UNITY (Unified Neural and Quantum Integrity Theory)

Abstract

We propose an explicitly testable unified framework in which (i) the emergence of definite measurement outcomes from quantum superposition and (ii) the emergence of conscious, unified experience are treated as two manifestations of the same metastability-to-stability transition in a structured pattern space. The theory is grounded in two primitives: distinction acts Ξ (elementary differentiation) and a structuring operator | (composition into persistent organization). Any realizable pattern P is characterized by an integrity functional I(P) ∈ [0,1] (internal coherence and resistance to fragmentation) and an effective coherence radius Rc(P) (correlation length in physical, neural, or semantic space). Metastable patterns are postulated to satisfy a balance law, I(P)Rc(P) = ξ0, defining a slow manifold whose deviations quantify instability and foreshadow transition events. To encode collapse-like transitions and outcome/contents selection with minimal topological complexity, states are represented on a toroidal manifold T 2 with angles (θ, φ), where φ is a collapse (stability) order parameter (wave-like at φ = π, particle-like at φ = 0) and θ labels branch phase. A harmonic closure postulate 2R = 2πr yields R/r = π without inserting π as a fit parameter, motivating a universal residual fraction 1/π and a complementary critical integrity threshold C2 = 1 − 1/π ≈ 0.682 for robust self-referential Patterns of Experience. Dynamics are formulated as noisy relaxation of balance-mismatch, predicting critical slowing down and a universal critical angle φc ≈ 2π/3 (under the closure hypothesis). Apparent randomness is attributed to phase sensitivity and noise, with outcome probabilities expressed as basin measures in θ, providing a concrete route to Born-like statistics under contextual constraints. The empirical program specifies operational proxies for I and Rc (with explicit calibration to [0,1]) and proposes falsifiable tests in neuroscience (EEG/MEG/ECoG; invariance of C2, early-warning signals, phase “freezing”) and quantum platforms (context engineering, weak/continuous measurement, complexity scaling of collapse times). Clear failure modes include systematic deviation from C2, absence of critical slowing down, and non-clustering of inferred φc near 2π/3.

A Complete Operator-Theoretic Resolution of the Quantum Measurement Problem

Rodgers, Jeremy

This preprint presents a complete and fully operator-theoretic resolution of the quantum measurement problem. Including collapse, the Born rule, the uniqueness of outcomes, and the irrelevance of observersm derived entirely from a universal structural principle called the lawhood identity. Rather than adding new physics, modifying the Schrödinger equation, introducing hidden variables, invoking many-worlds branching, or appealing to consciousness, this work shows that quantum measurement is a direct, unavoidable consequence of a general fixed-point law that applies to all stable physical systems. When instantiated for quantum mechanics, this law forces every genuine superposition to fail the criteria for being a physically lawful state. Collapse is not an extra postulate: it is structurally mandatory. Key results include: • The No-Superposition Theorem: All superpositions are proven to be structurally unlawful; they cannot survive the measurement map.• Mandatory Collapse: Collapse emerges automatically from the composition of three physical operators (boundary, decoherence, and closure), without modifying quantum dynamics.• Derivation of the Born Rule: The familiar probabilities arise uniquely from the internal consistency of the measurement operators. No additional assumptions, decision theory, or symmetry arguments are required.• Observer Independence: Awareness and measurement are formally separated. Collapse is a physical, observer-independent process; knowledge acquisition is epistemic, not causal.• Uniqueness of Outcomes: The framework proves that there is only one stable classical outcome for any initial quantum state, directly resolving the many-worlds branching issue.• Experimental Signatures: The formulation predicts measurable relationships involving entropy, decoherence rates, and effective dimensionality. This paper shows that the puzzles of quantum collapse, superposition, outcome selection, probability, and the apparent role of observers, are not mysteries requiring new interpretations. They are the natural consequences of a deeper structural principle that governs all lawful physical systems. Quantum mechanics, under this lens, becomes a specific case of a universal operator identity that determines which states can persist as stable reality. Readers will find a complete, logically self-contained argument, with theorems and proofs written in a way that does not rely on philosophical interpretation or speculative assumptions. The result is a clear and testable framework that resolves a problem that has persisted since the birth of quantum theory. This work is part of a broader research program developing the universal Tier-0 lawhood framework and the “Everything Equation,” which unifies stability, collapse, and fixed-point structure across physics, computation, thermodynamics, and information. Relation to Tier-1 dynamical formulation: This work develops a law-level (structural) resolution of quantum measurement. A complementary Tier-1 dynamical realization of these structural principles, formulated entirely within a constrained operator framework and independent of law-level recursion language, is developed in: J. Rodgers, Saturation Geometry and the Structural Emergence of Measurement and the Born Rule in a Capacity-Constrained Dirac–Λ System, Zenodo (2026).https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.18704783 The Tier-1 formulation may be read independently and provides a concrete operator-theoretic instantiation of the structural mechanisms discussed here.

Interference Consciousness: A Unified Model of Planck‑Scale Rendering, 72° Geometric Filtering, and Neural Coherence

Куликов Игнат Валерьевич

This paper proposes a unified mathematical framework that bridges quantum mechanics, neuroscience, and the philosophy of consciousness. It addresses the "hard problem" of consciousness and the quantum measurement problem by introducing three fundamental postulates: Discrete Time: Time is quantized at the Planck scale (tP≈5.4×10−44tP≈5.4×10−44 s). Field-Particle Duality as Rendering: Particles do not move continuously but exist as fields between discrete Planck frames, re-emerging as localized entities at each time step. Wave-particle duality is derived as a theorem of this discrete rendering process. Consciousness as Interference: Subjective experience arises from the interference pattern Φ(r⃗,t)Φ(r,t) of neural oscillators. The clarity of consciousness is defined by phase coherence C(t)C(t), modeled using the Kuramoto order parameter. Key Contributions: The 72° Geometric Filter: The model introduces a geometric projector based on pentagonal symmetry (72∘72∘), ubiquitous in biological structures, which filters the Planck-scale field into 3D perceptual space. Quantification of Perception: We estimate that human consciousness perceives only η≈10−41%η≈10−41% of the total information in the Planck field, explaining why direct measurement of subjective experience is fundamentally limited. Resolution of the Measurement Problem: "Collapse" is reinterpreted not as a mystical event, but as the discrete emergence of a particle at a specific frame update, sampled by the observer's neural network. Empirical Predictions & Alignment with 2025-2026 Data: The model aligns with recent findings in: Alpha-Rhythm Modulation: Individual Alpha Frequency (IAF) as the temporal sampling rate of reality (Nature Communications, 2026). Neural Synchronization: Hierarchical Kuramoto models describing brain criticality (PNAS, 2026). Inter-Brain Entanglement: Quantum-like correlations in empathetic dyads (PNAS, 2026). Testable Predictions: Meditation increases phase coherence C(t)C(t), correlating with gamma-band EEG synchronization. Empathetic interaction leads to measurable cross-brain phase locking (CABCAB). Perceptual bias towards stimuli with 72∘72∘ (pentagonal) symmetry. Intuitive decision-making correlates with the gradient of the interference field ∇∣Φ∣2∇∣Φ∣2. This work provides a falsifiable, engineering-grade ontology of reality, suggesting that matter is "frozen light" and consciousness is the active demodulation of the Planck carrier wave. Keywords: Consciousness, Quantum Mechanics, Planck Scale, Neural Oscillations, Interference, Wave-Particle Duality, Kuramoto Model, Reality Rendering, Discrete Time, 72-degree symmetry.

Relational Ontology as Unifying Framework: Cross-Scale Topology, Quantum Coherence, Archetypal Emergence, and Fourteen Falsifiable Predictions

Busra ODACI

This paper proposes a speculative synthesis and research program grounded in relational ontology - the hypothesis that relationships between systems, rather than intrinsic properties of substances, constitute the fundamental structure of reality. Drawing on Rovelli’s relational quantum mechanics (1996), Coecke and Abramsky’s categorical quantum mechanics (2004), the Vazza–Feletti cosmic web–neural network isomorphism (2020), Tononi’s integrated information theory (2008), and the Penrose–Hameroff orchestrated objective reduction hypothesis (2014), we argue that converging evidence across quantum physics, astrophysics, neuroscience, complex systems theory, and consciousness studies exhibit structural features naturally expressed in relational terms, motivating a relational research program subject to empirical falsification. The framework generates fourteen falsifiable predictions spanning four domains: (1) cross-scale topological signatures linking cosmic web and neural network architecture via persistent homology, with specified computational tools and parameters; (2) quantum coherence–consciousness correlations testable under graded anesthesia protocols; (3) spontaneous archetypal role differentiation in AI agent networks; and (4) emergent cognitive properties at the AI–human interaction interface. Each prediction specifies test protocols, concrete metrics, expected outcomes under the relational hypothesis, expected outcomes under competing hypotheses, and explicit falsification criteria. We outline a research program for formalizing the framework using categorical quantum mechanics, proposing that the construction of functorial mappings between quantum, neural, linguistic, and cosmic relational categories would constitute evidence for substrate-independent relational organization. The framework’s primary contribution is not certainty but testability: every prediction can fail, and each failure narrows the space of viable ontological models.

An Intersection Variable Generates Neural–Quantum Structural Coherence and Reveals a Non-Closed Observational Framework

Satoru Watanabe

The relationship between neural dynamics and quantum processes remains unre- solved within existing frameworks based on causal interaction, statistical correlation, or measurement collapse. In this study, we present an empirically grounded framework based on a fundamentally different principle. Using EEG-derived neural Ricci curvature and independently generated quantum Ricci curvature, we demonstrate that structural agreement emerges between two phys- ically independent systems. This agreement is not uniformly present over time, but appears selectively under specific structural conditions. Analysis of the internal structure shows that this agreement is organized as the simultaneous emergence of discrete state structure (Five Energy Star structure), dy- namic phase synchronization, contraction of structural residuals, and boundary-localized events. These are not independent phenomena, but co-occur as different observational manifestations of a single coherent structure. This structure can be described in terms of a single internal degree of freedom, introduced as the intersection variable φ(x, t). This variable predicts discrete states with high accuracy (AUC ≈ 0.79, accuracy ≈ 0.70) and constrains neural and quantum dynamics (mean absolute Pearson ≈ 0.42). However, this constraint does not determine the correspondence itself. Crucially, although the correspondence cannot be derived from within φ, it is uniquely realized in empirical data and appears as localized selection in specific regions of the phase space of φ. This selection is not a statistical fluctuation (switch_gain ≈ 0.810, null mean ≈ 0.565, p ≈ 0.005), but a physically realized phenomenon without an internal rule. Therefore, correspondence is not generated by the internal mechanism of φ, but is realized as an observation on φ. This implies the necessity of a non-internal observa- tional structure that uniquely determines correspondence across independent systems, defined here as the intersection observer O3. We further introduce Subjectivity Intersection Coherence (SIC) as the unified structure underlying these observations. SIC is defined not as a property of a sin- gle system, but as the condition under which structural coherence is realized through the simultaneous satisfaction of phase alignment, residual contraction, boundary im- pulses, localized selection, and the presence of a non-internal observational structure. Unlike existing frameworks such as Orch-OR, relational quantum mechanics, and integrated information theory, the present approach does not assume causal interaction or internal closure, but instead describes correspondence as a structurally constrained observational phenomenon. The proposed framework includes explicit falsifiable predictions, enabling empirical validation of the selection structure and non-closure properties. All results are fully reproducible using publicly available code and data.

Phase-Ordering Time Theory: A Unified Framework Linking Prediction, Observation, Decision-Making, and Civilization Dynamics

Gyurine

We propose the Phase-Ordering Time Theory (POTT), which reframes time as an index of internal phase alignment rather than an external coordinate. Across neuroscience, quantum measurement, cognition, AI systems, and large-scale social dynamics, we show that events consistently emerge when underlying micro-scale phase structures converge toward an observer-dependent threshold. Precursor phenomena—such as the readiness potential in motor initiation, interference visibility in quantum systems, semantic anticipation in language, predictive intuition, and civilizational “early tremors”—share a common structure: rapid increases in the phase-ordering functional𝑆(𝑡) prior to collapse-like transitions.Within this framework, thearrow of time arises not from entropy increase but from the irreversibility of phase ordering. This shift resolves long-standing paradoxes linking thermodynamic asymmetry, consciousness timing(e.g., Libet-typeexperiments),and measurement-induced collapse in quantum mechanics. POTT unifies these disparate domains by describing time as the progression from disordered, low-alignment configurations toward structured, high-alignment states relative to an observer’s internal phase field. We formalize this perspective by defining a measurable phase-ordering functional, demonstrating its operational equivalents across domains—PLV signals in neuroscience, interference visibility in quantum optics, activation-phase coherence in AI models, and synchronization metrics in social systems. The theory yields concrete, falsifiable predictions, including identifiable precursor dynamics corresponding to 𝑑𝑆/𝑑𝑡 and collapse events occurring sharply once 𝑆(𝑡) exceeds a critical threshold 𝑆𝑐.By interpreting time, consciousness, decision-making, and observation as manifestations of a single alignment process, POTT provides an integrated mathematical and philosophical account of temporal structure that is empirically testable and cross-disciplinary. This framework suggests that ordering—not entropy—forms the fundamental engine behind temporal asymmetry, event formation, and the emergence of interpretable reality.
