Abstract

One of the core challenges in quantum sensing and quantum computing is understanding and suppressing decoherence noise. Traditional noise models primarily focus on environmental parameters such as temperature, magnetic field, and charge density, yet they struggle to explain the systematic differences in noise intensity across diverse material systems. This paper is based on Fu-Tao Zhao’s theory of material memory.

Topics in Quantum Dynamics and Coherence for Quantum Information Processing

Vladimir Privman

We outline selected trends and results in theoretical modeling of quantum systems in support of the developing research field of quantum information processing. The resulting modeling tools have been applied to semiconductor materials and nanostructures that show promise for implementation of coherent, controlled quantum dynamics at the level of registers of several quantum bits (qubits), such as spins. Many-body field-theoretical techniques have been utilized to address a spectrum of diverse research topics. Specifically, the theory of decoherence and more generally the origin and effects of quantum noise and the loss of entanglement in quantum dynamics of qubits and several-qubit registers has been advanced. Qubit coupling mechanisms via the indirect exchange interaction have been investigated, and quantum computing designs have been evaluated for scalability. We outline general and specific research challenges, the solution of which will advance the field of modeling "open quantum systems" to further our understanding of how environmental influences affect quantum coherence and its loss during quantum dynamics.

Quantum Decoherence Control Theory

Jincheng Zhang

This paper introduces a novel Quantum Decoherence Control Theory aimed at enhancing coherence times in quantum states through precise environmental noise management. The core mechanism relies on analyzing the impact of environmental noise on quantum states, utilizing quantum information theory and noise theory foundations to design targeted control strategies. Specifically, the theory proposes feedback control and quantum error correction techniques to suppress noise propagation and extend coherence times. Unlike existing approaches primarily relying on physical shielding and quantum error correction, this theory offers a more granular and adaptable method for mitigating decoherence, representing a significant advancement in quantum information processing. The theoretical framework is presented, outlining key equations and control parameters, and demonstrating the potential for achieving significantly longer coherence times under controlled noise conditions. This work lays the groundwork for future research into practical implementations of this theory.

量子退相干界面噪声注入理论:基于光学类比的平方律机制与实验验证

Futao Zhao

Quantum sensing and quantum computing face the core challenge of understanding and suppressing decoherence noise. Traditional noise models focus primarily on environmental parameters (temperature, magnetic field, charge density) but struggle to explain systematic differences in noise strength across material systems. Based on Zhao Futao’s Material Memory Theory, this work establishes a complete mathematical framework for quantum decoherence and interface noise injection. The theory is grounded in two axioms: the Material Memory Unit Axiom (all material systems carry and record their full evolutionary history, and evolution is the active response of memory) and the Matter-Consciousness Entanglement Unit Axiom (consciousness is a high-level entangled property of matter, with survival tendency as its simplest form). Using an optical analogy, we construct a unified theoretical chain from interface physics to macroscopic decoherence measurements.

Quantum correlations dynamics in qubit–qutrit system under magnetic and dephasing field

Muhammad Noman, Khushnood Shah, Lionel Tenemeza Kenfack +2 more

Abstract We investigate a hybrid qubit–qutrit system exposed to both a magnetic field and classical dephasing noise. The quantum system’s characteristics encompass diverse parameters, including spin-exchange interaction, dephasing, and the magnetic field. To incorporate thermal effects, we employ the system’s Hamiltonian to generate an initial qubit–qutrit density matrix within the framework of the Gibbs density operator. Furthermore, we model dephasing effects on the initial thermal state of the system using an Ornstein–Uhlenbeck process. We employ geometric discord, negativity, and entropic coherence functions to depict the quantum correlations across various parameter settings. Our results reveal that initially, quantum correlations attain non-maximal values, with their dynamics intricately reliant on the underlying system parameters. Specifically, when the system is primarily characterized by the magnetic field, we observe heightened levels of quantum correlations. Additionally, temperature-based characterization is found to have the most detrimental effect on the state. Geometric discord is observed to capture a higher degree of quantum correlations, albeit saturating rapidly at zero compared to entanglement and coherence. Finally, we investigated the effects of common environmental coupling and more pronounced non-Markovian dynamics in the system, revealing an enhanced preservation of quantum correlations. These modifications allow for prolonged coherence and entanglement, underscoring the potential of structured environmental interactions to mitigate decoherence effects and sustain quantum correlations over time.
