers primarily interested in the formal derivation are encouraged to consult the later versions, while the present work may be viewed as outlining the guiding ideas and initial physical intuition behind the quantum reconstruction.) The mathematical structure of quantum mechanics is traditionally introduced axiomatically, with the linearity of the state space, the Hilbert space structure, and the Born rule postulated independently. In this work, we investigate whether these features can instead emerge from a fundamental symmetry principle: the absence of a preferred scale, implemented as invariance ofphysical observables under coarse-graining transformations. We formulate a framework in which physical states are represented as functionals over configuration space and are subject to a family of coarse-graining transformations forming a renormalization group (RG) semigroup. Physical observables are required to be invariant under these transformations, while dynamical operators are allowed to transform covariantly withinthe induced RG flow. Under general consistency conditions—including associativity, symmetry, continuity, and invariance under refinement—we show that the admissible composition law of states admits an additive representation up to an invertible reparametrization, leading to a linear structure of the state space in reparametrized variables. Imposing consistency of weight assignments under coarse-graining further constrains the norm, selecting a quadratic form and inducing an inner product structure. As a result, the space of states acquires the structure of a complex Hilbert space without being postulated a priori. Within this framework, probability emerges as a measure induced by the state functional. By analyzing the transformation of weight assignments under coarse-graining, we identify an effective renormalization group flow in the space of admissible probability rules and show that the quadratic rule arises as a distinguished and heuristically stable fixed point. This provides adynamical origin for the Born rule. We further analyze the semiclassical regime, in which coarse-graining suppresses interference between configuration sectors, leading to decoherence and the emergence of effective classical behavior. In this limit, classical dynamics and an effective notion of time arise from the phase of the state functional, and an approximate Schr¨odinger equation is recovered for fluctuations. These results suggest that the core structural features of quantum mechanics can be understood as universal fixed-point properties of an underlying renormalization symmetry acting on the space of states. This perspective provides a conceptual bridge between quantum mechanics and scale-invariant quantum field theories, including the Timeless Quantum Field framework.
Abstract This paper is the third part of the third volume of the Back-Particle Theory. Building upon the dynamic intrinsic displacements, unified wave equation, and emergence of electromagnetic potentials established in Parts I and II of Volume 3, it systematically completes the geometric interpretation of quantum behavior, the emergent derivation of relativistic structure, and the geometric construction of the Dirac equation. Starting from the enormous degrees of freedom (∼ 10¹⁰⁴) of the back-particle array and its deterministic chaos, we demonstrate that quantum probability is not a fundamental postulate but an inevitable result of finite-information coarse-grained descriptions of the array’s chaotic dynamics, with the Born rule P = |ψ|² interpreted as a statistical expression of the excitation weights of specific vibration modes of the array. Through canonical quantization of the array displacement field, we rigorously derive the uncertainty principle Δx Δp ≥ ℏ_eff/2 and the zero-point fluctuation formula, and derive the decoherence rate Γ_dec ∼ (Θ_env/ℏ_eff)(Δr/d₀)² from the system-environment coupling model. Furthermore, starting from the homogeneous wave equation of the free array and requiring its form invariance under inertial frame transformations, we rigorously derive the Lorentz transformation, proving that the space-time structure of special relativity is a natural emergence of the array’s wave geometry. Based on the second-order classical dynamical equation of intrinsic displacements, we rigorously derive the Dirac equation through operator factorization by introducing the Clifford algebra γ^μ, where the spinor field Ψ is constructed from the intrinsic displacements (d_A, d_f) via symmetry mapping, the mass term ω₀/c originates from the array’s restoration frequency, the spin operator satisfies the SU(2) algebra, and spin 1/2 emerges naturally from the quantization of intrinsic angular momentum. All derivations strictly follow the principles of causal unidirectionality, field superposition, dimensional purity, and parameter emergence, with all parameters emerging in a closed manner from the basic set {A, F, f, f_ext, ρ₀, c} and the lattice geometric factors, achieving a complete logical closed loop from classical array dynamics to quantum mechanics. This framework preserves the empirical success of existing physical theories while proposing an alternative set of foundational assumptions from which their standard formulations emerge as effective limits. Abstract — Key Innovative Points Discrete Updating FabricThe theory postulates a fundamental discrete fabric whose elementary constituents evolve through local update processes, replacing continuous fields and background spacetime as primary entities. Irreversible Local Dynamics as FundamentalUnlike standard approaches based on unitary or reversible evolution, irreversibility is taken as ontological. Physical law emerges from irreversible local updates rather than from imposed symmetries or variational principles. Emergent Time and SpacetimeTime is not assumed as a fundamental parameter but arises from the counting of update events. Spacetime geometry emerges as a coarse-grained description of update activity across the fabric. Quantum Probability from Microstate CountingQuantum probabilities, including the Born rule, emerge from combinatorial counting of compatible microstates of the fabric, rather than being postulated axiomatically. Gravity as Update-Rate ModulationGravitational phenomena are interpreted as variations in local update rates, leading to effective curvature, time dilation, and relativistic behavior at macroscopic scales. Mass as Resistance to UpdateMass and inertia arise from stable topological structures within the fabric that resist updates, providing a dynamical origin of mass without introducing fundamental mass parameters. Fundamental Dissipation and IrreversibilityDissipation is intrinsic to the fabric dynamics and not an emergent statistical effect. The arrow of time follows directly from the irreversible nature of local updates. Extension Beyond Fundamental PhysicsThe same discrete framework accounts for macroscopic dissipative phenomena—such as friction, stick–slip dynamics, superlubricity, growth, and self-organization—linking fundamental physics and material behavior within a single process-based model. iversality Without Fundamental SymmetryLarge-scale physical laws emerge as dynamical attractors of the updating fabric, arising through elimination of unstable configurations rather than enforcement of fundamental symmetries. Emergent Rules Beyond the Born Rule in the Unified Fabric Framework The same discrete-fabric + local-update + coarse-graining structure generates multiple quantum rules without postulation. 1. Schrödinger Dynamics as an Emergent Long-Wavelength Limit Local deterministic updates on a discrete fabric admit spectral modes. In the long-wavelength limit, their evolution converges to a Schrödinger-type equation. No quantum dynamics is postulated.Only update rules and spectral structure are assumed. 2. Superposition from Coarse-Grained Microstate Counting Macroscopic amplitudes arise as sums over compatible microstates.Linearity follows from additive contributions at the amplitude level. Superposition is therefore emergent. It reflects coarse-graining, not a fundamental axiom. 3. Interference as Cross-Terms in Microstate Combinatorics Probabilities are quadratic because amplitudes sum before squaring.Cross-terms correspond exactly to interference effects. Interference is not assumed. It is a combinatorial consequence of microstate superposition. 4. Tensor Product Structure and the Origin of Entanglement Composite systems correspond to composite regions of the fabric.Global microstates factorize only if compatibility constraints separate. Entanglement arises when constraints couple subsystems. It is structural, not mysterious. 5. Decoherence from Phase Inaccessibility Observers access only coarse-grained variables.Rapidly varying microstate phases average out. Off-diagonal terms are dynamically suppressed.Decoherence emerges without postulation. 6. Measurement Collapse as Constraint Reduction Measurement is an interaction that reduces compatible microstates. The effective state updates accordingly. Collapse is not a new law.It is constraint updating under coarse-graining. 7. The Arrow of Time from Asymmetric State Counting Entropy is defined as the logarithm of compatible microstates.Local updates generically move toward larger compatible sets. Irreversibility is structural. It does not rely on subjective ignorance. 8. Coulomb Friction from Discrete Event Statistics Friction equals dissipated update energy per unit distance. The Coulomb law emerges from counting active interfacial events. The friction coefficient is not fundamental. It decomposes into microscopic event parameters. 9. Superlubricity as the Event-Free Limit Superlubricity occurs when locking events are suppressed.Dissipation is rare, not forbidden. This is a limit regime, not an exception. It confirms friction as emergent. 11. Conservation Laws from Update Invariance If the update rule is invariant under local transformations, conserved quantities emerge automatically. Noether’s theorem becomes emergent.Symmetry is a property of the update, not an axiom. 12. Classical Determinism from Phase Averaging At large scales, phase information becomes inaccessible.Only expectation values survive. Classical trajectories emerge statistically.Determinism is an effective limit. 13. Locality from Finite Update Propagation Updates propagate only through neighboring fabric nodes.Information speed is bounded. Causality is structural.Nonlocality is only apparent at coarse scales. 14. Emergent Speed Limit (c) The maximum update rate defines a universal speed. No signal can exceed it. The speed of light is not fundamental. It is a fabric update bound. 15. Metric Geometry from Update Delays Spatial curvature corresponds to spatially varying update rates.Time dilation is an update slowdown. Geometry is dynamical. The metric is emergent. 16. Gravity from Update Resistance Mass corresponds to structures resisting updates.Nearby updates slow down in response. Gravitational attraction emerges. No force field is postulated. 17. Equivalence Principle as a Structural Identity All stable update-resisting structures slow updates identically.Their response is universal. Inertial and gravitational mass coincide.Equivalence is automatic. 18. Quantization from Discrete Spectrum A finite update lattice admits discrete eigenmodes.Energy levels are quantized. Quantization is not imposed.Continuum is an approximation. 19. Noise Spectra (1/f) from Avalanche Dynamics Update cascades produce scale-free event statistics.Long-range correlations appear. 1/f noise is generic. It signals discrete underlying dynamics. 20. Criticality without Tuning The fabric naturally operates near instability thresholds.Small perturbations trigger cascades. Self-organized criticality emerges. No parameter tuning is required. 21. Thermodynamic Laws as Counting Theorems Temperature measures update activity density.Heat is disordered update flow. Thermodynamics is not independent. It is bookkeeping of updates. 22. Growth and Morphogenesis from Update Bias Directional update biases produce structured growth.Forms emerge without templates. Morphogenesis is dynamical.Shape follows update flow. 23. Fine-structure value and other unknow meaning The fine-structure value (~137) corresponds to the effective degeneracyof coherently contributing update configurations in an elementary coupling process.Proton–electron mass ratio the number of internal update cycles required to stabilize a topological vortex (proton), and a simple oscillatory update mode (electron). Mass measures cumulative resistance to updates. Lepton mass hierarchy Different stability thresholds of the same update pattern. Each mass corresponds to a different coherence regime.→ Families are metastable realizations of one structure. Reduced Planck constant Energy × time associated with one elementary update event. → ħ is the discrete unit of updating. Speed of light Maximum update propagation speed across the fabric. → c is the causal limit of the fabric. Bekenstein–Hawking entropy Number of blocked or saturated update configurations at the horizon. → An event horizon is an informational saturation boundary. Universal critical exponents They arise from the topology of update avalanches, independent of microscopic details. → Criticality is a natural fabric regime. Explanations Rarely Given in Existing Theories 1. Why probabilities are quadratic and not cubic or linear Most theories postulate P=∣ψ∣2P=|\psi|^2P=∣ψ∣2.Here it follows from coherent counting plus phase cancellation. The square is not a choice. It is the minimal stable coarse-graining. 2. Why quantum phases are physically unobservable but indispensable Phases affect interference but not outcomes directly. They label micro-configurations, not macrostates. Phase is structural memory.Measurement erases access to it. 3. Why constants are dimensionless and few Only ratios of update counts survive coarse-graining.Dimensional parameters wash out. Dimensionless constants are structural. They encode geometry, not dynamics. 4. Why “free parameters” cluster around simple numbers Many constants are order-one ratios or small inverses. They reflect combinatorial suppression. Fine tuning is apparent. It is state counting in disguise. 5. Why quantum randomness is stable and reproducible Randomness is not noise. It is deterministic micro-dynamics seen through coarse-graining. Statistics are invariant.Details are inaccessible. 6. Why identical particles are truly identical Microstates differ, macrostates do not.Labels are erased by update symmetry. Indistinguishability is enforced. It is not a postulate. 7. Why spin is quantized and half-integer values exist Spin counts topological winding in update cycles.Only discrete windings are stable. Half-integer spin reflects double-cover topology. No mystery remains. 8. Why gauge free
