Abstract

a pair of essays (Korean/English) exploring an intuitive perspective on gravity as a time-component gradient in the weak-field Newtonian limit, and a cautious discussion on temporal coarse-graining (time-resolution limits) as an interpretation aid (not a replacement) for quantum behavior.

Beyond Temporal Coarse-Graining Reinterpreting the Quantum Wavefunction as a Temporal Ensemble Average

Nathan Gamal Nasser

This research introduces the Vector-Star Probability Dynamics (VSPD) framework, a relativistic approach to measurement theory centered on the principle of Gravitationally Enhanced Temporal Resolution . Moving beyond spatial "zooming" metaphors, the VSPD framework explores how gravitational gradients near massive bodies induce significant time dilation, which serves as a mechanism for gravitational resolution enhancement . A core tenet of this framework is that the quantum wavefunction does not represent fundamental ontological randomness; rather, it is a temporal ensemble average resulting from a non-zero measurement epoch (Δt) . In the low-gravity (flat) spacetime of typical observations, this epoch produces a time-averaged projection—a process termed temporal coarse-graining—which obscures underlying deterministic dynamics . By leveraging the relativistic narrowing of these measurement epochs, the VSPD framework reveals extended spacetime structures, specifically coherent geodesic bundles within the manifold . These deterministic structures, typically blurred in flat spacetime, become resolvable under strong gravitational fields . This framework provides the mathematical and physical basis for identifying deterministic behavior within the spacetime manifold and connects these theoretical insights to empirical signatures in several key fields: Gravitational-wave spectroscopy Cosmology Stellar astrophysics This upload contains the primary theoretical documentation and visual validation analyses supporting the VSPD framework’s interpretation of relativistic measurement theory.

Derivation of the quantum-optical master equation based on coarse-graining of time

Kevin A. Fischer

This is a derivation of the quantum-optical master equation using coarse-graining of time, which aims at exploring Markovian evolution from a microscopic perspective. Here, coarse-graining refers to finding an approximate evolution operator by integrating over a time step Δ t , and considering the field states to be approximated by a similarly coarse-grained basis. By using these ideas and keeping the field states coarse-grained throughout the derivation, I explore the past-future independence of the quantum white noise formalism explicitly. Namely, that a quantum-optical system interacting with a vacuum field may be viewed as sequentially interacting with a series of initially uncorrelated and temporally coarse-grained vacuum states—this process leads to correlations only between the system and the time bins which have interacted with the system in the past, along with a Markovian evolution of the reduced system state. The derivation here may also be viewed in terms of a type of quantum-mechanical path integral.

Paul Cooney

This paper explores the non–coarse-grained regime of ordered dynamics, revealing a naturally discrete structure underlying quantum gravitational behavior. Discreteness arises from finite record resolution and bounded influence rather than imposed lattice assumptions.
