Landauer, Relative Entropy, and Fisher Length in Capacity Geometry

Abstract

Landauer, Relative Entropy, and Fisher Length in Capacity Geometry. This paper is a standalone companion note adjacent to the broader SGOC programme. It gives a thermodynamic translation of the capacity-geometry slow scalar Sc=−log⁡(1−R2)S_c = -\log(1 - R^2)Sc=−log(1−R2), working in a lane that is deliberately narrower than the programme’s quantum, inverse-probe, or many-body notes. Its central theorem-lane points are: the thermodynamically meaningful object is the normalized surprisal Sp=−log⁡p,p=e−Sc/Z[Sc]S_p = -\log p,\quad p = e^{-S_c}/Z[S_c]Sp=−logp,p=e−Sc/Z[Sc], not bare ScS_cSc, and this normalized lift is gauge invariant under additive shifts of ScS_cSc; Shannon entropy and relative entropy become endpoint ledgers of mean normalized capacity; the exact state-space Fisher audit is the weighted companion Ix[p]=Z[Sc]−1F0[Sc;Ω]I_x[p] = Z[S_c]^{-1}\mathcal{F}_0[S_c;\Omega]Ix[p]=Z[Sc]−1F0[Sc;Ω], so the precise probability-lane Fisher object is weighted and should not be conflated with the unweighted geometric audits REG0\mathrm{REG}_0REG0 or REG\mathrm{REG}REG; the control-space Fisher metric Iij(λ)=Cov⁡pλ(∂iSc,∂jSc)\mathcal{I}_{ij}(\lambda) = \operatorname{Cov}_{p_\lambda}(\partial_i S_c,\partial_j S_c)Iij(λ)=Covpλ(∂iSc,∂jSc) induces the natural protocol Fisher length and protocol action along a control path; no universal static single-state identity collapses entropy or Landauer cost into REG0\mathrm{REG}_0REG0 or F0\mathcal{F}_0F0. The paper is explicit about scope. It does not claim a new derivation of Landauer’s principle from the SGOC ledger alone, a completed read/write asymmetry theorem, a bulk-boundary theorem, or a many-body completion. Its claim is narrower and sharper: the thermodynamic lane of the capacity scalar can be written exactly in normalized capacity variables, with a clean separation between endpoint entropy, state-space Fisher localization, and protocol-space Fisher geometry. The Schrödinger Equation from Capacity Geometry: General forced-action theorem on a fixed capacity background

Nala Trees

This record contains Version 2.0 of The Schrödinger Equation from Capacity Geometry: General Forced-Action Theorem on a Fixed Capacity Background. Version 2.0 supersedes the earlier narrower local formulation (DOI: 10.5281/zenodo.19118007). The earlier record worked within a restricted quadratic-gradient density class. The present record proves the same result on the full local first-order homogeneous density class, with the weighted bulk-plus-flux bridge as the load-bearing structural principle rather than a minimality assumption on derivative order. The theorem lane is therefore broader, the claim boundaries are cleaner, and the companion-note dependence has been updated to reflect the current SGOC corpus. This record DOI. 10.5281/zenodo.19189901 should be treated as the source-of-record citation for the general fixed-background Schrödinger result. The paper proves a narrow but exact claim: within the full first-order homogeneous density class compatible with continuity-current structure, the Fisher-corrected Madelung action is the unique admissible action family up to the stated constant, and its Euler–Lagrange equations are exactly the Schrödinger equation. The decisive density correction is forced inside an upstream capacity-geometric theorem base rather than inserted by a diffusion or stochastic postulate. The logical scaffold is explicit and limited. Part 1A fixes the canonical logarithmic capacity scalar and the unique quadratic base tension. Parts 6 and 7A isolate the phase-blindness ceiling for the continuous quadratic sector. Part 6A sharpens the localisation-versus-smoothing and forced-balance framework. The present paper then shows that continuity-current compatibility fixes the phase sector, locality and first-order dependence force the full homogeneous density family, and a universal weighted bulk-plus-flux bridge with field-independent coefficients forces the Fisher form. The canonical member of that family is fixed by the bridge to the imported capacity scalar. In that precise sense the logical order at the Schrödinger layer is reversed: the geometric base comes first, and the Schrödinger action appears downstream of it. The claim is exact within its lane and no broader. This is a fixed-background, single-particle theorem stated away from nodal sets. It does not claim a many-body theory, a measurement theory, a relativistic completion, a full nodal-complement reconstruction theorem, or backreaction of the quantum sector on the background geometry. Appendix D records that on a nodal-complement component, once the phase-sensitive completion is an S¹-valued phase field, circulation quantisation and wavefunction reconstruction are automatic. Appendix G records a conditional H¹-closure lane inside the same fixed-background action. The discrete-curvature and branch-bookkeeping support used on nodal-complement triangulations belongs to the companion Closure Phase note, while the further complement-globalisation step belongs to the companion Relative Cohomology note. Entanglement Capacity from SGOC Slack Purity Slack, Rényi-2 Entropy, and the Modal Capacity Spectrum

Nala Trees

This paper is part of the SGOC programme and it identifies the canonical capacity scalar Sc with a standard quantum-information entropy on a declared entanglement branch. For a normalised pure-state bipartition A|B, when the multiplicative slack is taken to be the reduced-state purity, epsilon_A = Tr(rho_A^2), the capacity scalar is exactly the order-2 Rényi entropy, Sc,A|B = -log epsilon_A = S2(rho_A). This is not a new scalar definition. It is a branchwise identification of the already canonical SGOC scalar with the Rényi-2 entanglement entropy of the reduced state. The note checks the standard structural tests expected of such an identification: product pure states give zero capacity entropy; local unitary changes leave the scalar invariant; tensor products add because purities multiply; and the logarithmic form is canonical once a multiplicative purity slack is required to become an additive scalar coordinate. The paper also keeps the scalar/spectrum distinction explicit. The full von Neumann entropy is recovered from the modal capacities over the Schmidt spectrum, S_vN(rho_A) = sum_i lambda_i(-log lambda_i), not from a single scalar moment alone. Thus Sc records the Rényi-2 purity channel exactly, while the complete modal list is needed for full entropic bookkeeping. Within SGOC, the result gives the capacity scalar a clean entanglement reading. It strengthens the interpretation of Sc as a common scalar interface between capacity geometry, quantum structure, entropy language, and the gravity-facing lane, including the selected tensorial gravity packet to which this note is attached. The claim boundary is deliberately narrow. The paper does not claim that one scalar reconstructs arbitrary Schmidt spectra, does not derive unrestricted quantum gravity from entanglement, and does not replace established quantum-information entropy theory. It proves an exact identification on the declared purity-slack branch and records how that identification fits the existing SGOC scalar architecture. The Hydrogen Atom on a Capacity Background

Nala Trees

This record contains The Hydrogen Atom on a Capacity Background, a fixed-background hydrogenic toy-model note within the Spectral Geometry of Coherence (SGOC) programme. The paper is not a general derivation of quantum mechanics. Instead, it uses the imported capacity scalar and fixed-background framework as a controlled hydrogenic spectral and inverse-probe test bed. Its aim is to show how the capacity-background formalism can be used to organise, interpret, and recover hydrogenic structure in a mathematically disciplined toy-model setting. In that sense, it is a downstream application note rather than a foundational theorem paper. The claim is exact within its lane and no broader. This is a fixed-background, single-particle, hydrogenic toy-model analysis. It does not claim a relativistic completion, a many-body theory, a full measurement theory, or backreaction of the quantum sector on the background geometry. Nor does it replace the separate fixed-background action theorem proved in The Schrödinger Equation from Capacity Geometry. Within the SGOC programme, the paper should be read as a downstream companion to the foundational capacity-geometry notes and the general Schrödinger paper. Part 1 and Part 1A supply the intrinsic background conventions and the canonical capacity scalar, Part 7A supplies the phase-blindness ceiling relevant to the scope discussion, and the general Schrödinger paper supplies the separate phase-sensitive fixed-background action lane. The present note then uses that broader framework as a hydrogenic test case.
