Abstract

GRUT Foundational ToE v4: A Unified Response Framework with Testable Gravitational Decoherence and Entanglement-Dependent Scaling GRUT (Grand Responsive Universe Theory) is a unified response framework in which physical laws emerge as structural limits of a universal directed-response system governed by a complex relaxation time and formulated within the closed-time-path (CTP) formalism. From three structural axioms — CTP doubling, directed response, and complex relaxation with τ_I = ℏ/2 — the framework recovers the structure of quantum mechanics, relativistic field theory, gauge interactions, the electroweak sector, and the Higgs mechanism with the same parameter count as the Standard Model. These recoveries establish consistency with known physics but are not the primary contribution; the value of the core formalism is structural, providing a unified derivation from which the novel prediction sector follows without additional assumptions. Beyond Standard Model equivalence, the gravitational self-interaction of the response field produces the Universal Scaling Law (USL): a zero-parameter gravitational decoherence law Λ = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl) that spans 120 orders of magnitude in decoherence rate. The extended-body geometry correction S(l/R), derived from the Diósi self-energy integral for uniform spheres, produces a characteristic geometric kink at l ≈ 1.8R where the near-field (Λ ∝ l²) and far-field (Λ ∝ 1/l) regimes meet — a structural fingerprint that no single smooth power-law model can reproduce. The point-mass approximation used in standard Diósi-Penrose models overestimates decoherence rates by up to 6,000× for experimentally relevant separations, making the extended-body correction a quantitative discriminant between GRUT and existing collapse models. The many-body extension of the Diósi functional reveals that anti-correlated entangled states are gravitationally protected: Bell states decohere approximately 17% more slowly than product states at 200 nm inter-particle spacing, and GHZ states show progressively stronger suppression (up to 72% for N = 20). Within the class of models tested, this entanglement dependence constitutes a three-way experimental discriminant — standard quantum mechanics predicts zero decoherence, CSL predicts equal rates for product and entangled states, and only the GRUT extended-body Diósi functional predicts state-dependent rates with the correct geometry scaling. Six independent experimental signatures are identified, no tested alternative model reproduces all six simultaneously, and zero free parameters appear in the gravitational decoherence sector. The framework includes a complete environmental channel budget (gas collision, blackbody, trap recoil, charge noise, vibrational coupling, readout backaction) for any experimental platform, identifying the binding constraint and crossover pressure where the gravitational signal becomes dominant. For a 10 pg nanodiamond at 100 nm separation, the gas-gravity crossover occurs at P* ≈ 4 × 10⁻⁹ Pa. Below this pressure, GRUT predicts a decoherence plateau at Λ ≈ 633 Hz while standard quantum mechanics predicts vanishing decoherence — a 406× difference in coherence time at 10⁻¹¹ Pa. This prediction is testable with levitated nanoparticle experiments within the next 5–15 years. All predictions are implemented in the grut_solver computational package with 24 verified tests and an adversarial self-attack (kill) framework that systematically tests whether alternative models can mimic the GRUT signature space. The framework is falsifiable by specific, near-term experiments. It either survives experiment or it doesn't. Key Insights: Zero free parameters in the gravitational decoherence sector — the USL is derived entirely from the CTP influence functional with no fitted constants The Universal Scaling Law Λ = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl) spans 120 orders of magnitude from single electrons (10⁻⁶⁰ Hz) to planetary bodies (10⁺⁶⁰ Hz) Extended-body geometry correction S(l/R) produces a characteristic kink at l ≈ 1.8R that distinguishes GRUT from all point-mass decoherence models Anti-correlated Bell states are gravitationally protected: ~17% slower decoherence than product states at d = 200 nm, providing a three-way discriminant between GRUT, standard QM, and CSL GHZ entangled states show progressively stronger protection with increasing particle number (up to 72% suppression at N = 20) Six independent experimental signatures identified; no tested alternative model reproduces all six simultaneously Complete environmental channel budget computed for any experimental platform, identifying the binding constraint at each pressure The pressure-independent decoherence plateau (Λ ≈ 633 Hz for a 10 pg particle) produces a 406× difference from standard QM at achievable vacuum pressures The gas-gravity crossover at P* ≈ 4 × 10⁻⁹ Pa is within reach of current levitated nanoparticle technology Known physics (Schrödinger, Dirac, gauge theory, electroweak, Higgs) recovered from three structural axioms with the same ~20 free parameters as the Standard Model Mass emerges as inverse spatial susceptibility: m = τ_I²/c₂ — a structural ratio, not a postulated quantity The τ_R instability is a structural proof that dissipation cannot be added to quantum mechanics without noise, motivating the CTP open-system completion The adversarial kill framework systematically tests each competitor model against all six signatures, with complementary failure modes ensuring no single alternative can mimic the full prediction space The quantum-classical boundary is a computed surface in (mass, separation, time) space: m* = √(ℏl/Gt), not a postulated threshold

GRUT Programatic ToE v1.6: Constitutive Response Theory from the CTP Effective Action

D. Ryan Grover

GRUT Programatic ToE v6: Constitutive Response Theory from the CTP Effective Action GRUT v6: Constitutive Response Theory from the CTP Effective Action derives a unified response framework from the closed-time-path (Schwinger-Keldysh) effective action S_CTP and extracts an effective constitutive response equation τ dz/dt + z = z_target[z] in the relevant sectoral limits. The target functional z_target[z] is not postulated — it emerges from the variation δS_CTP/δz_a = 0, with the noise kernel N(x,x') emerging from the second variation δ²S/δz_a² = iN. These are two outputs of one CTP action: the deterministic response and the stochastic fluctuations. The constitutive projection (replacing d²/dt² with (1/τ)d/dt) has sector-dependent status: it is exact in sectors with first-order underlying dynamics (the Schrödinger equation is already first-order; the decoherence rate comes from the noise kernel, not the constitutive equation), and is a heuristic effective projection in sectors with second-order dynamics (gravity, cosmology, QG). The framework's sharpest predictions — the decoherence plateau and QM recovery — do not depend on the constitutive projection. The normalization τ_I = ℏ/2 is a definition (selecting the Keldysh convention that recovers quantum mechanics), not a physical axiom, reducing the framework to two axioms (CTP doubling, directed response) plus one definition. Four sectoral limits are developed in detail. Sector 1 (Quantum Mechanics): the nonrelativistic limit of the CTP variation gives the Schrödinger equation exactly, with the ground state as the fixed point z = z_target[z]. 12/12 tests pass. Sector 2 (Electroweak/SM): the Standard Model Lagrangian is imported as S_classical in the CTP action — the framework hosts it, does not derive it. 13/13 tests. Sector 3 (Gravitational Decoherence): the noise kernel becomes the Diósi gravitational self-energy functional, yielding Λ_grav = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl) with zero free parameters. The corrected benchmark uses a gold microsphere (R = 1 μm, m = 80.8 pg, l = 1 μm) giving 689 Hz with 1.5 ms coherence time. Earlier benchmarks (10 pg, R = 50 nm) were physically inconsistent. The full Lindblad master equation is documented and verified (max population error 1.4 × 10⁻⁶ vs Boltzmann). Momentum diffusion gives a heating rate of 4.7 × 10⁻⁶⁸ W — safe by over 60 orders of magnitude, though a complete heating analysis has not been performed. Six discriminating signatures distinguish this prediction from all tested alternatives. 14/14 tests. Sector 5 (Cosmology): a 10-step derivation chain (7 computed, 3 structural) produces the vacuum expansion rate H_∞ = (2 − R_anomaly)/(S × τ_0) = 1.885 × 10⁻¹⁸ Hz as an absolute prediction independent of H₀. The structural steps (linearity from single 3-loop insertion, CTP boundary conditions, dimensional assembly) constrain the formula to a unique form but do not constitute a derivation from a Lagrangian. The implied Ω_Λ is H₀-dependent: 0.2% accuracy at H₀ = 70, 8.1% at Planck H₀ = 67.4. The standard perturbative loop expansion cannot reach this result because it hits the cosmological constant problem at 1-loop; the structural route uses scheme-protected anomaly coefficients. A 329-era non-perturbative discrete map with exact retarded memory kernel produces three-phase expansion with 100% robustness and zero fitting. Linearized tensor gravity (Sector 12) yields a graviton propagator G_R(k,ω) = −16πG/[(ω² − k²c²)(1 − iωτ_grav)] that is massless (same pole as GR), ghost-free (imaginary pole is dissipative), UV-improved (1/ω³ vs 1/ω² in GR), and recovers classical GR to 10⁻¹⁰ at LIGO frequencies. Black hole information is resolved through the constitutive memory kernel K(t) = (1/τ_grav)exp(−t/τ_grav), which controls information correlation between the interior and outgoing Hawking radiation via the overlap factor η(M) = exp(−t_infall/τ_grav). The τ₀ branch (τ_grav = 41.9 Myr) gives η = 1 for all astrophysical masses, yielding 99.94% information recovery during evaporation with a Page-like turnover at the halfway point — non-thermal, unitary, constitutively correlated radiation. The T_Planck branch gives end-stage release only. This achieves 5/5 quantum gravity closure conditions for the τ₀ branch (graviton, UV completion, backreaction, BH information, classical GR) and 4/5 + end-stage for the T_Planck branch. The branch choice is a discriminable prediction, not an ambiguity. Neither resolution is available in standard GR, which has no metric memory kernel. Dark matter (Sector 9) is addressed through a gauged extension: the global Z₂ symmetry of the double-well potential is promoted to a local U(1)_dark gauge symmetry, fixing λ = g²_dark/2. Two routes determine g_dark: RG running from the Planck scale via the one-loop U(1) beta function (λ = 0.42, M = 2.1 × 10⁹ GeV) and anomaly extraction from CTP coefficients (λ = 3.83, M = 2.3 × 10⁸ GeV). Both give natural λ, viable σ/m (10⁻³–10⁻² cm²/g within Bullet Cluster bounds), and superheavy soliton masses in the 10⁸–10⁹ GeV range. The dark sector spectrum includes a massive dark photon (m_A' = g_dark v ≈ 387 MeV, sub-GeV, not yet excluded) and a dark Higgs at the pion scale. The extension class is finite and viable; unique branch selection within the window has not been achieved. 8/8 gauged tests pass. Additional mapped sectors include QCD confinement (threshold at 0.81 GeV, Wilson loop area-law confirmed), flavor hierarchy (Koide formula at 0.005%), coupling unification (f_self = 0.93), neutrino masses (near-zero fixed point, seesaw as threshold crossing), baryogenesis (3/3 Sakharov conditions structural), and neural gamma resonance (40 Hz from two independent routes: 39.9 Hz gravitational, 41.7 Hz network topology, 20/20 tests). The primary falsification test is the gravitational decoherence plateau — if no plateau is observed, Λ_grav is wrong, the USL constants lose their grounding, the cosmological formula loses its inputs, and the framework is falsified at its core. The structural mappings in other sectors are independently testable and do not logically depend on the plateau measurement. The document is explicit about what is not claimed: mechanism for subjective experience, observable GW/QNM modifications (dead at ~10⁻³⁹ rad), resolution of the Hubble tension, exact fermion masses, and "decoherence is undefined" in the Lindblad sense (only the constitutive driving term is zero at the fixed point). All computations are reproducible via the grut_solver package (github.com/ryangrvr/GRUT-RAI-v1.0). 183 passing tests. 13 sectors. One CTP action. Key Points: 1. A unified CTP response framework is derived from the Schwinger-Keldysh effective action, with the constitutive equation τ dz/dt + z = z_target[z] and noise kernel emerging as two outputs of one variational principle. The constitutive projection is exact in first-order sectors (QM, decoherence) and a heuristic effective projection in second-order sectors (gravity, cosmology) — the framework's sharpest predictions do not depend on the projection. 2. The Schrödinger equation is derived as the nonrelativistic limit of the CTP variation (exact, 12/12 tests). The gravitational decoherence rate Λ_grav = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl) comes from the noise kernel with zero free parameters (exact, 14/14 tests). The corrected benchmark uses a gold microsphere (R = 1 μm, m = 80.8 pg, 689 Hz). The full Lindblad master equation is documented and verified. 3. A 10-step derivation chain (7 computed, 3 structural) produces the vacuum expansion rate H_∞ = 1.885 × 10⁻¹⁸ Hz as an absolute prediction independent of H₀. The structural steps constrain the formula uniquely but do not constitute a conventional derivation. The implied Ω_Λ is H₀-dependent (0.2% at H₀ = 70, 8.1% at Planck). The structural route uses scheme-protected anomaly coefficients, bypassing the cosmological constant problem. 4. The graviton propagator is massless, ghost-free, UV-improved (1/ω³), and recovers classical GR to 10⁻¹⁰ at LIGO frequencies. Black hole information is resolved through the constitutive memory kernel: the τ₀ branch achieves 99.94% information recovery with a Page-like turnover and non-thermal unitary radiation (5/5 QG closures). The T_Planck branch gives end-stage release only (4/5 + end-stage). 5. Dark matter is closed as a gauged extension class: U(1)_dark fixes λ = g²_dark/2 via two routes (RG running: λ = 0.42, M = 2.1 × 10⁹ GeV; anomaly extraction: λ = 3.83, M = 2.3 × 10⁸ GeV). The dark sector spectrum includes a dark photon (~387 MeV) and dark Higgs at the pion scale. Both routes viable; unique branch selection remains open. 8/8 gauged tests pass. 6. τ_I = ℏ/2 is a normalization choice (selecting the Keldysh convention that recovers QM), not a physical axiom. This reduces the framework to two axioms (CTP doubling, directed response) plus one definition, with the mass-dependent conversion c₂ = ℏ²/(4m) providing sector-specific dimensional translation. 7. Six discriminating signatures distinguish the decoherence prediction from all tested alternatives (CSL, Diósi-Penrose point-mass, constant floor, power-law): pressure plateau, geometry dependence, entanglement protection, l-scaling, geometric kink at l = 1.8R, and mass-squared scaling. Heating rate (4.7 × 10⁻⁶⁸ W) is safe by over 60 orders; complete analysis not yet performed. 8. The self-referential fixed point z = z_target[z] organizes all sectoral limits as different expressions of the same CTP action: ground state (QM), gravitational plateau (decoherence), vacuum H_∞ (cosmology), confining vacuum (QCD), broken vacuum (electroweak), and gamma resonance (neural). The threshold is not a separate postulate — it is the constitutive equation's approach to its own fixed point. 9. QCD confinement (0.81 GeV threshold, Wilson loop area-law), flavor hierarchy (Koide at 0.005%), coupling unification (f_self = 0.93), neutrino masses (near-zero fixed point, seesaw as threshold crossing), baryogenesis (3/3 Sakharov structura

GRUT Gravitational Decoherence from the CTP Influence Functional: A Zero-Parameter Prediction with Six Discriminating Signatures

D. Ryan Grover

GRUT Gravitational Decoherence from the CTP Influence Functional: A Zero-Parameter Prediction with Six Discriminating Signatures We derive the gravitational decoherence rate for mesoscopic objects from the imaginary part of the Schwinger-Keldysh (closed-time-path) influence functional. The derivation requires no assumptions beyond the CTP axioms — path doubling and retarded variation — and the Newtonian limit of the graviton propagator. No coupling constants, collapse rates, or correlation lengths are introduced. The decoherence rate Λ_grav = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl), with the extended-body suppression factor S(l/R) = min(1, (l/R)³/6), is a direct output of the imaginary part of the CTP influence functional, following the approach of Anastopoulos and Hu (2013). The paper is self-contained: it derives the decoherence rate from the CTP influence functional alone, without reference to the broader GRUT constitutive framework. The prediction produces six experimentally discriminating signatures that collectively fingerprint gravitational decoherence: mass-squared scaling (F1), geometry dependence through S(l/R) distinguishing gold from silica at the same mass (F2), a pressure-independent decoherence plateau as environmental noise is removed (F3), far-field separation scaling Λ ~ l⁻¹ (F4), entanglement protection where Bell states decohere slower than product states (F5), and a geometric kink at l = 6¹/³R ≈ 1.817R where the near-field l² regime transitions to the far-field 1/l regime (F6). An adversarial comparison against five competing models — constant floor, power-law, CSL, Diósi-Penrose point-mass, and Penrose objective reduction — shows that no tested alternative reproduces all six signatures simultaneously. The geometric kink (F6) kills all point-mass models, geometry dependence (F2) kills all constant-floor models, and entanglement protection (F5) kills all state-independent models. A single experiment measuring F1 + F2 + F6 would be decisive. All experimental benchmarks use realizable objects with known material densities — correcting previous literature benchmarks that assumed physically inconsistent parameters. The gold microsphere benchmark (R = 1 μm, m = 80.8 pg, l = 1 μm) produces Λ_grav ~ 689 Hz with coherence time ~1.5 ms. A silica sphere at the same mass demonstrates the geometry signature (F2) with a different rate. Heating from gravitational momentum diffusion is safe by more than 60 orders of magnitude — the extended-body suppression S(l/R) prevents the UV divergence that causes heating problems in point-mass models. The prediction is robust against non-Markovian corrections because it depends on the noise kernel (a property of the quantum state and the gravitational field), not on the dynamical evolution equation. Theoretical corrections to the kernel — post-Newtonian O(10⁻¹⁶), 2-loop graviton O(10⁻⁸), compactness O(10⁻²⁷) — are negligible at laboratory scales. A concrete experimental proposal targets next-generation optomechanical systems at the 10-picogram scale. The required parameters (mass > 10 pg, separation > 100 nm, pressure < 10⁻¹⁰ Pa, temperature < 100 mK, coherence time > 1 ms) are within reach of current technology trajectories. Four target experimental groups are identified: Arndt (Vienna), Aspelmeyer (Vienna), Geraci (Northwestern), and Bateman (UCL). The protocol specifies six steps from superposition preparation through pressure scanning, material comparison, and kink identification. If the decoherence rate continues to decrease with pressure below 10⁻¹⁰ Pa (no plateau), the prediction is falsified. Through the decoherence-cosmology bridge, a single laboratory measurement of Λ_grav at any (m, l) would fix τ₀ independently and determine the vacuum expansion rate of the universe — connecting a tabletop measurement to the cosmological constant. Key Insights: 1. Gravitational decoherence rate Λ_grav = Gm²S(l/R)/(ℏl) derived from the CTP influence functional with zero free parameters — self-contained, no reference to the broader GRUT framework required 2. Six experimentally discriminating signatures (F1–F6) that no tested alternative decoherence model reproduces simultaneously 3. The geometric kink at l = 6¹/³R ≈ 1.817R is the single most discriminating feature — it kills all point-mass models and requires only measuring Λ(l) across the near-field/far-field transition 4. A single experiment measuring F1 (mass-squared) + F2 (geometry) + F6 (kink) would be decisive, even without reaching the absolute rate 5. Corrected benchmarks using realizable objects: gold microsphere (R = 1 μm, m = 80.8 pg) produces Λ ~ 689 Hz — previous literature benchmarks at 10 pg / R = 50 nm are physically inconsistent 6. Heating from gravitational momentum diffusion is safe by > 60 orders of magnitude — extended-body suppression prevents the UV divergence of point-mass models 7. Robust against non-Markovian corrections: the rate depends on the noise kernel (pre-dynamical), not the equation of motion 8. Theoretical corrections negligible at lab scales: post-Newtonian O(10⁻¹⁶), 2-loop graviton O(10⁻⁸), compactness O(10⁻²⁷) 9. Concrete experimental proposal for optomechanical systems at 10 pg scale, with required parameters, six-step protocol, and explicit positive/null result criteria 10. Four target experimental groups identified: Arndt, Aspelmeyer, Geraci, Bateman 11. Adversarial comparison: five competing models tested, each killed by complementary signature failures — no single alternative survives the full six-signature space 12. Decoherence-cosmology bridge: a single lab measurement of Λ_grav fixes τ₀ and determines the vacuum expansion rate — connecting a tabletop experiment to the cosmological constant

GRUT ToE v1.4 Sector 13: Consciousness and 1 Space Beyond the Thermal Wall

D. Ryan Grover

GRUT ToE v4 Sector 13: Consciousness and 1 Space Beyond the Thermal Wall GRUT (Grand Responsive Universe Theory) Sector 13 extends the framework's consciousness application beyond the thermal wall that decisively killed the Penrose-Hameroff Orchestrated Objective Reduction (Orch-OR) hypothesis. The gravitational decoherence rate per tubulin dimer (3.02 × 10⁻¹¹ Hz, zero free parameters from the Universal Scaling Law) produces 40 Hz gamma oscillation with approximately 38,000 neurons — a biologically realistic cortical network corresponding to roughly half a cortical column. But water at brain temperature (310 K) destroys quantum coherence 10²⁵ times faster than gravity acts, creating a 25–28 order gap that no known mechanism bridges. This sector systematically computes what lies beyond that wall, separating computed results from speculative content throughout. Six computed investigations probe the thermal wall from different angles. Ordered water corrections for confined microtubule channels (~15 nm diameter) produce less than 0.01 orders of improvement at the physical confinement estimate of 0.97, leaving the ~28.6-order gap effectively unchanged. The topological winding number on the 13-protofilament microtubule ring degrades faster than local phase coherence under uncorrelated dephasing (ratio 0.70×) — topology does not help. GHZ entanglement entropy decays N times faster than single-qubit coherence, actively disfavoring naive pattern survival via entanglement. The resonance condition is computed across all major brainwave bands: theta (6 Hz, ~253,000 neurons), alpha (10 Hz, ~152,000 neurons), beta (20 Hz, ~76,000 neurons), and gamma (40 Hz, ~38,000 neurons) — all biologically feasible network sizes. The information-theoretic antenna coupling bound yields a coupling fraction of ~10⁻¹⁰⁸ between a 38,000-neuron network (D_sub ~ 10¹⁵ bits) and the universe (holographic bound ~10¹²⁴ bits). The impedance matching between gravitational collapse timescale and neural oscillation period is exact at this network size (Z = 0.002), though this is explicitly noted as a tautology of the linear scaling. The sector introduces "1 Space" — the totality of the universal target functional F[z] — as a speculative framework for consciousness at the quantum-classical boundary. In this interpretation, the classical world is where the response field z has fully relaxed toward F[z], the quantum world is where z maintains superposition, and consciousness is proposed as an edge state sitting at the boundary between the two regimes. The brain functions as an "antenna" maintaining pattern-level coupling to the target functional rather than shielding quantum states from decoherence. This framework is explicitly labeled as speculative: no dynamical equation for the edge state is proposed, no coupling mechanism is derived, and no prediction beyond the structural coincidences is made. Seven falsification conditions (K13-1 through K13-7) are defined, all testable: bulk-like water collision rates in microtubule channels, absence of topological protection, network insignificance of the 38,000-neuron count, lack of cross-species gamma-tubulin mass correlation, anesthetic non-binding to microtubules, consciousness persistence under microtubule disruption, and mutual information decaying at the same rate as local coherence. The honest assessment: 7 computed results, 4 model-dependent results, 5 speculative proposals. The thermal wall stands — total improvement from all computed corrections is less than one order, leaving ~25 orders unbridged. The structural coincidences are real and unexplained; the physical hypothesis is killed by thermal physics. All computations are implemented in 7 modules with 15 validated tests and are reproducible via the grut_solver package. Key Insights: Gravitational decoherence rate per tubulin dimer: 3.02 × 10⁻¹¹ Hz (zero free parameters) — a single dimer takes ~1,050 years to gravitationally decohere ~38,000 neurons match the 40 Hz gamma oscillation target scale — a biologically realistic network corresponding to roughly half a cortical column The thermal wall stands: water at 310 K decoheres tubulin 10²⁵ times faster than gravity, a 25–28 order gap that no computed mechanism bridges Ordered water confinement in microtubule channels (~15 nm) improves the gap by less than 0.01 orders at the physical estimate — effectively zero Topological index on the 13-protofilament ring degrades 0.70× faster than local coherence under uncorrelated noise — topology hurts rather than helps GHZ entanglement entropy decays N times faster than single-qubit coherence, actively disfavoring quantum pattern survival via entanglement Resonance condition holds across all brainwave bands (theta through gamma) with feasible neuron counts at each frequency "1 Space" framework proposed as speculative interpretation: consciousness as an edge state at the quantum-classical boundary of the target functional F[z] — no dynamical equation derived Seven testable kill conditions defined (K13-1 through K13-7), including cross-species correlation and anesthetic binding tests Honest assessment: 7 computed, 4 model-dependent, 5 speculative — all categories explicitly separated throughout the document The structural coincidences (mass-frequency matching, feasible network size, brainwave-band coverage) are real and unexplained; the physical hypothesis is killed by thermal physics All computations reproducible via grut_solver/sectors/consciousness/ with 15 validated tests

GRUT Phase II: Quantum Bridge, Collapse Restoration, and Anti-Artifact Finite-Radius Endpoint Candidate

D. Ryan Grover

Phase II of the Grand Responsive Universe Theory (GRUT) extends the Phase I Closure Protocol into the quantum bridge and strong-field collapse sectors. Phase I established the weak-field Closure Protocol: a causal, screened, finite-bandwidth metric response framework with two canonical constants (tau_0 approximately 41.9 Myr, alpha_vac = 1/3) and a Numerical Integrity Standard (NIS) reproducibility discipline. In the quantum bridge sector, the elastic response Re[chi(omega)] of the Phase I susceptibility yields the gravitationally induced decoherence master equation t_dec = (hbar * ell * tau_0^2)^(1/3) / (alpha_vac * G)^(1/3) x m^(-2/3) (EQ-QUANTUM-001), derived from first principles using only Phase I constants. The m^(-2/3) scaling law provides a three-slope falsifier distinguishing GRUT from the Diosi-Penrose prediction (m^(-2)) and the metric noise bath alternative (m^(-1)). In the strong-field collapse sector, Tier 0 local-tau closure resolves the frozen-collapse pathology introduced by importing the cosmological tau_0 directly into the collapse solver. An earlier finite-radius endpoint is shown to be an L_stiff x V_tol numerical artifact and is formally rejected. The active phenomenological endpoint operator OP_QPRESS_001 is introduced as the first candidate that survives the full anti-artifact acceptance suite (eight tests). The stable finite-radius endpoint is established in barrier-engaged runs under that suite. The Vacuum Saturation Radius r_sat is thereby promoted to candidate status. Phase II does not derive the parameters epsilon_Q and beta_Q from first principles. Information archive, global unitarity, the Whole Hole interpretation, and exterior observational consequences remain active research targets and constitute the Phase III frontier. Structural Scaling Law for Gravitational Decoherence in Levitated Optomechanics: A 1 Hz Target

Yi Ning Chen

Levitated optomechanical systems are approaching the regime where macroscopic quantum superpositions become experimentally accessible. A central question is whether gravity itself, through its unavoidable coupling to material quantum fluctuations, imposes a fundamental decoherence channel on such superpositions. Starting from two independently well-tested physical elements—the quantum vacuum fluctuations of the material energy-momentum tensor, and the weak-field linear response kernel of classical general relativity—we derive a structurally rigid scaling law for the gravitational decoherence rate: \Gamma \propto G M^2 d^2 / (\hbar L^3) \cdot \Phi(l_*/L). The exponents and dependence on mass M, superposition separation d, and object size L are fixed entirely by dimensional analysis and the semiclassical field equations, without tunable parameters. The overall amplitude is set by a single phenomenological input—the ultraviolet cutoff scale l_* of the effective geometric noise. Identifying l_* with the Planck length yields \Phi \sim \mathcal{O}(1) and a decoherence rate of order 1\,\text{Hz} for nanoparticles with M \sim 10^{-14}\,\text{kg}, d \sim 10^{-7}\,\text{m}, and L \sim 10^{-6}\,\text{m}, placing the prediction within the foreseeable sensitivity window of next-generation levitated optomechanical setups. We provide explicit falsification conditions, a three-path staged verification strategy that does not require simultaneous optimisation of all parameters, and operational signatures—including a distinctive pure-dephasing channel without energy relaxation—that distinguish this mechanism from environmental noise, zero-temperature electromagnetic vacuum fluctuations, and the Diósi-Penrose model.

Gravitational Suppression of Quantum Decoherence via Variable Vacuum Foam Density

Luke Martin

We present a derivation of quantum decoherence rates within a vacuum pressure gradient model of gravity, in which local vacuum density decreases near massive objects according to rho_vac(r) = rho_0*(1 - 2GM/rc^2). This model predicts that decoherence rates are suppressed near massive objects — in direct opposition to the Diosi-Penrose model, which predicts enhancement near mass. The sign reversal produces a measurable fractional difference of 3GM/rc^2 between the two model predictions. We identify that quantum decoherence and macroscopic void decay are the same physical process at different scales, both governed by local vacuum bubble density eroding void-pair boundaries. We propose an experimental protocol using atomic interferometry at varying gravitational potentials, achievable with existing space-based platforms, that discriminates between this model and Diosi-Penrose by sign alone. For trapped ion qubits with coherence times of order 100 seconds, the predicted fractional improvement between Earth surface and the International Space Station is 8.22 x 10^-11.UFFT Paper #1.
