Structural Foundations of Timeline-Relative Quantum Collapse presents a metric-free formulation of TRQC built from a discrete event ontology. The paper defines a nonempty set of events equipped with structural time ordering, an influence relation, primitive adjacency as locality, and a real collapse field. Classical behavior is not assumed to be universal. Instead, it is restricted to a projection domain defined by structural time validity, sufficient collapse roughness, and bounded structural shear. Observers are modeled as influence-forward chains of events, and structural aging is defined as accumulated stack depth along such chains, replacing metric proper time at the foundational level. An arrow of time is introduced through a layer-wise collapse brightness condition assumed to be nonincreasing in structural time. This work establishes the ontological and combinatorial primitives of TRQC without presupposing spacetime geometry, providing the conceptual foundation for its continuum Lorentzian realization. Companion Paper 5 (CP5) of the Dimensional Evolution project formalizes superposition as a deterministic geometric phenomenon arising from inverse-domain resonance, multi-shell compatibility, and tether-mediated stabilization. This paper replaces probabilistic interpretations of quantum superposition with a structured resonance-scan model in which overlapping inverse-domain shells coexist until resonant lock selects a stable configuration. Interference, decoherence, and collapse are shown to emerge from geometric compatibility rather than observation. CP5 integrates directly with DE Core v1, CP1 (Resonant Selection), CP2 (Dimensional Gravity), CP3 (Multi-Scale Collapse Geometry), and CP4 (Entanglement and Inverse-Domain Symmetry), completing the geometric framework for superposition and collapse across quantum, classical, and relativistic regimes. --- Project website: https://de-theory.com This work is part of the Dimensional Evolution research program. The Collapse of Time explores a foundational reversal in quantum theory, proposing that time emerges from the process of wavefunction collapse rather than acting as a pre-existing background. Probability is treated as quantum possibility that becomes classical reality through irreversible collapse events. In contrast to gravity-induced collapse models, this framework examines whether collapse itself may generate temporal structure and gravitational imprinting. The work complements geometric collapse approaches by reframing the quantum-to-classical transition as the physical origin of time, causality, and classical structure. This paper is intended as a conceptual exploration. For the complete formal geometric framework, please use the link below..
ΔC Rupture and Decoherence: Quantum Collapse as Bandwidth Failure in a Stiffened Causal Substrate (v2.0) This paper concludes the six-part ΔC physics series. It extends the dynamic causal substrate model into the quantum regime, proposing a mechanical resolution to the long-standing problem of wavefunction collapse. We present a framework in which quantum collapse is not a spontaneous or observer-driven event, but a deterministic failure mode: the rupture of a finite-bandwidth causal substrate when informational load exceeds structural capacity. Core Results: Bandwidth Saturation: The substrate supports a maximum local update rate, Φ_max, beyond which superposition states can no longer be sustained. Collapse Mechanism: Quantum collapse occurs when total causal load exceeds the local bandwidth limit, triggering a discontinuous substrate rupture. Born Rule Emergence: Collapse probabilities are shown to scale with substrate tension associated with each eigenstate, providing a mechanical derivation of quantum statistics. Stiffness Equation: Incorporates the nonlinear stiffening law ζ(Φ), previously defined in Papers 1–5, now extended to define rupture conditions at the quantum limit. Experimental Validation: We analyze recent results from Aguilar & Lutz (2026), who demonstrated work extraction from quantum heat engines beyond the Carnot limit. We interpret this as empirical support for "Registry Lock" — a causal saturation effect predicted by the ΔC model during entangled state loading. Version 2.0 Updates: Complete formalization of the collapse threshold using substrate stiffness and bandwidth equations Integration of stiffness dynamics across gravitational, inertial, temporal, and quantum domains Empirical connection to 2026 Stuttgart experiments on quantum thermodynamics Series Summary: This work completes the ΔC framework, unifying the geometry of General Relativity with the probabilistic behavior of Quantum Mechanics through a common substrate-based formalism: Paper 1: A Dynamic ΔC Substrate for Gravity and Electromagnetism Paper 2: Δ₀ — The Universal Return Field Paper 3: Gravipressure — Gravity and Time Dilation as Substrate Mechanics Paper 4: The Chronon Field — Inertia and Causal Latency Paper 5: Time Is Not a Dimension — Causal Accumulation in a Discrete Substrate Paper 6: ΔC Rupture and Decoherence — Quantum Collapse DOI References: Paper 1: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17073364 Paper 2: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17073638 Paper 3: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17082227 Paper 4: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17089747 Paper 5: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.17148920
We present a reconstruction of quantum collapse within the FCF framework, where geometry and temporality are secondary expressions of a substrate of correlations, and where two magnitudes are conserved independently: c(structural-relativistic) and the quantum change q, bound together by τ = c+ q. We hold that collapse is neither an additional postulate nor a fundamental physical process, but rather the geometric re-expression of a correlation, constituted in the receiver frame. The expression / non-expression cycle T₁ → T₂ → T₃ reconstructs, without merely juxtaposing them, the two dynamics that standard quantum mechanics postulates separately —unitary evolution and projection. We show that the Born rule is derived, not postulated, as the only measure compatible with the restriction structure of the receiving Hilbert space (Gleason’s theorem), anchoring the orthomodular lattice in the program’s co-genesis theorem (Document 7); and that the impossibility of non-contextual hidden variables (Kochen–Specker theorem) falls out of that same structure. Probability is ontologically localized in the temporal domain T₂–T₃; the photon (τ = 0, level T₁) appears as the revealing limit that proves the seat of Born is always the receiving Hilbert space. We offer a dual reading —consistent with itself and with observation—between the language of quantum fields and their fluctuations and the language of type-1/2/3 correlations. We then develop the gravitational sector, where asingle commitment—gravity couples to the mean correlational structure (the c-side), not to the quantum branches—performs a fourfold function: it dissolves the conflict between collapse and covariant conservation of energy-momentum (Page–Geilker / DeWitt), predicts the absence of gravity-induced entanglement(falsifiable by Bose–Marletto–Vedral-type experiments), and blocks the superluminal signaling of nonlinear semiclassical theories (Gisin’s no-signaling condition, a ρ̂-fed prescription). The article closes with a register of critical dependencies —DERIVED / MOTIVATED PROPOSAL / OPEN PROBLEM—and with the registered falsifiers, locating the falsifiability of the FCF in its differentiating predictions, not in its internal coherence.
