The Projective Dynamic Logo (PDL) framework derives the Schrödinger equation from the (A)∧(B) stability criterion (D32). This paper extends the derivation to the relativistic regime and proves that the Dirac equation follows from the same criterion via a closed algebraic chain requiring no additional postulate. Four results are established. Lemma 1 derives the half-cycle operator conditions (T-a): T|c₊⟩ = |c₋⟩ and (T-b): T|c₋⟩ = −|c₊⟩ from the PDL pulsation axiom and condition (B), with the sign −1 in (T-b) shown to be structurally forced, not conventional. Theorem 1 proves T² = −I₂ in three lines from (T-a) and (T-b) alone, without invoking any Clifford algebra, spinor formalism, or relativistic postulate; the spin-½ double cover structure follows as a corollary, not a postulate. Theorem 2 establishes uniqueness of T = −iτ₂ by exhaustive check over all eight canonical candidates {I₂, τ₁, τ₂, τ₃}×{1, i}, with τ₁ excluded algebraically by τ₁² = +I₂ ≠ −I₂. Theorem 3 derives the Clifford algebra {γμ, γν} = 2ημνI₄ with γ⁰ = τ₃⊗I₂ and γⁱ = iτ₂⊗σᵢ as a theorem, with numerical residual 0.00×10⁰. The non-relativistic limit reproduces D32 exactly, using the same α_PDL and m_e with no adjustment, confirming PDL self-consistency at two relativistic levels. This result closes OP4 of D32 and establishes that the period-4 pulsation of K₄ is the combinatorial origin of the relativistic spinor structure of matter.

The Projective Dynamic Logo (PDL) framework derives physical reality from four axioms on finite signed graphs, without presupposing space, time, or wavefunctions. This paper shows that the Schrödinger equation emerges from the (A)∧(B) stability criterion — the condition characterising stable mixed triangles between K₄ closures and proton vertices — without any additional quantum mechanical postulate. The key result is Proposition 2: the amplitude coefficient b = −iħΔt/(2m_e(Δx)²) is derived from condition (B) together with the Compton pulsation scale, with no free parameter. From this coefficient, the full time-dependent Schrödinger equation iħ∂ψ/∂t = [−ħ²/(2m_e)∇² − α_PDL·ħc/r]ψ follows by the continuum limit, with the fine-structure constant α_PDL entering from the PDL proton quintuplet. The S₄ transitivity established in D31 forces isotropy of the transition amplitudes, ensuring spatial homogeneity of the derived dynamics. The non-relativistic limit is self-consistent, using the same α_PDL and m_e as the full theory. This result closes open problem OP6 of D31 and constitutes the first derivation of a quantum dynamical equation from the PDL closure axioms. Conditions (A)∧(B) are identified as the natural entry point for the relativistic extension to the Dirac equation, addressed in D33
This paper resolves Open Problem OP4 of the Projective Dynamic Logo (PDL) programme by deriving the U(1) phase freedom of quantum mechanics from the combinatorial structure of the complete signed graph K₄, without presupposing complex amplitudes, Hilbert spaces, or gauge symmetry. Document D34 of the PDL corpus established Born's rule at Level 1: the modulus identity P = |ψ|² follows from the Gleason uniqueness theorem applied to the coherence-violation cost χ(τ;σ) ∈ {+1,−1} of the K₄ structure. Level 1 left the origin of complex phases as an open problem. The present document closes this gap. Three propositions are established, each with complete proof. Proposition 1 shows that the global sign equivalence s ∼ −s of K₄ coherent configurations, combined with the half-cycle identity T² = −I₂ proved in D33, generates a canonical U(1) action on the amplitude space H_cyc ≅ ℂ²; the orbits are the fibres of the Hopf fibration S¹ ↪ S³ → S². Proposition 2 proves, by explicit algebraic computation verified over all 8 coherent configurations of K₄, that the (A)∧(B) stability criterion is U(1)-invariant: the cross-products P₁, P₂ ∈ {+1,−1} are independent of any complex phase factor applied to ψ. Proposition 3 proves that the unique U(1)-equivariant probability measure on S³ whose marginal under the Hopf projection satisfies the Level 1 Gleason axioms is the round measure on S³, yielding Born's rule P = |⟨θ|ψ⟩|² on the base ℙ¹(ℂ). Together, these three propositions establish that the U(1) phase freedom of quantum mechanics is not a postulate but a structural consequence of the K₄ pulsation: a state ψ and a phase-rotated state e^{iα}ψ are physically equivalent because they correspond to the same physical K₄ configuration related by the global sign flip s ↦ −s. A connection to the Ginzburg–Landau order parameter of superconductivity is identified: the phase φ in Ψ = |Ψ|e^{iφ} is the fibre coordinate of the Hopf bundle generated by the K₄ pulsation, providing a combinatorial foundation for long-range phase coherence. This result completes the quantum dynamics layer of the PDL programme. The Schrödinger equation (D32), the Dirac equation (D33), Born's rule including the origin of complex phases (D34 + D46), the spin-½ double cover (D33), and the U(1) gauge freedom (D46) all follow from four combinatorial axioms on finite signed graphs, without free parameters and without additional postulates. The paper is self-contained: all necessary results from D29, D32, D33, and D34 are reproduced in full in Section 2.
We derive the Dirac equation from three postulates concerning the internal complex structure of time: (P1) physical time comprises two orthogonal components, past-fixed (pf) and future-pending (fp); (P2) pf ⊥ fp; and (P3) |T|² = pf² + fp² = 1. These postulates entail that temporal evolution is a first-order phase rotation e^{iθ} (yielding the Schrödinger equation) and that spatial extension of the conservation law gives E² = m²c⁴ + c²p² (yielding the Minkowski metric). The first-order requirement and the causality constraint (both derived from the same postulates) jointly exclude the square-root Hamiltonian on grounds of non-locality, leaving matrix linearisation as the unique path. The resulting Clifford algebra {γ^μ, γ^ν} = 2g^{μν} encodes the Minkowski metric already derived from the postulates, completing a self-consistent chain from temporal ontology to the Dirac equation. The four-component spinor is interpreted as the direct product of the pf–fp doublet (2 components) and the two directions of phase rotation (particle/antiparticle), providing a physical origin for spin-1/2 and its 4π periodicity (Möbius structure). Charge conjugation C, parity P, and time reversal T are reformulated as phase-rotation reversal, spatial phase-gradient reversal, and phase-angle reversal, respectively; CPT invariance is proved as a direct consequence of |T|² = 1. Connections to prior quantum-circuit experiments — in which entanglement was found to be a necessary condition for the linear accumulation of measurement-induced irreversibility — are discussed in the context of the Dirac spinor’s inter-sector coupling. complex time; Dirac equation; Clifford algebra; spinor structure; CPT invariance; Minkowski metric; quantum–relativity unification; temporal ontology; measurement irreversibility
This paper extends the stochastic electrodynamic framework of Papers 1, 2, and 3 [1–3] to relativistic quantum mechanics, deriving the Dirac equation from the relativistic Coulomb field. The non-relativistic Brownian motion of Paper 1 is generalised to a four-dimensional stochastic process in Minkowski spacetime, parameterised by proper time τ . The relativistic diffusion coefficient isD4D = ℏ/m—exactly twice the non-relativistic value ℏ/2m—arising from the additional contribution of the temporal component of the four-dimensional Wiener process. The covariant zero-point field spectral tensor Sμν(ω) = (ℏω^3/6π^2ϵ0c^3)gμν is derived from the relativistic Coulomb field through the Lorentz-covariant Einstein–Hopf detailed balance and the ergodic theorem, whose applicability to the SED electron-vacuum system is proved in Paper 3 [3]. Relativistic stochastic optimal control gives the Hamilton–Jacobi–Bellman (HJB) equation in four-dimensional configuration space, which yields the Klein–Gordon equation for spin-0 particles through the relativistic Itô correction (ℏ/2m)□. Linearisation of the relativistic Lagrangian −mc√uμuμ via Dirac matrices γμ satisfying {γμ, γν} = 2gμν converts the second-order HJB equation into a first-order equation—the Dirac equation: (iℏγμ∂μ−eγμAμ/c−mc)ψ = 0. The central new result is that spin- 1/2 is not introduced by the linearisation: it is already present in the geometry of the four-dimensional stochastic path. The mass-shell constraint uμuμ = −c^2 forces the relativistic Brownian path to be helical, with radius ℏ/mc and angular frequency 2mc^2/ℏ (Zitterbewegung). The angular momentum of this helix is ℏ/2 (spin- 1/2 ) and the magnetic moment gives g = 2—both following from the Coulomb field without additional assumptions. The linearisation then finds the unique first-order wave equation consistent with this pre-existing helical spin structure. The four-component Dirac spinor encodes four degrees of freedom already determined by the stochastic path: two spin states (helix handedness) and two time directions (particle/antiparticle).
Abstract This paper is the third part of the third volume of the Back-Particle Theory. Building upon the dynamic intrinsic displacements, unified wave equation, and emergence of electromagnetic potentials established in Parts I and II of Volume 3, it systematically completes the geometric interpretation of quantum behavior, the emergent derivation of relativistic structure, and the geometric construction of the Dirac equation. Starting from the enormous degrees of freedom (∼ 10¹⁰⁴) of the back-particle array and its deterministic chaos, we demonstrate that quantum probability is not a fundamental postulate but an inevitable result of finite-information coarse-grained descriptions of the array’s chaotic dynamics, with the Born rule P = |ψ|² interpreted as a statistical expression of the excitation weights of specific vibration modes of the array. Through canonical quantization of the array displacement field, we rigorously derive the uncertainty principle Δx Δp ≥ ℏ_eff/2 and the zero-point fluctuation formula, and derive the decoherence rate Γ_dec ∼ (Θ_env/ℏ_eff)(Δr/d₀)² from the system-environment coupling model. Furthermore, starting from the homogeneous wave equation of the free array and requiring its form invariance under inertial frame transformations, we rigorously derive the Lorentz transformation, proving that the space-time structure of special relativity is a natural emergence of the array’s wave geometry. Based on the second-order classical dynamical equation of intrinsic displacements, we rigorously derive the Dirac equation through operator factorization by introducing the Clifford algebra γ^μ, where the spinor field Ψ is constructed from the intrinsic displacements (d_A, d_f) via symmetry mapping, the mass term ω₀/c originates from the array’s restoration frequency, the spin operator satisfies the SU(2) algebra, and spin 1/2 emerges naturally from the quantization of intrinsic angular momentum. All derivations strictly follow the principles of causal unidirectionality, field superposition, dimensional purity, and parameter emergence, with all parameters emerging in a closed manner from the basic set {A, F, f, f_ext, ρ₀, c} and the lattice geometric factors, achieving a complete logical closed loop from classical array dynamics to quantum mechanics. The Projective Dynamic Logo (PDL) framework derives quantum dynamics from combinatorial axioms on finite signed graphs. This paper addresses the measurement problem at Level 1: it proves that the Born rule P₊ = |⟨+θ|ψ⟩|² emerges from the (A)∧(B) stability criterion without presupposing probability or the Hilbert space inner product. The derivation proceeds in three steps. First, the coherence indicator χ(τ; σ) ∈ {+1, −1} is defined as a purely combinatorial quantity over triangle orientations, with no probabilistic content. Second, the coherence cost εcoh(σ₊; θ, ψ) = |⟨−θ|ψ⟩|² is established from the (A)∧(B) apparatus symmetry conditions, with numerical residual 5.55×10⁻¹⁶ over 20,000 state-angle pairs. Third, P₊ = 1 − εcoh = |⟨+θ|ψ⟩|² follows by normalisation, algebraically. All five Gleason axioms are verified for this assignment with residuals ≤ 1.1×10⁻¹⁵, and the Gleason uniqueness theorem — stated in full as a self-contained result — guarantees that this is the unique admissible probability assignment on the Hilbert space of spin-½ states. A structural diagnostic is provided: uniform triangle weights α_τ = 1/N_T yield the Heaviside function Θ(cosθ), with maximum discrepancy 1.00 (exact), confirming that the Born cos²(θ/2) distribution is not trivial and requires the specific geometric weight structure of K₄⊗G_app. This result closes OP5 of D32 at Level 1. Level 2 — the derivation of triangle weights α_τ from PDL axioms without presupposing the spin Hilbert space inner product — remains open.
