The Born rule connects squared amplitudes with the frequencies of recorded outcomes. This preprint constructs that connection through two explicit mechanisms: the square is a lattice index; probability is a fixation share. Complex multiplication on a lattice of rank two produces a contact layer whose cardinality equals the squared modulus of the register content. Loading one unit at each contact turns this arithmetic count into conserved mass. Fair transfers redistribute the units until a single contact survives. A bounded-martingale argument then gives each contact a winning probability equal to its initial share. Within the specified interaction class, the resulting Born law is exact, holds from every initial clock address, and is independent of the encounter schedule, provided fairness and completion are maintained. Polarization of the contact count also recovers the Hermitian geometry of the register. A single object, harmonic mass, connects the outcome law to the arrow of fixation. Its normalized coordinates give the conditional probabilities of future records, while its positive support can only shrink: an excluded alternative cannot return during the same run. The paper develops finite certificates for this structure, including sectorwise balance and a characterization of robustness under causal changes of the interaction parameter. Protected block outputs yield the sequential Born–Lüders law. Rational generalized measurements admit exact integer dilations and use the same fixation mechanism. Quantitative continuity gives a unique extension to arbitrary finite-dimensional states and measurements; controlled truncations extend the probability law to normal states on separable Hilbert spaces, including continuous spectra. The construction also makes the resources of recording calculable. Exact transfer costs, bounds on deviations from the Born law, retention times, and slow recording-error dynamics are derived. A temporal certificate reconstructs contact masses from activity measurements independently of winner frequencies. Developed within the Theory of Structural Articulation, the paper provides a complete finite event-source realization and a criterion for transferring its law to other physical carriers. Application to a particular recording process requires independent verification of contact loading, interaction balance, completion, and protection of the recorded block.

The Geometric Block Universe is a single completed geometric structure - a compact curved space carrying fields - in which every history compatible with the laws is present, together with the records that observers hold within it. Nothing in the block evolves. What an observer calls time is a relational ordering of records by internal coordinates, with a geometric direction, the logarithm of total volume, serving as the clock; where that clock stalls, a second clock built from accumulated volume carries the ordering through. Records are stable, mutually exclusive cells of a finite record space, the harmonics of low degree on a three-sphere, and an observer is a body that writes and reads such records. Three things that ordinary quantum mechanics must postulate are absent from this picture. There is no collapse: a measurement selects nothing, because every compatible outcome is already realised and a definite result is definite only relative to the observer's own record. There is no splitting of universes: the histories are labelled components of one structure, the number of them is not a primitive quantity, and nothing multiplies when a record is written. And there is no fundamental probability: the block contains only counts of qualified observer occurrences, and what an observer experiences as chance is self-location - the fraction of its own occurrences that carry a given record. Probability is an emergent appearance, not an ingredient. This paper shows that the quantum weights follow from counting. An earlier rigidity theorem of the programme showed that a positive linear incidence functional invariant under full-carrier heat resolution is proportional to volume, so that normalised incidence equals an inherited geometric density; the Born form of that density was an input, and this paper removes it. Three statements about counting- that the count of occurrences in a set of record points is the integral of a density depending on the amplitude at the point, that one attempt counts one, and that a non-interacting reader's counts cannot depend on a distant preparation, force the density to be the squared amplitude, with presence, unit counting, affinity and Born proportions for every sharp reader as consequences rather than assumptions. The Born weight is the conserved charge of the phase symmetry of each record, exact for the recorder the theory already contains, and its push-forward over states is the uniform reference distribution that earlier readers haad to be given by hand. The affine structure that makes counts quadratic is not free either: it is the positive first-order structure of the clock direction, derived for a clock that is a symmetry, and it survives the de Sitter trajectory the geometry selects with a bounce mixing 1/sinh²(πν) that is the same for every record mode. The recorder is realised on the canonical records of the five-rung carrier as a complete observer: it writes exactly distinguishable records at discrete pointer displacements, samples its pointer at the rate set by the evaluation overlap spectrum, and returns the branch weight with no threshold, no reference population and no preparation law; where the two records are not exactly distinguishable, the deviation from Born proportions is bounded and second order in their overlap. What remains assumed is stated once: that counting is local on the record manifold, that an attempt counts one, the selection of the record space, the standing of the recorder, and the identification of occurrence fraction with first-person credence. An unconditional derivation is not claimed. One consequence differs from quantum mechanics with continuous pointers and is recorded as a candidate signature: a recorded two-branch superposition decoheres, as a function of the write duration, with exact nulls, a partial revival of 21/91 at half the pointer period, full recurrence when the fibre closes, and a residual average coherence of 9/91.
Symmersion and the Born Rule develops a conditional structural reconstruction of quantum probability from conserved binary distinction, exchange completion, reciprocal conjugation, quadratic norm, orthogonal outcome channels, and stochastic event closure. The Born rule assigns the probability of an outcome represented by an orthogonal projector Π_j as: P_j = ⟨ψ|Π_j|ψ⟩ For a state expanded in an orthonormal basis, |ψ⟩ = Σ_j c_j |j⟩ the corresponding outcome weights are: P_j = |c_j|² Complex amplitude, conjugation, quadratic norm, orthogonal decomposition, normalization, and stochastic realization are individually standard. The question addressed here is why they may belong to one structural architecture, and why the reciprocal pair underlying complex conjugation should exist in the first place. The paper introduces symmersion as the minimal exchange-completion of a realized asymmetric law. If J is an involutive exchange satisfying J² = I, then the exchange action on a law A is: A -> JAJ and its symmersion is: Symm_J(A) = {A, JAJ} with the singleton case understood when JAJ = A. For a positive binary projective law with ratio coordinate r, the exchange-conjugate map satisfies: f_JAJ(r) = 1 / f_A(1/r) Whenever the original map has a positive fixed point r*, the exchange-conjugate map has the reciprocal fixed point: r*^-1 The distinguishability tension tau(r) = r / (1 + r)² is invariant under inversion: tau(1/r) = tau(r) Symmersion therefore produces reciprocal conjugacy base-generally. It does not by itself select the golden ratio. Applied to the conserved binary recurrence L_(n+1) = L_n + S_nS_(n+1) = L_n with matrix A_+ = [[1, 1], [1, 0]] the projective ratio satisfies: r_(n+1) = 1 + 1/r_n Its unique positive fixed point is the golden ratio: phi = (1 + sqrt(5)) / 2 The exchange-conjugate law is: A_- = J A_+ J = [[0, 1], [1, 1]] and its positive fixed point is: phi^-1 The completed law orbit therefore contains reciprocal equilibria: {phi, phi^-1} The golden ratio enters only through the upstream selection of the conserved binary recurrence. The later reciprocal and complex constructions do not independently privilege phi. Symmersion initially produces an orbit of laws, while the amplitude construction requires a simultaneous reciprocal pair within one state. The Equivariant Pairing Proposition supplies this step. Under the exchange embedding x -> (x, Jx) the paired evolution A_+ ⊕ A_- preserves the relation: x_n^- = Jx_n^+ Consequently, the projective coordinates remain exactly reciprocal at every step: r_n^- = 1 / r_n^+ This is not merely an equilibrium relation. The reciprocal pair is maintained throughout the paired evolution. One interpretive commitment remains explicit: the complete physical state is represented by the exchange orbit, realized as the equivariantly paired state, rather than by one arbitrarily selected representative. The reciprocal fixed-point pair is then extended continuously. If F satisfies F(0) = 1F(s + t) = F(s)F(t)F(1) = phi and F is continuous and positive, then: F(s) = phi^s with: F(-s) = phi^(-s) = 1/F(s) The continuous reciprocal branches are therefore: r_+(s) = A phi^sr_-(s) = A phi^(-s) Their product is invariant: r_+(s) r_-(s) = A² and their ratio carries signed asymmetry: r_+(s) / r_-(s) = phi^(2s) After phase calibration, the reciprocal pair can be mapped to a complex amplitude. Under this correspondence: branch product -> squared modulusbranch ratio -> phasebranch exchange -> complex conjugation The state is linear in its amplitude carrier but quadratic in its invariant completion: Psi* Psi = |Psi|² For two orthogonal amplitude magnitudes a and b, Euclidean composition gives: combined magnitude = sqrt(a² + b²) If a non-negative observable weight W satisfies: W(sqrt(a² + b²)) = W(a) + W(b) and W(1) = 1 then the unique admissible weight is: W(a) = a² The exponent two is therefore fixed by Euclidean orthogonal composition together with non-negative additivity and normalization. Repeatable resolution requires an idempotent channel map: P² = P If the resolved component and its complement also satisfy the Pythagorean identity ||ψ||² = ||Pψ||² + ||(I - P)ψ||² for every ψ, then P must be an orthogonal projector: P = P† For a complete family of mutually orthogonal projectors satisfying Π_j Π_k = delta_jk Π_j and Σ_j Π_j = I the norm decomposes as: ||ψ||² = Σ_j ||Π_j ψ||² For a normalized state: Σ_j ||Π_j ψ||² = 1 and the quadratic channel weights are: P_j = ||Π_j ψ||² = ⟨ψ|Π_j|ψ⟩ At this stage the Born weights are established as normalized channel weights. To obtain terminal event frequencies, the paper enters a finite-dimensional, norm-preserving Wiener closure class with a single closure rate Gamma_cl > 0. Within this class, Ito norm preservation fixes the drift-diffusion relation, each spectral weight is a bounded martingale, and absorption into one terminal event sector yields: Prob(event j) = |⟨j|ψ_0⟩|² The numerical value of Gamma_cl affects the temporal profile of closure but not the terminal Born frequencies. The stochastic mechanism is mathematically continuous with the established collapse-model and quantum-state-diffusion literature. The proposed contribution is not the discovery of the martingale route itself. It is the structural argument motivating the reciprocal geometry, the transition into a norm-preserving closure class, and the exclusion of an independent rate arising solely from branch orientation. The full conditional chain is: unity-> co-constituted distinction-> conserved asymmetric recurrence-> exchange-conjugate law orbit-> equivariantly paired state-> exact reciprocal coordinates-> continuous reciprocal flow-> complex conjugate amplitude-> quadratic norm-> orthogonal channel weights-> Born event frequency The claim boundary is explicit. The matrix identities are elementary and their novelty is claimed architecturally rather than computationally. Symmersion produces reciprocal structure but does not independently select phi. The physical representation of the complete state by the exchange orbit remains an interpretive premise. The Euclidean composition law, the selected stochastic closure class, and the single source-level closure rate are stated assumptions or inherited structural premises. The paper does not claim an unconditional derivation of all quantum mechanics, a new physical sector, or an experimental confirmation of symmersion. The companion validation ledger, validate_symmersion.py, implements 63 checks keyed to the paper’s numbered equations and results. SymPy verifies the implemented algebraic identities exactly, including exchange conjugacy, equivariant pairing, reciprocal flow, amplitude reconstruction, quadratic composition, orthogonality checks, and symbolic Ito drift-diffusion relations. NumPy tests the numerical consistency of selected dynamical and stochastic claims through direct iteration, random-law checks, and Monte Carlo simulation. The stochastic simulations reproduce two-state and three-state Born frequencies within the stated Monte Carlo tolerances, support the martingale behaviour of spectral weights, and are statistically consistent with closure-rate independence of terminal frequencies. The script does not mechanically prove the functional uniqueness arguments, interpretive premises, imported literature results, or physical validity. Those elements are proved in the paper, supported through cited literature, or stated explicitly as assumptions. The result is a completed finite-dimensional structural reconstruction under declared premises, supplying the previously missing exchange-completion origin of the simultaneous reciprocal pair on which the later Born architecture depends. This revised paper connects conditional history counting, reciprocal contact mechanics, phys-ical readout, and Bell-correlation audits without identifying their distinct observables. A re-versible substochastic history operator yields an exact two-sided midpoint law and a squaredprincipal-mode limit. The inherited contact Hamiltonian supplies conserved work, returningfield memory, directional receiving forces, and source-mediated access to compact circulationmodes. A finite disturbance can change a receiver mode initially absent from the pulse, butautonomous retention and a binary recording law remain unestablished. An internal phasepair separated by forty-five degrees has equal initial energy and loading yet opposite inventoryflow; its subsequent fields are distinguishable. Local phase ambiguity alone cannot exceed thecomplete-trial Bell bound. Continuous-signal normalization, detection selection, and coinci-dence selection can reproduce the numerical quantum score under explicitly different statisticaldefinitions. A separate forward-causal, stochastic setting construction attains the four targetcorrelations by abandoning measurement independence; its bias is selected rather than physi-cally derived. The successful inherited joint-pointer benchmark remains explicitly nonlocal. Anew, readable, self-contained program implements the specified mechanics and mathematicalaudits from scratch. The results establish conditional mathematics and testable mechanicalrequirements, not an unconditional Born rule or a completed local explanation of spacelike Bellviolations.
Exactly 100 years ago, Max Born introduced the rule that quantum amplitudes must be squared to produce observed probabilities. The rule became foundational to quantum mechanics, but the deeper question remained: why should nature use the square at all? This paper argues that the answer is connected to time itself. Time does not necessarily need to be treated as a fundamental external background. It can be reconstructed operationally from correlations between an internal quantum clock and the system it measures. We ask which amplitude weighting allows such a relational clock to remain autonomous while the system undergoes general unitary change. Only the quadratic case survives. Restricted transformations leave many alternatives possible, but full unitary mixing isolates the square. The same quadratic structure is then shown to generate the unique additive measure of stable quantum records under explicit record-functionality conditions, through a calibration argument that does not assume the Born rule. A final first-passage argument shows how that measure can be realised as one stable record and, across repeated trials, as observed frequencies. The central result is therefore a convergence: the operational emergence of time and the Born square are not separate features added independently to quantum mechanics. Once phase-bearing Hilbert structure is granted, an autonomous relational clock and a consistent physical record system both select the same quadratic structure. The paper does not claim that time is fundamentally absent or derive Hilbert space from deeper physics. It establishes that an external fundamental time parameter is not operationally necessary, and that relational time reconstruction converges on the same structure responsible for the Born rule. The deeper physical origin of phase, time and the square is developed in the later papers of the MD-BR-26 sequence.
This paper develops a reconstruction of probability that does not begin by assuming a probability space, a probability simplex, or the Born rule. Instead, it asks a prior foundational question: under what physical and mathematical conditions are a set of alternatives entitled to carry positive, additive probabilities at all? The construction begins with lawful histories, future interfaces, and retained records. It distinguishes coherent alternatives from exclusive empirical events, preventing multiple interfering routes from being mistaken for separate probabilistic outcomes. A future-sufficient quotient identifies distinctions that no admitted future test can detect, while a record-qualification step determines when alternatives have become genuine empirical events. Dagger-compatible comparison and positive record factorization then produce a positive comparison kernel, from which normalized event probabilities arise only after the relevant record sectors are certified as exclusive. The framework is extended beyond individual measurements. Compatible finite record refinements generate a global probability measure under explicit realizability conditions; stochastic kernels provide a compositional calculus for carrying probabilistic information through unresolved future structure; and locally classical measurement contexts are assembled into a single positive state on a generally non-Boolean effect structure. This allows globally coherent probability to exist even when no context-independent deterministic assignment of outcomes exists. On a reflection-positive Hilbert-space branch, admissible future contexts are represented by positive effects and positive normalized states by density operators. The Born state-effect law then appears as the finite-dimensional representation of a probability structure that has already been earned through record qualification, positivity, exclusivity, refinement, and contextual consistency rather than introduced as a primitive postulate. The paper also separates two mechanisms that are often conflated: quadratic Born-type weighting arises from dagger self-comparison, whereas equal probabilities for symmetric alternatives arise from symmetry of the outcome structure. A further state-effect bridge analysis classifies residual coordinate freedom and identifies an exceptional rank-two adjugate transformation with Lorentzian signature, which is removed when positive self-dual identification is required. The central interpretation is that probability can function as a lawful form of global completion: it can carry future-relevant law through unresolved structure even when deterministic uniqueness is unavailable. The paper does not derive a mechanism selecting one actual outcome and does not claim that every physical sector satisfies the stated hypotheses. Instead, it provides an explicit dependency-controlled architecture connecting lawful completion, reflection positivity, event qualification, contextuality, stochastic continuation, Hilbert reconstruction, and the Born rule.
This paper assembles the retained Holosphere Born-rule and entanglement arguments into explicitderivation chains. Reversible two-sided histories select a squared positive mode under a statedmeasure. A separate occupied-contact Hamiltonian gives conserved inventories, reciprocal energytransfer, protected circulation, and a connected finite-time loading and external-readout mechanism.Supporting derivations distinguish finite partner selection from mechanical binding, carried phasefrom analyzer rotation, two-mode compression from a closed physical receiver, and stationary trafficfrom first records. Matched receiving channels and capacity competition provide a conditionalroute from amplitudes to event fractions; the native tetrahedral comparison and feeder experimentestablish different, explicitly bounded physical results. The entanglement account derives the suppliedjoint-state benchmark, its classical alternatives, complete Bell accounting, rotating-contact eventmeasures, conservative repair, and the additional premises of a guidance-based completion. Eachargument is given one substantive location and linked to its dependencies. The work preservesgenuine model-level preparation, memory, loading and reading results without treating an assignedreference measure, tensor state, or recording protocol as an autonomous microscopic derivation.Autonomous reference generation, a physical arbitrary-axis analyzer, persistent external recording, and the complete native two-wing law remain separate connections. The complete common-solverPython program and Windows runner are retained unchanged in this derivation-focused edition.
